It's not easy to say this coming off the mess of yesterday, but if they lose to this abortion of a team then every last player and coach should be fired.
Jim Zorn had the play calling duties forcibly taken away from him and they will likely be handed over to Sherman Lewis, who was plucked out of a BINGO HALL (no bullshtein). He was last employed in the NFL in 2004. He last called plays in 1999.
Jason Campbell was benched and they don't know who is going to start, him or Todd Collins.
Their OL is in shambles.
The Eagles, and they usually are good about this, should come out and thrash them since they got embarrassed yesterday.
I care about as much about that game as the Eagles players cared about the Oakland game which is to say not a whole hell of a lot.
Until they fire Reid none of us should care.
This team is the aborted fecal vitamins usually found in my toilet.

that said ill be in the house on monday
until they prove to me that they can beat a good team i really dont give a flying farg about them this year
It's not even about winning or losing anymore for me. Reid is a clown and I'm sick of him, Banner, Lurie, McNabb and the rest of them.
Until Reid's gone I won't care about them at all. I'll watch, of course, because I'm a hopeless & pathetic idiot.
I will be at this game. Looking to catch the Flyers game on Tuesday too if anyone gives a flying farg.
Monday is my birthday. These fargfaces better win to help me get through my early mid-life crisis

banner couldnt' give 2 shteins about where the city's heart and soul are because he's a heartless, souless jewbag. we can only dream that being 2nd fiddle will piss lurie off enough to start making some changes. i seriously doubt it, but i can dream.
I'm sure they're more than happy to have the spotlight off of them this week. And anything less than a complete evisceration of the Skins on Monday is unacceptable.
The spotlight is never really off, just dimmed.
andy doesnt mind the land of attention but lurie and banner and two very jealous and pity jews. they are killing themselves that the phillies have stuck it to them again.

Take alot more then just killing the Skins... Living in Cali after the Raiders win is a night-mare.. Monday was a tough day at work... I talked trash all week too, thank god the Phillies beat the Dodgers last night.
Glad the Eagles get to play another team-in-crisis this week. Yay.
Edit, wrong topic! :-D
This fargin team is so up and down, who the farg knows what will happen Monday night? After watching the pitiful exhibition of coaching and football this past Sunday, I'm almost beyond the point of caring. How the farg does Andy Reid still have a job after the bullshtein job of playcalling and coaching he did last Sunday?? This team will never, ever get over the hump as long as that ignorant, hard headed bastich is the coach of this team. How can any o line block when the D knows without a shadow of a doubt that there will be no running the ball?? HOW?!?
its going to be hilarious when they lose again. i can thank the phillies and not giving a shtein about this team to make that so.
Anyone who thinks the Eagles lose this game is retarded.
Of course, that's what everyone said last week.

if any team has something to prove this week its the taterskins
The only thing the taterskins have to prove is their identity when they go to cash checks.
Yeah, seriously....the Raiders suck but as this season has progressed, the taterskins have become the most pathetic story in the NFL.
Golic going off yesterday on the hiring of Sherman Lewis to take over playcalls was hilarous.
I remember when bob golic was on saved by the bell: the college years. Those were the days...
So if McNabb has a terrible first half, does Reid have a quick hook at half-time? Or will that take another week? A Monday night embarrassment will not go-down well. All the other issues aside in the OAK game, he played poorly - regressing to mid-season form of last year. How long will Reid put up with it?
interesting question especially with how cobb played
but i still i think he would have to be bad for at least two more games skins and giants...and like epic bad
jim rome had a pretty funny bit about sherm lewis yesterday too. talking about how all the skins plays would have corresponding bingo numbers assigned to them.
it's 3rd and 12 and sherm lewis is standing on the sidelines spinning a giant bowl of bingo balls. "coach we need a play!" lewis "ok......g......17."
campbell then checks his wrist band "g 17? that's a fullback dive. coach, it's 3rd and 12!"

If the line is keeping McNabb clean and he isn't completing passes, Kolb goes in. If McNabb is getting killed and not completing passes, he stays out there for 50 attempts.

McNabb's bad performance last week was based on the fact that he was getting killed. This wasn't your typical game that Donovan sucks in, sometimes he just blows. Last week was due to the fact he was on his back or had hands in his face. There are very few QBs that pressure doesn't affect.
there were plenty of oppotunities for mcnabb last week. yes, he did get beat up pretty good as the o-line protected him like a torn condom but there were still plenty of throws that he simply missed....bad. the plays where he did get protection and had time to plant his feet and throw, were still horribly inaccurate.
every year mcnabb has a game or 2 where he couldn't hit an iceberg if he was steering the titanic. this looked like one of those games. am i blaming it all on him? hell no. but i didn't see anything from him this week that made me think "damn, if the line could just block for him and give him a chance to throw, he'd be doing ok." he sucked, the line sucked, reid sucked, the playcalling sucked, the extra blockers sucked, the pidgeon sucked and the grilled cheese sammich my g/f made for me during the game sucked. farg off
There were also like seven dropped passes. As far as bad games go for McNabb this wasn't as bad as they get. I don't care if he has time or not on a few plays QBs that get battered tend to lose accuracy. Not one of the strong points of his game anyway.
his 56% clip hes at this year is bad even for him

He was sacked more times against Oakland (6) than Drew Brees has been all season (4).
What the Eagle's O-line might look like:
Plus the Saints are smart enough to run the ball when they are averaging 4.8yds/carry versus 4.2yards/completion.
:boom
I's also add that his inability to see the situation and influence more of his own game is part of the reason for blow-up games like last week. Why can't he create significant change for what seems so obvious during the game?

Now I can safely say I could give a shtein about this game. Between Einstein Reid and "G 5. BINGO!" calling the shots, snooze fest.
I dunno. A win might be a yawn, as it likely means nothing more than a bumbling forward to a mid-January (at best) exit. A loss, though, would be a bit of a watershed moment. Reid's teams normally come roaring back after an embarrassment. I'm not certain they can now do this.
For all the defensive/LB wailing, they did hold them to 13 points. No reason the offense shouldn't have won the game even with the porous line.
I think there is more in the balance for this game than might appear.
haynesworth is going to have a field day...or at the very least open all kinds of shtein up for other people....reid better have a better game plan this week that includes more than just 5-7 foot drops and winging the ball down the sideline to mack
So, first offensive play, do they try to throw it deep or wait until the second play to throw them off?

Well, we have to account for the "I was right about Vick" factor with Reid. The obligatory first drive bomb might have to wait until second or even third down.
not just vick but the whole wildcat thing...you know he wants the nation to think hes smarter than miami...and that miami win over the jets was national

Id let go of any field day talk of haynesworth....open up for other yes...but that injury riddled lazy piece of shtein hasnt even sniffed the worst of qbs yet this year for the amount of loot hes getting. the hose job he put on that organization is classic
Im not expecting any kind of blowout here because the eagles love to keep these kind of games close. the skins defense has actually been pretty good in containing opposing offenses and are up there in the top tier in sacks....but the only crooked thing here is their opposing offenses were pure garbage except for the giants

I wouldn't rule out the old McNabb-to-Westbrook-back-to-McNabb flea flicker. Have they run that yet? You know, the one where it's either fumbled on the toss-back, sacked by a d-lineman who is unamused and unimpressed, or tossed for a late, across-the-middle pick...
Boring, and without true genius. How about McNabb-to-Westbrook-back-to-McNabb fake flea flicker-shovel pass-back-to-Westbrook?
No no no, you gotta spice that up a little. McNabb to Westbrook to McNabb fake flea flicker with a handoff to Jackson on the end around.

HYPOCRITE WHITE TRASH DOUCHE GO AWAY
Uh....no.
Munson,
I want that old Eagles helmet with the green wings. Still my all time favorite.
That's just one of the many many many things they have. That's got a bunch of autographs on it but I forget who. The other room that my uncle had built onto his house contains a piece of the vet turf and autographed game worn Eric Allen cleats, just to name a few things.
My family is nuts, but I love it. It's like going to a sports bar of all Eagles fans and eating/drinking for free.
I had an old circa 1973 Eagles Rawlings helmet form JC Penny's. I think it's still at my mom's house but I used it in pee wee football and kept changing facemasks on it. Beat the hell out of it.
Funny thing is my two best Friends growing up were taterskin and Cowboy fans. Both had helmets as well. We looked like a bunch of dorks on our football team as everyone else had yellow helmets (the school colors) and here we are wearing our Eagles/Skins/Cowboys helmet. One dude had the old Rams helmet, talking with the white horns on it.
The fact that Munson continues to set himself for abuse here is both sad and hysterical at the same time. He'd make a great focus case for a senior thesis if you were a behavioral sciences major and subject of the thesis centered on the internet.

Munson's family bought Joey B a beach cottage with all the shtein they've bought from NFLShop. I used to know a guy with a basement like that, he was my dealer in HS, dude was 40 and still living with his mom. You'd go over there, and it'd be eagles shtein everywhere, and a 100% guarantee he had led zepplin playing in the background.
THe tv's are attached by duct tape too. :-D

Is there any doubt that place smells like it has been flooded by raw sewage repeatedly? Also, every single beer served there EVER came in a can.

At least I think. We play a mean Cute Without The E cover. He's from West Virginia so there's a lot of hick influence in his music. Not to mention hardcore...but I can deal. A band's a band.

Liar? Go back to the week 2 or so thread....Spads was at my Uncles to do part of THe Andy Reid Show (or The Donovan McNabb Show, one of those gay pregame shows on sunday morning) to interview/look around at all the shtein...it's happened for the last 3 years or so. My Dad's got more new stuff, but my uncle owns all the older shtein....autographed Randall jersey, the eric allen spikes, helmets signed with god knows how many players.
Most of that shtein was easier to get your hands on when TC was at West Chester and you could pretty much walk up to the players.
not that having spads come over is anything to brag about but someone knows spads then....because that place is horrific
My family knows a lot of people, but they don't know Spads. Though I guess by now they do, he's been there at least 3 times now. He's not the only one to come up though....CBS and Fox (Beasely and Tollefson) both came up a couple times too. It's not that shocking, considering that this will be the first week that the taterskins are not playing a team with 0 wins coming into the game. And the two games they won, they won by a combined 5 points over the Rams and Bucs.
When you look at the rest of their schedule, they might not win another game all year.
Why is everyone so obsessed with munson? I've never seen so many grown man obsessed with a teenager.

You wish you had half the shtein they have up there.
And the taterskins are only close to the Eagles in record because they may be the one team that has played a schedule more pathetic than the Eagles. They're lucky they've made it to 2-3. The Eagles are unfortunate to be at 3-2, and should be at 4-1.
God almighty!! I'll be glad when sunday gets here and everyone starts talking about football again.
Its okay, the mancrush they have on me almost prevents the stupid "the taterskins are better than the Eagles" argument that IGY starts every year and is wrong every year but like one.
Here's to hoping Andy Reid remembers to run the ball more than 12 times this monday :yay

[/quote]
The difference is that the taterskins had, literally, the easiest opening schedule in the history of the league. Never in league history has a team played 6 straight 0 win teams (and yes I understand that the first team was 0-0). It was again, the easiest opening schedule ever, and they went 2-4.
ok so the eagles had the second easiest ever...and who knows by the end of the year maybe the teams the skins played so far end up being better...the point is the difference is minimal and you cant with a straight face kill the skins schedule and not the eagles
but the original point is as bad as the skins have been its unfathomable to me that if they win this game they have the same amount of wins as the birds

If I'm not mistaken this will be the first time Babin gets most of his play as a DE. That's what made him really good in college. I'm pretty sure most of his career in the NFL they tried to make him a stand-up LB....and not even the rush variety. Who knows....dook might show something. He probably will do nothing, but he might turn into a decent situational guy, and based off the guy's preseason, you've got to give him his shot.

ASHBURN, Va. (AP)—Washington taterskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth(notes) is questionable for Monday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles with a sprained ankle.
Haynesworth practiced Saturday for the first time this week, but he was limited. Coach Jim Zorn said Haynesworth will be a game-time decision.

Racist ^
Apparently all white people must have pictures with black people or they are racist.
And yeah it's definitely a good time. Better than any sports bar I've been too yet at least. Family cooks some pasta and burgers, then a lot of the guests bring other foods and deserts and everyone can eat and drink and enjoy the game.

I'd rather go there then the dusty drum basement place.
Haha they both have the same thing going on every weekend. That picture was from week 1 this year and other than laundry no one really goes down there during the offseason, hence the dust on the drums. Both places used to just use the real drum sets, but the faux sets didn't take up as much space so they switched. But yeah my Uncle had that addition built onto his house specifically for the purpose of watching Eagles games every weekend with a ton of people, so it's definitely better suited for it.

What's worrying me about tonight:
1. The unknown about Mr. B-46's offense.Sure he hasn't called plays since 1999 and been in the NFL since 2004, but I worry about what he can put together and the Eagles have no game film with him calling shots.
2. Allowing pressure on McNabb. Fat Albert is opening things up for the other guys, like he is supposed to do. And Orakpo seems to be the biggest beneficiary. Although severely miscast as a SAM LB, he's getting sacks.
Speaking of Orakpo at SLB; if the Eagles don't exploit him in coverage tonight it will be ridiculous. Brent Celek and Brian Westbrook all day long in the flats.
3. taterskins always play them tough. McNabb had zero TDs against them last year. Don't play down to these bums, Eagles.
Every week I wonder how teams can't figure out how to beat the Eagles. They are the most predictable team in the NFL.

i really don't think hainesworth has been overly impressive so far this year. i haven't seen every taterskins snap, but what i have seen hasn't done much for me. i said it before the season started that the taterskins defense (as good as it legitimately is) will be completely worn out by week 8 because of the amount of time they spend on the field. even if they play solid for 3 quarters, they'll be dead in the 4th quarter.
Quote

after a game like oakland, reid does seem to have a history of seriously adjusting his playcalling the following week. so even though this is a favorable passing matchup, expect reid to counter with lot's of fullback dives.
Quote3. taterskins always play them tough. McNabb had zero TDs against them last year. Don't play down to these bums, Eagles.
this is the only unknown variable. division rivals and the games are usually hard fought and close regardless of the difference in talent on the 2 teams. however, even without throwing any td's last year against the skins, mcnabb has thrown 25 against them in his career which is the most he's thrown against any 1 opponent. look for that to continue tonight.
there is almost no way that the taterskins win this game tonight. don't let last week's game against the raiders fool you. the eagles might not be great but they certainly aren't as bad as we saw last week. and they are clearly the superior team on the field tonight too. this game has no business being close after the 1st quarter.

True. After stink bombs in CIN and BAL last year they came out and unloaded on the Cards. So i guess we can expect a thumping tonight followed up by a return of misery the next two weeks.

I hope you're right, but I can just see them getting right with Eli going off against them. Of course, Brandon Jacobs hasn't done shtein all year, but he'll probably have a hundred by the half.,
Eagles/taterskins Talk
Odds the Eagles are the first team to give up more than 17 points to the taterskins tonight?
FYI they haven't scored more than that all year.
I think the last time they dropped 30 was in 2007.

I could definitely see it happening, but if they do the Eagles will score like 38. AT least I hope they do because I've got farging five of them starting for my team this week. Homer alert.
Well the way the Eagles always score gazillions of points on the taterskins, I'm sure you'll make out fine. Gazillions!
Well McNabb has the most TD's of his career against the taterskins...that's about all I can hope for.
Steve Young a few seconds ago on SC: "They've got Marty Mornhinweg, one of the best X's and O's guys out there".

Mo,
I just started to get the feeling when they showed the stadium and heard the monday night music.
I smell a flea flicker today. Andy always runs them off bad losses and against the taterskins.
I think the Eagles don't score more than 14 and get beat by at least 10.
So I'll say taterskins 27 Eagles 13
One miserably embarrassing loss closer to that fat corksucker being shown the door.
Reverse jinx?
yeah as Reid is expected to sign an extension any day now...show him the door
phreak got it & reese missed it by a farging country mile.
least shocking outcome ever.
With future Hall of Famers Chris Samuels and Sean Taylor unavailable to play in the game, the Eagles are gonna whoop that ass.

ha...yeah ok
Eagles - 34
taterskins - 13
Eagles 28, taterskins 14
But stalled drives are going to take a couple more scores from the Eagles.
it's not really a reverse jinx until igy picks the eagles to beat the skins.

oh shtein.
i was just about to comment on how the balanced play calling has so far resulted in a huge td play followed up by a smooth, steady, efficient looking drive. but since westbrook is down, might was well get ready to see mcnabb drop back 56 more times tonight.
no worries, Rook can handle it while Westy clears his cobwebs.

What I find funny this that Andy Reid, king of pass, never seems to do so out of that formation (and only rarely even with felon QB Vick in it). If McCoy is back there, key on the run.
If I can see that, I am sure that coaches with a modicum of football training can blow it up quickly. Yet two-time coach of the year Andrew F. Reid doesn't seem to realize that.

McNabb just isn't that good anymore. He isn't as bad as some of the terrible QBs in the NFL, but the way he plays it can take an offense out of rhythm so easily. Missing wide open targets, balls into the ground, locking into receivers. He'll have a really good game now and then where he'll throw for 3 TDs and 320 yards on a terrible defense, but in close games man he is brutal sometimes.
I don't think it is a stretch now to be in favor of going with Kolb next year.

Spoon is a one man wrecking crew tonight!
Werd
and LOL at Zorn clapping at the fg :-D
maybe they let him call that play
:-D
:yay :-D
::)
:paranoid :-D
Special Teams = not so special
so that's how play action is supposed to work.
Pimp on the sidelines

Pimp on the sidelines
And obviously he was in on the PR. All good.
LOL at McNabb "run this town tonight" put a pic of Pimp or Spoon.
Run on 3rd & 13 and then a timeout before the punt. Masterful playcalling from Reid tonight.
I can't believe we had a timeout left with 10 to go in the third, way to go Andy!
Babin ??? :-D
bbitch
lol.....the only way the eagles can move the ball is if washington commits personal fouls.

The taterskins have not given up 28 points in a regular season game since November 18, 2007.
might not get 28 if they keep dicking around out there
no more throws behind the line of scrimmage please
Quote from: QB Eagles on October 26, 2009, 10:49:59 PM
no more throws behind the line of scrimmage please
but those are the only ones keeping mcnabb's completion percentage up
we should be up by 40 :-X oh farg you Andy for the 90th time tonight.
Reid Sucks.
The Eagles look horrible and are up17. The taterskins are so bad. Donovan sucks.
At least we have a chance in one game in philly next sunday.
"all the chances for wins (taterskins) were back in september, they're not coming back"
:-D
i didn't think it was possible, but the eagles are worse in the 2nd half than they were in the first. this offense is farging pathetic.
I'm ready for Kolb and I'm not joking. The Eagles are going nowhere with Donovan. Might as well see if Kolb can play well versus good competition.
Worst blow out win ever
6 fargin first downs tonight. SIX!!!
die andy.
Oh and the sooner Sav is gone the better.
Hey Fat Ass, if your not happy with the punt, try calling plays that can produce a first down, asshat.
I never realized how bad Gruden is, probably just never paid attention
I'll take him as the head coach, plus cash to supply food for Reid at ESPN headquaters for 3 yrs.
holy ish :o 1st down
Hey, a FIRST DOWN! :crazy
LOL at Gruden. " they keep coming out attacking" priceless :-D
Zesty
Wow, welcome back Herremans
we have a ton of inventory at qb according to gruden.
McNabb is "durable"?

i'm disgusted to the point that i'm strongly considering changing the channel. and they are farging winning.

whats he gonna say:
"uh the coach didn't put the guys in the right position to win"
"that paly is on the coach"
"uh I'll take the tripple fatty burger with a side of grease"
Yeah I could handle Chuckie on the sideline and fat ass in the booth.
McNabb is a joke. Hold, hold, hold, sack. Wait, wait, wait, check down on 3rd and 9. Wide open receiver? Lets throw the ball to the grass.
we could use the little lefty dressed in black, that was a nice pass.
Hobbs got jacked up :-D
Nothing left of Hobbs but sub atomic particles
Holy ish, we could very easily lose this game.
Gruden might suck at play by play but he has more Super Bowl rings than Andy ever will...
nice fargin hit!
Since the last TD, I've need 10 points from Mcnabb, Desean, Celek, and Akers and I don't think I'm going to get it... farging losers.
And I lost in my other league by one point for the third time this year after putting up the second or third highest point total of the week.
nice stop on 3rd there
Scrappy :yay
other than the two DeSean plays and the Witherspoon INT, this game has sucked
::)
SWEET!!
"and that summarizes the Washington taterskins." priceless. :-D :-D :-D :-D
Sucks to be a Skins fan right there.
:-D

agreed, what a fargn horrible win.
worst commerical eva
God are the igs lucky they are playing a horrendously awful team
Our great offense has sucked...
Other than Pimp of course...
Mcnabb looks shteinastic.
this team is bad. i mean really farging bad. luckily, the skins are the worst run team in football.
Just keep throwing. Genius I say!
LOL horrible
One of the worst games of McNabb's career and it's a blowout win. Go figure.
The only reason he has no INTs is because worms can't catch.
I would like to see a rule where if you stand in front of the ref making penalty hand signals you get flagged for being a douche.
All hail Haynesworth
Wow, I think they took a whopping 40 seconds off the clock that whole series. unfarging believable

No way. That's ten second more than their regular clock killing drives.
LOL at Campbell Blasted!!
Eagles pass protection = illegal holding
Skins pass protection = nonexistent
Some nice attempted shirt-tail tackling by Asante there.
Way to jump at him moron.
Nice to see Asante still knows how to tackle.
I guess the least bad team won tonight.
O-line jacked up? Pass the ball.
Comfortable lead on a horrible team? Pass the ball.
QB having a bad game? Pass the ball.
Yep, that's Reid football.... :boom
Should have been 40-10.

I'm glad I had a fantasy bball draft during this game...
I'm pissed I lost by 10 in fantasy because Celek gave me .7 points and his TE had 30.
WIDE OPEN :-D
I was about to say "oh man, that was an awesome catch" but he dropped it so I started laughing.

Celek is killing me too. I can escape with a Moss TD here but that's about it.
the only way this could be any more infuriating is if i was watching this game in munson's basement.

taterskins can score again even after the Eagles recover this. They have one timeout. You figure the Eagles run once and throw the ball twice, which means Washington can lead one more "drive" down the field.

When I go to watch this game later, which will take the longest to skip through:
the commercials
the injuries
Gruden and Jaws saying stupid shtein
well i'm glad to see that the eagles came out ready to prove that last week was just a fluke.

Jaws shockingly didn't get a lot of words in tonight (by his standards)... Gruden might have bumped a line before the game because he was the only person in the world excited by that shtein tonight.

i usually turn it off during the game but it was pretty slow in here tonight so i didn't bother. otherwise, i like having it on.
I'm tired of announcers talking about Andy Reid is such a winning coach...
he farging sucks... he had some great teams.. and has zero championships because he would also leave the teams with a fatal flaw... (ala zesty Wideouts/zesty LB/SS combo) or just farg us over with bad play calling..

ha!
thank god for the phillies.
The Eagles didn't have one offensive snap in the Red Zone the entire game. Not one. Speaks to both the big play ability and the zestyness of the offense at the same time.
Why do I fell like they lost 27-17? farg that was awful. Giants twice, Cowboys twice, Broncos, 49ers, Falcons, Skins again, Chargers, Bears. Lucky to finish 7-9.
The most pass happy team in NFL history. Minimum 100 games. A QB who should only throw 50% of the plays. An oline built to run. A running back who could if given the chance run and run well, and a rookie RB who could be the next Westbrook. This all makes sense to me now.
Offense needs to get it's shtein together. And kill the mildcat.
C'mon guys, the wildcat has been great at losing yards and killing any momentum that Reid couldn't take care of with his normal playcalling.
