Awesome.
Yeah, no conflicts of interest there. At all.
He's absolutely flooded the airwaves with his inane commercials spouting the "lets get to work" party line. Yeah, let's get to work fleecing the public with medicare and medicaid fraud, you piece of shtein right wing weasel.
No hippos?
Many hippos, handle it!
Good, I want to hear more about how everything is the right wing's fault.
Where did I say everything was the right wing's fault?
I said this particular douchebag is a right-wing scumbag piece of shtein. Do some research into his background and you'll see why anyone who isn't a GOP apologist shudders at the thought of this guy becoming the governor of this state.
right wing = old white racist neanderthals
i was sitting in a bar in dc yesterday before meeting matty for the phils game and was eavesdropping on some super liberal conversation (one guy was a congressman but i didnt recognize him) that contained all kinds of anti ignorant love everyone talk and it made me super happy to think about where i live....cause i would literally cut my bird off if i lived in MA
QuoteSolantic has been the target of numerous employment discrimination suits, including one that settled with 7 plaintiffs for an undisclosed sum on May 23, 2007. These suits allegedly stem from a Scott directed policy to not hire elderly or overweight applicants, preferring "mainstream" candidates.
Nice.
What could be more mainstream in America right now than the triple chin?

Good question for Rome!
Douchebag's latest commercial is out. What he's for:
1. ACCOUNTABILITY BUDGETING (Whatever that means.)
2. CUT PROPERTY TAXES (Which constitutionally he has absolutely no power to do.)
3. REDUCE GOVERNMENT WORKFORCE (Ironic considering he's RUNNING for a government job.)
4. ELIMINATE EARMARKS (Um, what? Earmarks are nothing but provisions that mandate which funds are directly spent on specific projects. Isn't that what the government does?)
5. DRUG TESTING FOR WELFARE RECEIPIENTS) (Again, he has nothing to do with this since it's a FEDERAL entitlement program).
6. PHASE OUT BUSINESS INCOME TAX (Yes, makes sense what with the lower property taxes he's pushing for and the smaller government which actually won't be able to serve anyone since there won't be any revenue available to do anything)
That's it. That's his platform.
7. OPPRESS IMMIGRANTS
8. EAT BABIES
That's the libertarian candidate's platform, silly.
I wish I were rich enough to leave this country forever.
just stay north of virginia and east of harrisburg and it isnt a terrible place

Maybe the baby eating, but they would not want the government to spend resources oppressing anybody.
I'm a Libertarian and I'll pay millions to have you killed. Billions even.

They like the oppressing part just fine, so long as the funding isn't public.
Sure, live and let live. See no evil, hear no evil. Don't ask, don't tell. Six to one, half a dozen to the other.
Just to keep Rome's blood boiling for a few extra minutes... (http://www.tnr.com/blog/ed-kilgore/76791/tea-bags-wind-bags-and-moneybags)
I actually read that whole article.
+1 to Kilgore, whoever he is, for decent writing.

this clown is going to absolutely destroy this state.
Alas, the governor of Wisconsin is stealing a lot of the "look at this icehole governor" spotlight for the time being. Scott is going to have to step it up if he wants to compete.
I know it's the DailyKos but seriously...

It's like these tea party simpletons simply don't have the capacity to see beyond their own eight-foot, barbed-wired & electrified fenced back yards.

Ignorance doesn't mean dumb...
"Ignorance is not just a blank space on a person's mental map. It has contours and coherence, and for all I know rules of operation as well. So as a corollary to [the advice of] writing about what we know, maybe we should add getting familiar with our ignorance, and the possibilities therein for writing a good story." - Thomas Pynchon
i caught that.
Who's Thomas Pynchon?

Awesome.
Interesting in that detailed article they never mention (former) Senator and cat-killer Bill Frist and his family that co-founded Columbia with Scott.
Cat killer wha?? The good doctor kills kitties?
It was a bit of a scandal when it came out that he went to an animal shelter pretending to adopt cats but instead killed them after doing medical experimentation. He did it to get ahead in a competitive medical school. Apparently, that's the right stuff to become senate majority leader. TCK Frist.
holy crap I never heard that.
The first kitten I tried to adopt was rejected, because I didn't have vet references, for just that reason.
Sick.
Then again we are talking about Bill Frist.
Doctors and scientists have to get referrals in order to adopt?
Yeah, Bill Frist, who diagnosed Terry Schiavo from hundreds of miles away, and declared she was alive and responding? Bill Frist, ghoul doctor.
