hoping for this week since i dont think they will release it a day or two before the draft and after the draft would be later than in an recent years...however unlike years past i havent heard any rumblings about when it will be..
easy?
when do the skins play in philly?
when do possible roadies fall?
how many prime time games do they get this year?
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/When_will_the_2010_NFL_schedule_be_released
tomorrow possibly
that would be awesome but the lack promotion for this is staggering if its coming out tomorrow...especially on espns part....usually theyd have commericals all over the place for this
also looking at the phils schedule appears as tho the first three games will be home, away, away...unless week 2 or 3 is a monday niter
get a hold of yourself son
nothing staggering here anyway you slice it
yeah just one of the top three days of the entire year...not sports related.....period!
nothing to see here at all
first youre alone, isolated with no cell phone...now this is one of the top 3 non-sports related days of the year for you? man...I can be down in DC in about 2 hours if you want to talk or something. PM me.
looking at ESPNs tv schedule, they have a 3 hour block from 7-10 next monday that is TBD. otherwise i didn't see anything this week that looks like a schedule release show.
Oh man, ESPN is cancelling the season!

According to Profootballtalk.com, the NFL regular-season schedule will be announced later this week.
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told PFT that the schedule will be released later this week or early next week. But PFT spoke to a source who said the schedule will be announced this week.
I was out w my buddy last night who works for the league - he said next week.
i know nothing about anything but it seems to me theyd want two straight weeks of events and not want the schedule and draft happening in three or four day span
I agree...and he's a filthy Cowboys fan, so take it FWIW.

Where is the next Arizona-Philly game scheduled to be...in PHI or AZ?
at arizona next year (2011) if the current schedule rotation holds true
Sweet.
That would be a decent roadie right there.

Wasn't that the game where McNabb puked? The one where Andy wasted the entire clock in the 4th trying to score a TD when he should have just gone for the FG and the onside kick? farg it was hot that day.
Ahhhh the 4 puke job. So many fond memories....
Side note: the 3 games where we know don puked--@ jax, @tb and the sb-- the birds lost.

Totally.
28 intra-division games in the last 3 weeks, including ALL 16 GAMES in week 17 (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5117858)
im glad it took the nfl 80 years of existence to put division games at the end of the season. smart guys over there.
Eagles/Cowboys should be in week 17 every year, alternating host cities. Based on the results in 2008 versus those from 2009, I am glad that this year's will be at the Linc.

nothing short of all 16 games by the time 400 rolls around can save you.
The taterskins @ Eagles game will probably be a lame NFL Network game.
Why would the NFL air one of the highest rated games of the year on a network which half the country doesn't get? That game has 4:05 written all over it.
Just trying to picture the worst possible scenario to possibly ruin that game. taterskins @ Eagles sunday night earl in the season would be too good to be true.
the NBC sports guy down here leaked this skins schedule...
DAL (snf), HOU, @STL, @PHI, GB, INDY (snf), @CHI, @DET, BYE, PHI (mnf), @TEN, MIN, @NYG, TB, @DAL, @JAX, NYG
which would mean skins @ the linc on week 4.

thats always a give and take with fox and nbc/espn mediated by the league
fox is getting a lot of their top games stolen by primetime so getting mcnabbs return to philly as a 415 game leading into the first sunday of the tv season was clearly the result of that

I predict that Madsen will find a way to turn at least one potential win into a loss.
Random question to throw out....
Anyone who thinks they're going 6-10 based on the schedule... what order of the same games would change you mind? Or vice versa? What did you think they were going to do this year before yesterday? (even though you knew every game that was going to be there)
I don't think anyone here believes they're going 6-10, Cholly.
9-7 is more realistic judging on what they did last year and what they've added & lost so far. All that is going to change by Sunday, though...
I'm almost happy that this schedule looks brutal. If they had a cupcake schedule pressure and expectations would be through the roof. A new QB and a roster that has overturned so much is unlikely to produce a dominant team, even with the easiest of schedules. A year of finding their feet and getting a high draft pick next year doesn't sound so awful to me at all.

I don't think anyone here believes they're going 6-10, Cholly.
9-7 is more realistic judging on what they did last year and what they've added & lost so far. All that is going to change by Sunday, though...
the offense is basically the same other than kolb and kolb showed he can move the team up and down the field and score a lot of points. i think he's going to be better than mcnabb but that might just be wishful thinking on my part.
the defense is going to be a huge question mark, though, but considering the guys they got rid of are supposed to be replaced by upgrades, expecting a similar record or slightly worse (9-7 or 10-6) isn't that big a stretch.
i will say a total implosion wouldn't be the worst thing in the world because that would bring us one step closer to seeing the fat boy gone.
You know what else would bring us one step closer to Andy leaving? Sending him a cheesecake for every win. And two cheesecakes for every loss.
schedule isnt nearly as bad as everyone is thinking...only one back to back road games vs two sets of home and home games plus a middle of the season bye into a home game...
green bay - cobb gets to open up his starting career at home against a terrible secondary
detroit - 2nd straight roadie for detroit (this is a trend that will continue)
@ jacksonville - jags will be just coming back from a west coast trip against a good sd team...will be 25 thousand eagles fans there
washington - second straight roadie for the skins
@ sf - if you are gonna have a prime time game its good that its a aginst a team with no discernable home field advantage plus the 49ers will be coming back from a east coast swing
atlanta - second straight roadie for the falcons
indy - not only do they get indy at home after the bye but indy will be on a short week having played monday nite football the week before
@ wash - skins coming off a west coast trip birds taking a train down after having been in philly for three weeks
giants - two weeks leading up to this game for the giants are a west coast trip and a brutal game vs the cowboys
@ chicago - this is a tough one...on the road in a hostile enviroment and the bears coming in with ten days off
houston - houston goes to the jets week before then has short week and has to fly back to philly
@ dallas - tough game but have ten days off leading up to it
@ giants - real tough spot
minnesota - farve outdoors in december on the road - lock it up
dallas - 2nd roadie in a row for dallas
You love hyping Chicago as a tough opponent. I'll believe it when I see it.
i said nothing about chicago the team...i said its a hostile enviroment
you cant make judgements on teams in april and that game is week 12....so much can happen during the season before then that none of have any idea what either team will be like then
I've changed my mind. This team is going 15-1.
Kolb 4 Eva.
there's your tattoo idea.

Eagles all time record vs. the Bears is something like 6-30. I know games that happened 30 years ago should have no bearing on the current team but the Bears always give the Eagles a tough time.
As for the record who gives a shtein? This season isn't about w/l, it's about finally shedding dead weight and starting a new era with some young talent. The good thing for the Eagles is there is already some young talent on the team so they're not starting from scratch. I think 8-8 would be considered a successful season.
i love how the eagles have 9 home games
You forgot the Titans game.
i am excited about this upcoming season. finally we have something to look 'forward' to instead of groundhogs day.

You forgot the Titans game.
no i just didnt include it because there is nothing noteworthy about it...theres nothing leading up to it that makes it especially difficult or easy...its just another game...altho i probably should have included it and just said that
what ever happened to the london game? wasn't that supposed to be this year?
Can't wait for Kolb to throw 3 picks against Detroit in week 2
Me neither.

WHAT
There is something that will make it an easy win. Vince Young.
Worst QB in the history of football.
Do you mean Pro Bowl QB Vince Young?
you mean 2-time pro bowler.

This should be tattooed on every eagles fan's foreheads.
Nice job, that says it all. :yay

Says the guy who claims teams should never use travel as some sort of "excuse" for their play.
its absolutely not an excuse....but it can effect the outcome
as can weather....home field advantages...referees ect...
but to use those as an excuse as to why you didnt win (outside of maybe some egregious last second call by a ref that costs you) is weak
does everything need to be explained to you like youre some sort of a half wit?
dont answer that
So...it's not a reason or excuse for why a team won/lost...but it can effect the outcome of the game.
You do some terrible spin jobs but this may be by far the worst.
wtf?....you dont know the difference btwn an excuse and a reason
excuse - i left my textbook in my locker
reason - my mother passed away last night and i just didnt have the time
Before you backtrack in your next post, keep in mind you've said things akin to "if having to travel for a long period of time effects how you play the game, then you shouldn't be playing the game." Not an exact quote, but definitely what you have inferred in past posts (the Flyers thread comes to mind)

ah okay okay so you're saying it can be the reason a team lost, but any fan that tries to say that it was is just making excuses for the team.
Got it.
Edit-I'm looking forward with excitement to your next post where you realize you don't have a point or decent argument and resort to half assed, rehashed, sad personal insults that come no where close to actually pegging me in any way shape or form.
This is riveting stuff.
We're conducting a social experiment here GF, I'm actually kind of interested to see where this goes, as his next post is as predictable as Andy Reid's offense.
Wait... we get textbooks here?
No, Brian Textbooks was cut.
Hah! :-D
that was funny?
Only in Spanish.

munson actually laughs at peoples stuff here so that not everyone will hate him...its a nervous kind of 'if i do this he will maybe like me laugh'
and he always does it in the middle of one of his douchebag arguments thinking if he sucks up to people they will agree with him...its really scary actually
he does it all the time however i have personally never seen the hah exclamation smiley face all together...he must
really want gf's approval
You two could probably use a boost in your approval ratings. The latest national poles aren't looking so hot.

im not out for a high MA approval rating
You're also doing very poorly with young urban voters. Apparently they don't like trains.
This thread is getting uncomfortably awful. Even G_F's attempts at humor are much weaker than usual. It doesn't bode well for the Eagles doing well with their schedule.

You seem to have put a lot of thought into your categorizing of people who aren't like you.

I'm saving the good stuff for the draft.
I've heard that one before. Only last time, the only thing done before the draft was signing Mike McMahon.
Well, farg. All I had was a joke about Mike McMahon.

Perfect. Completely off base "insult", including some warped reason why I care so much about being cool on the internet. Didn't even address the actual argument because you know you'd sound like a dummy if you did, and waited a few posts until someone gave you a good transition post to take the focus of your idiotic talking yourself in circles and you could just try to keep the convo moving along with insults. Even followed it up with some MA posts. Flawless.
Now if only Andy Reid could run his predictable offense as smooth as you run your predictable posts.
And the joke wasn't funny at all, but it was so bad that I actually laughed a little bit and said WTF.

And there it is! IGY closes it out in Ryan Madson fashion with the Marla Hooch didn't read gif.

That's the beauty of having Washington in your division.
Isn't this something like the fourth time the Eagles have played the Cowboys in the last game of the regular season?
well, it's the third year in a row
I don't know how many times it's happened over the years
last time before 2007 was 1988
I like it, makes for some good games.
If there's anyone in the Philly area that still doesn't have NFL Network, the Texans game in December is gonna be simulcast on phl17...
I'm just going to have Sebiscuit lay his phone next to the TV for 3+ hours that night as there is still no sign on the horizon of NFL Network in the Pacific Ocean.
