lets see if reid watched some tape of the skins game and noticed that every pass mcnabb threw was towards/down the sidelines or checked down? doubt it but disgusting anyway. throw some inside slants, crossing routes, and work over top the lb's....the giants team can/will give up yards through he air

It's only a matter of time until this team gets REALLY embarrassed. On either side of the ball and special teams they appear both unprepared and unmotivated = poor coaching. Witherspoon was a very pleasant exception to the above. This game could get very ugly very early. I am bringing two guests so I have to go, but if I wasn't I would TiVo it and go hunting, fishing or do an in home root canal. As many on this board have said before the season started do we really need to watch another 9-7 team maybe get a wildcard? The truth is 75% of the NFL Teams suck. Poor fundamentals = poor coaching. IMO they might as well have their lockout and start over in 2011.
They were nearly shut out by the Raiders, and the defense rolled over and died against the Saints. I'm not sure how much more embarrassment you're looking for.

I agree, but I think it's just as big that Westbrook is worlds better in pass protection than Shady at this point... and the Giants know that.
Do the Gints really lose three in a row? I think not unless sheli tosses 2 picks and Killa tosses his salad a few times.
In reality, D plays ok, but gets tired after too many three-and-outs. Birds lose in a desultory fashion 27-17, failing miserably on third downs and meekly accepting FG's instead of TD's. Westy doesn't play, McCoy gets little help and the tumescent one goes 65/35 on passing ratio. Pimp provides the few highlights of the day, but also does something silly as well.
Really went out on a limb, didn't I?

yeah i wonder if witherspoon will look as good trying to shed the giants offensive line while brandon jacobs runs downhill on him all game...giants arent world beaters but they also arent tampa the chiefs oakland carolina or DC
Their D even when fresh gives up too many yards, I know bottom line is points. Often times though even when they do receive support from the offense at the end of the game they get tired because they allow teams to stay out on the field.

The people who need to be made aware that Jason Avant is still an Eagle are the quarterback, the coach and the offensive coordinator. No plays have been called for him and McNabb hasn't looked his way at all. He prefers to check it down for a half a yard.

A recipe for disaster right there.
Until he improves that, which won't happen until the fat bodies pick up a blitz or two and until the backs can help out a bit, he's going to get blitzed into next week.
Thank you Raiders, of all teams, for exposing the weakness!

Quotespeaking of the game is it amazing to anyone else that as much of a train wreck as the Eagles have been and they have been epically bad both on and off the field that if they win they will be tied with the Giants in the win column

lol @ the diving whiff block attempt. couldn't tell who it was, but someone from the giants tried throwing a block at sheldon and completly missed.
Kind of reminds me of the Dallas game last year, just with a little less on the line. The team has just come out with a 'we are unstoppable' mentality. It'd be nice if they'd do it week in and week out.
PS-ANy chance Andy Reid figures out that his use of the run early in this game maybe just maybe helped open up the passing game so much? Probably not.

speaking of reid, might as well point out that he's called a fairly good game so far. other than the weaver td run, there hasn't been much in the ground game but he's still mixing in enough carries to keep the giants honest.

That's the thing. You don't have to be killing them on the ground. All Reid has to do is show the D that he
will run the ball...and that's enough. I know it... you know it... most of us know it... don't know why Reid can't get it figured out.

That's what boggles the mind, like in the raiders game. How come he can't see the obvious everyone else and their grandmother can? I think he sees it as being disciplined and sticking to a game plan, but there's got to be room for adjustments sometime. That said, all good today.

i'll give reid a little credit on this one. i think he knew that the entire play was going to get reviewed by challenging the fumble and that they would look at the lateral anyway. so he's basically getting 2 challenges for the price of 1 by challenging the fumble.

time out?? WTF? Does Reid get paid by the used t.o.?
If Andy Reid calls another play for the Eagles someone should shoot him. Let Marty keep doing it.

Werd up
He has called more than his share of no-run games too.
I have to laugh at this conspiracy theory that Mornhinweg calls all the good games and Reid calls all the bad ones. As far as we know, the Eagles playcalling system is the same as it's been since 2006. And based on things I've heard him say in the press, it seems like Mornhinweg loves the pass as much as, if not more than, Reid.
Not today
Marty has been calling the plays for awhile...
Awesome game today. I didn't expect it to be a complete ass whuppin nor did I imagine the Giants losing three in a row, but the Eagles came strapped today.
Leonard Weaver is a farging beast.
Eli shtein all over himself
McCoy has great break speed, but still makes me nervous as farg when he carries the ball
McNabb was on point all day. The batted balls were annoying though.
Pimp, Celek, Maclin, McCoy....jesus.
Now....finish this weekend off the right way. And kill the farging Cowboys next week!
23 pass attempts, 24 rush attempts. When was the last time the rush attempts outnumbered the pass attempts?

Neither did I, but I'm happy to be wrong.

He reminds me more and more of Bwest. He can cut with the best of them. Now, if he can start picking up the blitz, he'd be a complete player.

fox can't fire goose soon enough. he's awful. the funny thing about it though is that he's improved a lot over the last couple of years just to work his way up to awful.
Thank god the sound was down at the sports bar.
Goose used to be so bad that I thought it was funny, and it was entertaining to have him out there. Now he's not bad enough to be funny, just bad.
