He was one of Kiper's top ten left on the board coming into this round.  Its not like they can't use a TE.

Quote
Mike Mayock, NFL Network
125 -- Eagles -- TE Clay Harbor

The Eagles just picked Harbor from Missouri State, a small-school prospect who I think has tremendous potential and upside. He's a former WR. The Eagles will probably use him as an H-back or a move guy to compliment Brent Celek. He has a good hands, will compete in the run game, and is a studen of the game. I really like this pick, don't I?

QuoteCLAY HARBOR, TE, MISSOURI STATE. He's a soft-handed, explosive guy who has shown routerunning skills. He looks to be a playmaker in terms of stretching the seams in the passing game.

Another tweener.  He might end up at wide receiver because he sure as farg ain't big enough to play tight end in the NFL.

im open to him being a good player i just dont know why you take a less talented version of a henandez or even dickerson both guys who played against top notch competition

if nothing else it will be interesting to follow these three guys thruout their careers and see who was right

Hernandez was off the board in between the Eagles pick of Trevard Lindley and their group of picks in the 120's, and Dickerson didn't go all the way until pick 227.

I really didnt see Dickerson not getting drafted till the 7th, he must have really been a fleshpop to have his backup get drafted ahead of him.

Im excited to see how he looks in TC and the pre season.  Having Celek/HOF Ingram/Maine Coastal Town should be a heck of a combo if the other two are even as good as Thomason was, the future is bright

Had surgery to repair a sports hernia he claims to have had and played through all year.

Why, yes that is a shade of sarcastic emphasis on the word "played."
