Janette Lee is smoking hot, but I'd still whoop her ass at pool
Starting a thread in the sports forum about pool is bad enough.
Starting one with a comment about Jeanette Lee is worse.
Starting one without photos of her is banworthy.

Theres some babes that shoot pro pool. I might have posted pics of Shanelle Loraine before. Even so they're worth re-posting.

If she had some cocks in her butt, yes. As is, no.
well then someone needs to get working on the photoshop magic.
This video is from 2006 and features a young Jeanette Lee, before she was widely known as the Black Widow. The first two shots she makes on her run are amazing, just to have the guts to actually go for them and not play safe says loads about the player she is.

No Romey, don't even think about it. :-D
Lee has been known as The Black Widow for a lot longer than 4 years. She's been playing professionally since the late 80's.
no way she was unknown just four years ago...i dont even like or care about pool and i knew her as the black widow in the 90's
Sorry, it was from 1993, typo. Still, you're probably right, although I never really knew of her as BW back then. But anyway, how many times do you think she practiced this shot before she made it??

youtube is loaded with videos of her making incredible shots. And she owns a hot ass OCC chopper too!
OCC Black Widow chopper, and Jeanette breakin' balls.

Most trick shots, including that one, are more about proper set up than they are about actual skill and execution. That's one of the easier trick shots to do as long as all the balls are set up properly because there isn't a great deal of cue ball control required to pull it off. In all seriousness, a player of Lee's caliber could probably perfect that shot in no more than 5 tries.
A player of Lee's caliber doesn't get to be of that caliber by practicing shots 5 times. Dummy.
I know no one here will admit to watching the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, but the episode where Will gets hustled only to have Uncle Phil bail him out was classic:
Geoffrey, break out Lucille (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bT0Wp9LO4v4)

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about the placement of the balls, thats probably as important, or more important than the stroke. But, imo she practiced a little more than three times to make it. You shoot, right? I think I remember you saying you quit APA because of all the sandbaging. Well, just so happens my APA team won our division in our league, 1st tier. We went to a place called the Green Room in Dundalk. Nice tables, good felt and wide pockets. But...I'm a 5, kinda' middle of the road player, and got my ass chewed up and spit out by a 3. Guy ran one rack, and another after I broke. 3's just don't do that crap, and the ref's never said a friggen' word. I was dumbfounded. Our team lost three straight matches, only won two games.

There's a huge difference between pool players and trick shot artists. Lee is a pool player and will never, ever be challenged with making that shot during game play. But as I said, that particular shot requires very little skill and is more about the set up, than the execution. I gaurantee you she spends a lot more time setting up a rack and shooting one ball at a time than she does with trick shots.

I said 5x. Tomato, Tomahto. I've made that shot before and it took me about 10-15 tries to get the proper feel for the shot. So if a hack like me can get it right in approximate a dozen tries, then I'm pretty sure one of the best players on the planet doesn't need as many attempts.

Yeah, I used to shoot APA for a couple years and got sick of the sandbagging. I was a very strong 6/average 7. The sandbaggers kept farging up my handicap and I eventually got sick of it and quit playing. I didn't shoot much over the last 3 or 4 years but over the last couple months I've slowly been working myself back in. Found a local bar that has a tourney every other Saturday and some good money action every Friday night. The bar has 5 tables and I'm not signing up for their tourney until I win at least $200 on each table in a single night. 2 tables down, 3 to go. These are definitely some "used" tables so I gotta get a lot of shots in on each one before I start spending money on entry fees for a tourney every other week.
Whatever.
Dummy.
Hold me, Pooh Bear.
Do you shoot rjs? Just wondering. Pool is a sport for old athletes. A fun game that involves absolutely no physical ability.

Hardly ever. But I'll swear up and down that I'm better with the stick when I'm drunk, which, coincidentally, is the only time I ever play.
Thats most people. I can't get calmed down 'till I have at least two Bud's in me.

There's a difference between "sport" and "athletic competition.". Pool, Bowling, Darts, etc are all sports even though there is very little or no athletic ability needed to play any of them. Any pool player or dart thrower or bowler who ever refers to himself as an athlete is seriously mistaken though and annoys the living piss out of me. They are sportsman, not athletes. Just like pitchers and kickers.

No one plays better drunk, they're just too drunk to realize how much they suck.
I am and trust me I'm a million times better.
It's pretty much a given that getting drunk decreases hand/eye coordination along with your ability to concentrate, which are some of the most vital attributes to shooting pool. So other than maybe being more relaxed, it's completely illogical and improbable that anyone shoots better pool drunk than while sober. I won't say it's impossible, because I suppose there could be some freak of nature out there who somehow does play better while drunk, but those types of people are far few and in between. Who knows.....maybe you're one of those freaks, freak. I just know that I've never once seen a person shoot pool better drunk than sober.
Also, that the whole "I do blah blah blah better when I'm drunk" is one of the dumbest things to ever come out of a person's mouth. You don't sing better when you're drunk, you just don't sound as bad in your own head. You can't dance better after 6 shots of tequilla. You still look stupid but you're just too drunk and having too much fun to give a shtein. You can't shoot pool better, you're just more relaxed at the table. And if they person you're playing against is drunk too, then you both suck something awful but in your head you feel as though you're engaged in some all-time epic pool battle.
There's only 2 things a person does really well when drunk.....
Farging fat bitches and "forgetting" about it the next day.
Go to my friends list on facebook, look up Ben Guitas. He's my old roommate. Ask him how much better of a pool player I am when I'm drunk. I can't explain it either.
Freak.

Wrong again Einstein. Pool is a sport. Just like auto racing, golf, hunting, bowling, and in your lard asses case competitive eating, is a sport. Just because you probably suck at all of 'em 'sept the latter doesn't make them any less of a sport.

Most people throw hunting and even fishing under the "sport" category. Each competition has it's own set of rules and guidelines that must be adhered to.
However, I don't really consider either to be a sport because I find no sportsmanship in either of them. Sitting 200 yds away from a deer and shooting it with a scoped rifle isn't very sporting imo. Neither is using scientifically designed lures that are made to attract fish.
Fishing is literally no different than parking a van next to a playground with a sign that says "Free Candy" on it. So unless Child Abduction is considered a sport, then fishing isn't one either.
In fact, anything that requires the killing of an animal isn't sport imo unless it's simply man vs animal. I'd love nothing more than to see a man and a bull in an arena where the bull isn't drugged and stabbed multiple times. Just 1 dude, 1 bull and about 20 square yards of room to run.
Of course, just because I don't consider them very sporting doesn't mean that the rest of the world agrees with me.
I wish fishing was that easy.
For God's sake... more shots of hot pool playing bitches and less faggy bickering.

Fish aren't exactly known for being highly intelligent creatures. Neither are the redneck hillbillies on the pro-fishing circuit. So watching these inbred jackoffs get so excited about catching one of the dumbest animals on the planet is pretty laughable to me.
Hunting and fishing require skill and dedication and committment, but neither are sports. shtein, neither are even competetive. Who are you competing against? The fish? Do you get to talk trash and sleep with their fish girlfriends after winning? Does the dead whitetail owe you a six pack after you beat him in a game of one on one in the forest?
I don't really know what the hell my point is but venison is delicious. Oh and baseball is boring.

It's doe or die out there in the woods.
Whether that dead whitetail owes you a six pack or not, you gotta admit it took some skill to out fox it.

Lost playing APA tonight. Was shooting a 4 and it was a 3 to 4 race. I lost the first two, came back and won the next three, only to have a run in front of me and while lining a shot up, got too close to the cue and bumped it. It moved about a 16 of an inch.
farg.
I usually shoot straight 8 at the bar, and have never played in a league. Are these league rules?:
Ball in hand for scratch
Ball in hand if shooter doesn't hit his ball first
Ball in hand if either cue ball or shooter's ball doesn't hit the rail
Slop counts as long as shooter hits his ball first and knocks one of his in
Yes
Yes
Not APA or BCA rules, but I have played in a league that had that rule.
Yes, in APA. I forget if that's a rule in BCA or not. I don't think so.
Most leagues also require you to "mark" the pocket you plan on shooting the 8-ball into, meaning you have to place an object (other than chalk) next to the pocket you are going for. But even then, APA doesn't require you to call the route the ball will take (ie: off a rail), just as long as it gets there.
So which is better: APA or BCA?
When you play to win 200 bones at a table, do you use league rules?
I think I'd prefer straight 8 but can understand why you'd need to use ball in hand to speed up game play in leagues.
When money is on the table I absolutely will not play APA rules. Typically, you go by whatever the house rules are for pool. However, there's nothing saying that the 2 of you can't agree on your own rules. Most house rules are fairly simple:
Scratch = Cue ball anywhere behind the break line.
Call your shot along with the route the ball is going to take to get there (ie: bank, kiss off another ball, etc).
You cannot lead a combination shot with the other player's ball, however you can use their ball in the middle of a multi-ball combination as long as you start by contacting your ball first.
8 ball is/isn't neutral (It's close to 50/50).
But the bottom line is that if you're playing for money, then only do it if you are comfortable with and have a solid understanding of the rules in place. If you don't know much about APA or BCA rules, then either get a book and read up on them or simply don't play.
Any BCA league I've played in doesn't count slop. The ball ramaines off the table but you lose your shot.
APA league just finished. Slop counts which sucks...much rather have to call the pocket.
Out of 16 matches, I won 9 which isn't bad for a rookie I guess. Hopefully my handicap goes up next session...feel like a woman playing as a 3
just bought a pool table, got an american heritage 9 foot table for 1k, used. Not bad i dont think.
That's hell of a great deal. I'm assuming it's slate
What I love about 8 or 9 foot tables is when you play on them then go to a bar and play on their 7 foot tables, you farging dominate
its a 3 piece slate table. Bitch to move, but its a really sharp looking table. We found some folks who were downsizing and selling their house, and they wanted to unload it.
I've got a 3 slate table as well. It was my grandfather's and now it's sitting in my mom's house waiting for me to retire. This one has the ball return on it instead bag pockets, so there's a rail system underneath that runs from each pocket to the bin on the front of the table....making it even bitchier to move since you have to take the rails apart and then line them back up properly with the pockets.
My mom repainted it about 15 years ago. It looks good but I really wish she would have kept the original finish even though it was showing it's age. Table's gotta be at least 50 years old.
Your mom has your Willies and your pool table?
What else are you making her store for you?

If you're above .500, you're doing ok. I'm guessing that since you went through a 16 match season and are still handicapped as a 3, you aren't very good (or you play against people who make lots of luck slop shots), so I doubt your handicap will change to start the next session. W/L has pretty much no impact on your handicap, it's all about the number of innings it takes you to win a game. A few years ago I won 9 consecutive matches and dropped from a 6 to a 5 because I wasn't shooting particularly well and took a lot of innings to win my games. I also had a 4 match losing streak where I shot very well but was matched up against other strong players and my handicap went from 5 to 6 because the individual games I was winning were 2 innings or less. Crazy system.

Pretty much everything.
When I visited her for xmas, I raided the turkey coop that she converted into a storage shed for her kids and pulled out 3 boxes of old slot car sets, cleaned them up and checked to see if they still worked....which they did. :yay
Also pulled out my old HO train set but it's in pretty bad shape (had a basement fire as a kid and the soot never got cleaned off). Didn't get to work on that at all because it's going to take me a month to clean everything and try it out, so I shoved it back in the turkey coop.
She's also got a few boxes of GI Joe, Transformers and Star Wars toys along with some odds and ends of mine. It's really not that much though....maybe 10 boxes total that are about the same size boxes that you get packs of printer paper in.
Her garage on the other hand looks like a thrift store........everything that I don't want or my sister or anyone else that she knows goes in there and it's like a permanent garage sale.
I'm between not very good and decent. Bias makes me believe that every single motherfarger I played called at least two safeties
