most of us have cell phones and with that these days comes the chance to get cool apps. wanted see what kind of things people are getting be it through their iphones, droids or windows based units. there's tons of things out there including a big amount of free shtein.
i have plenty of radio station apps like WMMR, 97.5, WMGK etc. also have some cool games and a swet tide/fishing report app.
last one i got is the bloom county comic app. huge fan and it's been so long since i read it that i am enjoying all over again.
so what are you guys have on your phones ?

sound boards are excellent. i have the hangover, snatch & herbert from family guy. also have a fart machine app.

yeah i have espn score center as well. game wise i have pac-man, finger bowling, super knockout boxing, pinball, fishin to go & asteroids.

Funny thing about it is that before getting the phone, I didn't need instant anything. I thought that text alerts and crap like that for sports scores were stupid and that it wouldn't kill anyone to wait until they got home to check online. But now I'm an iPhone toting douchebag and I get sports scores sent directly to my phone, email, facebook updates, blah blah blah. It's awful. I'm awful. And I admit it. At the same time though, for the amount of money I spent on this damn thing, you can bet your ass that I'm going to use it to it's maximum potential......except for the phone part. I hate talking on the phone and I try to avoid it like Todd avoids proper sentence structure.
Same here. It's a great source of instant information for me. I have a buttload of apps (about 8 pages worth), so I'm not going to list them all.
The iPhone really does make you do that shtein, I am just as guilty. It makes me sick how much I check it daily. Awful, awful device.
I have a blackberry with absolutely nothing on it and I still spend more time than I'm comfortable with looking at it. I can't imagine the levels of douchestacity I would reach if I actually had anything fun or interesting on my phone.
and if you have a hi-def screen movies look better than they do in the theatre.

:CF doesn't recognize the iPhone as a phone when you post. I've never had the phone icon on any message that I've posted from my phone. That's how awesome the iPhone is.....the board thinks it's a computer.
That's not special to the iPhone. I can pull up the regular :CF from my BlackBerry if I choose to do so. It's just that the quality of posts here really shines on the stripped-down mobile site.

Nah, I had a Crapberry and always saw the phone icon when I posted from it. Just noticed about a month ago that it doesn't do it when I post from my iPhone. I didn't know that :CF had a mobile version.
Also, I don't think it's any better or worse than the Droid, Evo or any other smartphone.....except Blackberry. I hated that phone and will never own another Blackberry product ever again. But I do think that the iPhone is a quality product and I have yet to be disappointed with it.

I saw a similar Eagles app for the iphone and I think they even wanted you to pay for it. It had some horrible Eagle head logo that looked like a 3 yr old drew it and from what I read in the user reviews, it basically just linked you to espn, cbs, etc, etc and that one appears to do the same thing. Pretty much a pointless app unless you just have to have an app with a messed up looking Eagle icon.

Just got the Droid X. Pretty amazing. Anyway, here are some of my faves. All are free:
Audiogalaxy-- it's awesome. Basically, it streams any non DRM mp3 from your home computer to your phone. Super high quality, and no lag at all. Now I have no reason to keep all of my mp3s on my phone. Super cool.
Barcode, Google Googles, Shopper-- all three search based on barcodes, etc. Very cool. Scan a barcode and get the best prices online, or at a location close to where you are. Google Googles also does searches based on a picture. So, for instance, it would know that the Chili's chili is from Chilis and does a search based on the image. Neat.
Dolphin HD-- Nice browser...more robust than the standard one.
JEFIT and DroidFit-- they work together. Good workout apps.
Where-- pretty robust. local movie, restaurant, entertainment with reviews, etc.
Shazaam-- Searches based on songs. If you use it with a song on the radio, it tells you what it is and where you can get it.
RockPlayer-- Great general media player (audio and video)
SportyPal-- Tracks your workouts via GPS. Select whether you're walking, running, biking, etc...it gives you a bunch of info, like average speed, distance and calories burned.
TuneIn radio-- super easy radio from literally anywhere. Great app.
TV.com-- watch full episodes of a lot of CBS shows.
Ringdroid-- easy way to clip and create custom ringtones from your mp3s.
Fios stuff-- Only great if you have fios, obviously...but I have a remote DVR app, and have it set so that I can use my phone as a remote on my TVs at home.
Vignett-- Camera app
PicSay-- Photo app
gmote-- Awesome. Basically, it lets me control my computer from my phone via wifi. I use an old laptop in my basement hooked up to a big TV to stream netflix...not I can just sit back and control the computer, including the keyboard, from my chair. Also uses the phone screen as a touchpad mouse. Too cool
