CSN's replay is Sunday at 3
For some reason the Eagles are a 7.5-pt favorite
Why the farg is there a point spread on a preseason game?
theres a website that has a spread out now for every 2009 regular season nfl game

Because there are
addicts suckers who will bet on them...
Personally I put even money on the crowd throwing dog biscuits at Vick every away game...
What about home games?
CSNPHILLY.com reporting Westbrook is not playing tonight.

apparently McNabb and Vick will both be on the field for the first offensive play
they should both line up directly behind center. that'll confuse everyone. and look really hawt at the same time.

you sure? i just flipped over to it and they have nfl total access on and went to the game long enough to show mikell laying someone on the jags out on the goal line. then back to nfl total access.
The D has given up some big plays tonight, but they are playing with some serious attitude.
NFLN stopped the coverage. They were just switching from Total Access to the game. It was completely retarded while it lasted. Now it's just follie bullshtein.
The offense is playing like complete ass. Can't wait to see what happened with the McNabb fumble at the two.
Reid being Reid:
4-3-JAC 3 (:26) D.Akers 21 yard field goal is GOOD, Center-J.Dorenbos, Holder-S.Rocca.
3-3-JAC 3 (:30) D.McNabb pass incomplete short left to H.Baskett.
2-3-JAC 3 (:33) D.McNabb pass incomplete short left to D.Jackson.
1-3-JAC 3 (:36) (Shotgun) D.McNabb pass incomplete short middle to B.Celek (S.Considine).

They didn't really have a choice there was less than a minute left and there were out of timeouts. As far as the McNabb fumble, it was more on McCoy. He ran a bad route and it made it a lateral.
The offense isn't playing too bad, they are just missing on quite a few plays. Avant is playing like a madman. Baskett actually probably should have caught that pass in the endzone, though it was borderline PI. It was a pretty nice fade play. Maclin is having a nice game as well.
Samuel is the star of the defense by far, he is actually hitting tonight.
its alittle thing called strategy. reid is a master of it
so i missed the first half, except for basket dropping a perfectly thrown td. did vick get any action yet? details people, details!

Vick was in on the second play, ran and looked a little timid. He threw a laser to Baskett later for a nice gain.
wonder if he'll be at qb the 2nd half or will it be kolb? fargin white boy aint no fun to watch
Kolb is injured....right?

Hiiiiiiiiigh much?
This just in; Kolb sucks.
Please don't tell me that you are going to blame that safety on him?
I honestly didn't get a good look at the safety, so no. But he does suck.
is it just me, or is Jeremy Maclin really, really soft?
Like Andrews' brain.
thanks to Jacksonville's 3rd stringers sucking ass, the Eagles won 33-32
who got hurt? ESPN News just cut in with the andy press conference, and he was talking about surgery. I'm guessing Abiamiri since he's hurt and requires surgery twice a year
Herremans has a stress fracture and will miss several games
farg you ed
Good games for Maclin, Avant, Cole, Peters, Hobbs, Samuel. I guess McCoy although he didn't do much besides the TD. Also gotta give Kolb credit for bouncing back and leading the charge.
Bad games: Eckel, Baskett, McNabb, Justice, Hanson.
Vick: what you expected. Looked good in a small serving.
i love you both the same...thanks.
And Kolb farging sucks, he has zero arm strength, and less than 0 pocket presence.

I don't think so, he certainly is more of a finesse player though. Hugh was saying that he thought Maclin was scared after his hit in the redzone. I didn't see it. I thought he looked pretty solid.
Overall I thought minus a few freaky plays this wasn't a bad overall performance. There are clearly things they need to work on, but they definitely looked a lot better.
As far as the Kolb stuff you guys are way too hard on him, he is not that bad. Not that he was worth a second round pick but he is not nearly as awful as some say. You don't make that throw that he did to Brown if you don't have some skill.
Speaking of Brown, how far has he dropped down the depth chart? Is it down to him, Baskett, and Avant fighting it out for the fifth spot now?
I don't think Maclin is soft, but I have to say his calves are about as big as Pinkston's.

Avant is a stone cold lock to make this team. It comes down to Baskett, Brown, and Gibson. Out of that group two will probably make it, I really hope Gibson is one of them he just seems to be a player.

yea
How dried out and dead was that field?
Donovan said in the PC after the game that the constant switching between him and Vick screwed up the rhythm of the offense and he wasn't happy about it...
watching the replay on nfln right now as it approaches halftime:
reid/marty is in midseason form wasting timeouts early by not getting the play in on time/getting players in on time.
mcnabb not so accurate but 10 years in, we should be used to that by now. he made some great throws though, but missed a few easy ones to open receivers. he's looked great moving around and avoiding the rush though. definitely the best he's looked in probably 3 or 4 years in terms of mobility.
not sure who is to blame on the fumble return for a td. mccoy ran a bad route, going too far back but still should have caught it. stupid play call by reid that close to the goal line.
eckel's fumble was all on him but when is reid going to stop designing pass plays that involve a fb?
front 4 was getting decent pressure even against the jags 1st team.
samuel's been all over the field. 1 pick, 1 forced fumble/bone crushing hit, close to 2 other picks and a pass defenced.
vick looked ok. didn't suck, didn't do anything spectacular either. looked a little timid running but seemed calm in the pocket. his pass to baskett was pretty nice.
That swing pass was on McNabb and Reid. Stupid play call and not in stride at all. From that angle it is really hard to catch.
considine makes a good play and knocks the ball away from celek in the endzone and hugh says "when i was with the eagles, i never saw him make a play that good."
lolz

it's a combo of all 3 really. bad play call by reid, bad throw by mcnabb, bad route by mccoy. but for mccoy, he needs to learn (and he will) that he atleast needs to take that route towards the los so that a drop isn't a live ball.
btw, i don't know who this kevin reilly dude is that's the lead commentator but dook sucks something awful and keeps saying "we" when talking about the eagles. i get it if hugh or herm says it. they're both former eagles. but everytime reilly says it he reminds me of munson.
Did you hear Herm mumbling stuff throughout the game too? It was weird. I didn't know if he was trying to get it on air or not.
around the 2:00 warning, Reilly says "Eagles 30, Jaguars 32". That ish is like nails on a chalkboard to me...

yeah, he's been doing it all game. he's cracking me up though because almost every time someone from the eagles gets the ball with a little room to run you can hear herm saying "touchdown" and then the player gets tackled no where near the endzone.
the whole announcing team sucks. not because i don't like any of them. herm and hugh are definitely knowledgeble enough about the game but they all sound like they just found out 10 min before kickoff that they would be calling the game.
didn't know that greg freaking lloyd was interning as a coach with the eagles either. that dude was a freaking beast and the eagles may want to consider signing him.
Hugh also said, and I quote, "I know people really like Lorenzo Booker..."
Oh really, Hugh? Other than his family, who exactly like Lorenzo Booker?!?

AVant doesn't have to fight for anything, he's a lock.
They have to figure out how to get Brandon Gibson on the team. Other than two stupid pre-snap penalties; he made a good catch and a great catch.

I really wanted to mute it and probably should have. How many times did Hugh say "they really found something over there" when Jacksonville would get pressure on McNabb. He was referring to Peters; I thought it was hilarious because every time they would show the replay it was someone else getting beat.
One play it was pressure up the middle, another it was Shady failing to pick up the blitz. Speaking of he has a long way to go in that aspect of his game.
How many times did they all get players name wrong, either the Gary Thorne mis pronounciation, or the total wrong player. They wont be winning an Emmy this year

If only there was a single player on defense like him.
the replay is on comcast right now and it can't be stressed how bad the announce team, led by Kevin Reiley. this guy is normally a douchebag anyway on the WYSP post-game show with the "we" shtein, but he takes it to a new level attempting to do play by play. one great moment is during the Jacksonville return for touchdown on the lateral (the Donovan bad pass) and he starts chastising saying "That's again that we've been caught not picking up balls on the ground." The ball bounced off of McCoy's helmet, off the ground and right to the Jacksonville guy. Who the farg was supposed to jump on that ball? It's just incomprehensible how bad he is.

Definitely! Rome, that is one of my all time favorite Eagles moments, JB flipping off washington fans after Randall's amazing comeback in 1989. The look on the fans' faces was priceless. Coincidentally, I was just in his home town Brooksville working last week.
