QuoteEagles replace Gaither with running back

Almost one week after announcing that linebacker Omar Gaither was out for the season, the Eagles placed him on injured reserve Wednesday.
Gaither's replacement on the roster is revealing; the team signed running back P.J. Hill off New Orleans' practice squad. Eagles coach Andy Reid has refused to rule out Brian Westbrook for this week's game after his "severe concussion" but Hill's signing is a clear indication Westbrook is unlikely to play.
Hill, an undrafted rookie from Wisconsin, is known as a power back that lacks receiving skills. He could potentially help on special teams and in short yardage situations.
Yay?
Well, we need a short yard power back. Look at most teams today and you see that they don't depend on just one runningback. Most have two with different styles, power and finesse. With the line we have there should never be a doubt that this team can pick up three yards in a pinch for a first down. Every back doesn't have to have great speed, cutting ability and receiving skills. You have to have the guy who can get those two or three yards for the first. But it has seemed that Andy Reid doesn't feel that way.
He'll never see the field.
