Vick's return to Atlanta....fun
Glazer is reporting Ryan is already ruled out with turf toe (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/10454266/Glazer:-QB-Ryan-out-Sunday-vs.-Eagles) and Turner re-aggravated his high ankle sprain
Albert/Moose/Goose are calling the game again
Going look like a preseason game with injuries on both sides.
Hopefully this doesn't mean Reid throws Vick out there more, but I'll put the over under of Vick plays at 6
much will be made of the falcon injuries
but eagles have lost to the likes of bruce gradkowski josh mcown and jamarcus russell in recent times...hell jason campbell is a respectable 3-4 against them....
ice being hurt probably means they cant get blown out this game but they certainly can lose to chris redman
I'll take the under on that Tomahawk.
I agree that Redman can probably still get it done against the MASH unit. The Falcons still have a shot at the playoffs and will be playing for it. Besides the Tenn/Indy game, this is the second best 1:00 game.
i still cant believe that they played Turner last week, it made no sense, and looks even dumber now when you face a team that will be challenging you for a wildcard spot rather than a 1-9 team
After watching the Eagles against the taterskins...I have to believe that the Eagles will bounce back and make corrections and the offense will be more fluid.
Nothing in their past supports this claim. I wish I was high or drunk. But I'm just a stupid fan with unrealistic expectations.

Troof.
I'll be at this one. It has to be better than the Cincinnati game, right? RIGHT???!!
At least it'll be warmer...

And the Falcons signed the hero from that Gradkowski game; Matt Bryant to boot a 63yd FG.
The bigger story is Turner being hurt. Matty Ice has been in a 2nd year slump, but a power guy with speed like Turner could kill this team.
If Pimp can't go it's gonna be harder than it should be.
Cheggie Brownson is gonna rock the Georgia Dome this Sunday.
Going back hom, gonna see increased snaps.
Who's ready for a 5-75-1 day?!

That TBA vs. TBA game is gonna be a good one apparently
Yeah, wtf with TBA? Is this the week NBC/NFL can start picking the Sunday night matchup they want?
they pick the week 17 matchup the monday before, to ensure they get some kind of significance. thats the tba vs. tba thing i really didnt think that was too hard to under...oh right
they can start "flexing" games in week 9 or 10. they have a game already earmarked and can get rid of it if they want. cbs and fox can protect certain games or whatever, but basically they take a 3rd or 4th rate game from sunday afternoon and move it.
flex gaming starts in week 11
protected games rest of year
cbs
week 13: TEN - IND
week 14: SD - DAL
week 15: CIN - SD
week 16: BAL - PIT
fox
week 13: DAL - NYG
week 14: GB - CHI
week 15: GB - PIT
week 16: none
do they set these before the year? cause who gives a flying farg about the bears.
i believe they have until 12 days before week 11 begins to lock in their games
i dont know the week 14 schedule but my guess is there arent many good fox games...and gb is a ratings winner and chicago a huge market so they locked in that
What season was it when they had two teams with like 5 wins combined on MNF in December because the teams had gotten zesty since the previous season? I just remember chuckling at Madden and the other guy trying to talk the teams up.

My money is on the Browns being involved.

There's usually at least one stinker MNF game in December. A good late December one from 2005 was the 3-10 Packers getting blown out 48-3 by the 4-9 Ravens.
That primetime game against the Seahawks a few years back was a gem to watch too.
i know reggie was proud

Eagles who touched the ball in that game:
Brian Westbrook
L.J. Smith
Mike McMahon
Koy Detmer
Ryan Moats
Reggie Brown
Reno Mahe
Dexter Wynn
Greg Lewis
Darnerien McCants
Weapons!
Jesus :boom
Amazing that McNabb wasn't able to win a Super Bowl with guys like those around him.

lol, all I have to say about that one is...it was the only time I thanked my body for having morning sickness...kept me from going to that one.
So they will have three healthy WRs today (Avant, Cheggie and Maclin)
A TE fresh off a sprained thumb that caused him to drop 3-4 balls
Falcons pass defense is brutal (allowing 253 yards a game, 27th in the NFL)
OL is getting into a groove in the sense that they are playing 5 guys for the whole game + Shady is running well and Weezy is a stud.
Falcons run defense is also not very good (121 yards a game, 23rd in the NFL)
I hope Big Red leans on the run early and doesn't have McNabb air it out 50 times. Unlikely, even with depleted WR corps, but one can hope.
Vick coming back = non-factor
Maclin returning punts = scary
Falcons 12-1 in their last 13 at home (5-0 this year)
No Turner and Ryan, but I have this eerie feeling that Chris farging Redman and Jason Snelling are going to man up and conjure up the bad memories of scrubs like JaMarcus Russell, Bruce Gradkowski and James Mungro raping the defense.
Tony Gonzalez against these LBs? lol
Well, Phreak...lol..when you put it that way, why bother even watching? They have no chance.
We watch because we're suckers for punishment.
Jenkins is out too, so Rowdy Roddy will be covered by Asante and Sheldon will get Finneran or whoever
Stacy Andrews is a healthy scratch again
lol @ stacy andrews. what a colossal bust.

I'm just saying that it shouldnt be a shock if the Eagles play down to their level today.
I think they will win, but we've seen this script before.
Nevertheless,
Eagles - 27
Falcons - 14
Eagles roll
Eagles 33
Dirty Birds 17
Avant has a huge day
Over under
Number of Vick Plays 5
Number of times this dumb ass crew talks about Vick 100
Ah there's the Reggie Brown we know and love.
Great job so far:
Maclin gets tripped up by the punter with the whole field to run (and limps off, but came back in)
McNabb refuses to run for a first down
Cheggie drops an easy one
Yay farging red zone!!
Reggie redeems himself.
Phreak-Despite the ridiculous amount of FGs in the redzone, that stat they put up about the Eagles having the longest active scoring streak in the redzone is a tiny bit comforting.
Weaver! TD.....farg, the only eagles starter I don't have on my fantasy team :boom
Macho should have been flagged for something there, but Tony G definitely wrapped his arm around Macho's head and threw him down
Why does GameCenter show Kevin Curtis throwing four passes?

sucks that it was wasted, but that was a great farging route by Avant
donovan has been terrible today...throw a few more into the ground
:-D Jesus
He's thrown a few into the ground with pressure in his face. Yeah he's terrible.
The only one he needs to catch shtein for right now is the missed connection to Maclin on the crossing route.
Macho Harris (a zesty rookie) jawing to Tony Gonzalez (a Hall of Famer) after a play on which Harris covered Gonzalez poorly but the ball was thrown uncatchably.

Yeah, he's missed on some passes where he was throwing off his back foot because of the pressure in his face. He's also got a QB rating over 100 and is winning the game at the moment.
and they have 3 field goal attempts when they could have had touchdowns. they are beating a team with a back up qb, rb, left tackle and right guard. but yeah, lets start jerking off about having 13 points.
No, lets not start jerking off over 13 points. But lets blow up McNabb for not being able to complete 100% of his passes when the line is leaking like a sieve.
lol, he threw the ball into the field goal net
Vick with his first TD of the season. In Atlanta :-D

They were just splitting up the carries between him and Weaver early on....and Vick got a couple....then before you know it they were up by a bunch and just sat him the rest of the game. He wasn't really doing too much running the ball though.

Yeha teams key on him. When he is in there the playbook shrinks because he can't protect. Defenses know to look for two things when he is in the game: screen or run. If Donnie drops back when Shady is in the backfield the d-line almost stops rushing. If he hands off they are run-blitzing trying to shut him down before he gets started.
Can they please get rid of the McCoy singleback running plays now? They don't work. They won't ever work.

Florida & LA Pro sports Fans want some of that...
There were quite a few. But not as many as I've seen at other games. We want Vick chants immediately got him on the field, and seemed to alter Reid's game-calling. Too bad nothing his own fans chant ever gets taken seriously.
It was surreal - I've never seen a fanbase more passionately cheer for the other team's TD like the two Vick TDs.
saying the falcons have a fanbase is being very generous
They have Vick jerseys, at least.
Against a backup OT, killa was completely absent from the box score. No tackles, no sacks, nothing. Seemed like he had a better day than that...

There was quite a few falcons jerseys in the audience. They were clearing out after Vick's first TD, and then flooding out after Brown's TAINT. Guy in front of us (who was cheering Vick on like a muther-farger) said as much - that the Falcons' fanbase sucks.
