Haven't seen any details on which games are on it. Ideas?
1947, 1948 and 1960 Championship games?
1980 NFC Championship vs Dallas?
House of Pain?
Body Bag?
Bounty Bowl?
2008 vs Bengals was thrilling
1. at giants 78
2. detroit 95
3. dallas 80
4. atlanta 85
5. atlanta 05
6. houston 91
7. taterskins 90
8. green bay 04
9 & 10. im not sure if they have the full 60 championship game on film or if they include losses like new england sb or tampa last game at the vet...if they do these games could fill the last two spots
if not games like the bounty bowl at dallas 91 dallas 95 might be in there
How about Dallas 95 (they stop him again) or at Dallas 96 (Willis/Vincent)
4th and 1 x two is probably one...i forgot about that
likewise for the interception return as well that one doesnt really resonate with me tho
the question is do they include losses or not
I'd for sure put Dallas '08 in there. Washington '89 is also an all time favorite.
i forget what year it was, but what about the game vs the giants when bednarik killed gifford?

they probably dont have the entire game
i think nfl films was the only ones filming that, so they would have to piece together all the film which they probably never did
the year after super bowl I was the year the networks started saving things they aired, so even if nbc or whatever aired the eagles/giants game that tape is long gone

miracle @ meadowlands
80 nfc champ
89 eagles 42/skins 37
body bag
95 eagles/lions playoff
01 eagles 10/giants 9
4th & 26
05 nfc champ win
05 eagles 27 vikes 14
06 eagles 38 cowboys 24
insider info?
somehow i totally fogot about the 4/26 game. i think that play overshadows the fact that it was a very tight game that went to ot.

Ha! My daughter was born just before this game. I missed the first half but watched the 2nd in the hospital, as it was luckily a late afternoon, nationally-televised game. You all care.
Lito shut T.O. the farg down in that game. It was beautiful.
kinda surprised the 2004 divisional vs Minnesota is on there. Other than that LJ/FredEx TD, I don't remember much else from it...
so murps list is the official johnson

yeah, that game was pretty bland for the most part. the only other notable performance was probably derrick burgess harrassing the hell out of vick all game.
of course, i think the game itself is probably a blurred memory for most because everything about the game itself became irrelevant once the clock hit 00:00.
yeah, that was awesome the way that burgess harrassed vick against the vikings in the 2004 divisional game
yeah, i really don't know what i was thinking there. i'd like to say i just woke up or that i'm drunk or something but neither is the case. just a massive brain fart i suppose.
rather than editing, i will leave it for everyone else to enjoy and laugh at as well.
that's why we love you.
i thought it was my silky smooth skin and perfectly toned buttocks.
How does the House of Pain game get left off the list?
how do we know it did
I've already seen the collection I'm just not telling any of you buttholes which games are on it.
don't you know what Murp does for a living?
yes, he rapes babies. what does that have to do with any of this?

sure wish Chuck had taken out Kathie Lee followed by Kelli Ripa.
Jets 1993 -down 21 at half and Eric Allen with a 375 yard int return.
Browns 1991- down 23 points and got thrown out of the bar I was watching it at(maybe top 10 bar extractions)
MURP, what's the audio on these games? Is it the original broadcast and/or Merrill?
i still cant believe that awful 10-9 giants game is going to be on there...they got dominated for 58 minutes...it was a horrible game to watch for 58 minutes...who would actually sit thru that again...i could maybe understand it if it were a playoff game...but it was a meaningless sept or oct (cant remember) regular season game
just a terrible decision
I, for one, am ready to get all fired up about this.

i think heading into that game, the giants had beaten the eagles like 8 or 9 consecutive times, no? i'm not saying it was a great game overall but it was a pretty significant win for an upstart team like the eagles at the time and knocking off the defending nfc champs. not to mention that the defense played it's arse off that game. so maybe that's the logic behind it all.

if that was their logic then it was horrible thinking...the eagles won 11 games the year before and won a playoff game...they certainly werent upstarts
yes they had lost a bunch to the giants but most of that was because they sucked in the late 90's
and was the defense great that game...i seem to remember some goal line stands but didnt the giants move up and down the field quite a bit...we arent talking about the house of pain game
i dont see a single good reason that game makes their top 10 ALL TIME games...does it even make the top ten of the 2000's?...its not even the best giant game...the westbrook return is easily a better finish
not one the 10 greatest games of all time
not even the top 100
the game to win the division at home when they stopped the trick play at the goal line was a far better Eagle/Giant game
i suspect by including it the front office is trying to somehow create the sense that mcnabb was a john elway type clutch player since its his best (and one of his only) game winning td drives
this is an NFL Films jawn. Spadaro said the Eagles had no input on it
you believe that?
im not even saying im right about why the game is on there but there isnt a chance that the eagles didnt have some sort of input
If Lurie produced it, everything would have been from 1995 to now...
I'm guessing NFL Films asked them if the list was OK and they said yeah. I'm sure Jerry would've had issues if they tried to include the Bounty Bowl though...

overall, i agree that it's not one of the 10 greatest games in eagles history. but i disagree with the semantics. the eagles were upstarts....coming off one good year and a wildcard win.....which ended with a loss to the giants in the divisional round. 1 good year = upstarts. also, the giants didn't exactly walk up and down the field in that game. they only had 238 yards of total offense.
if you love defensive oriented games, this was exactly that.
so even though the game may not have been full of glamour, without that win the eagles season probably doesn't end with the 1st of 4 straight nfcc games. it was a very significant game for the most successful stretch of football in franchise history.
Those motherfargers.

theres no way youve written that many words and been more wrong in your entire life....well you probably have but that was very impressive
and there's no way you've been so wrong with so few words. so i guess we're even.
but if you don't think that was a signficant game for that team, and a pretty big stepping stone for them, then i don't know what to say.
So it was one of the ten greatest games in Eagles history?

that's the difference between you and me though......even when i don't like something or disagree with it, i like to try and get an understanding of it. you just brush it off as wrong because it's not what igy likes.....which is a hilarious perspective coming from a person like you because it's the exact same way this country used to feel/feels about black people, or anyone/thing else that was "different."

Two changes for the better IMHO. The Steelers comeback was more impressive than the Giants comeback, and who doesn't want to relive last year's Cowboys romp?
The 2006 and 2008 Cowboys games are out of chronological order on the box. I wonder if that's a packaging fargup or a symptom of the 2008 game being slapped in place of the Minnesota game last-second.
I don't give a shtein as long as they're both on there...
08 dallas is probably my all time favorite (followed by RFK '89)
thank god that giant game is off but i think dallas last year is not needed...it was just to get in the playoffs...maybe include it had they won the superbowl or had they beat dallas in a close tense last second win in some sort of amazing game...
pittsburgh game was so good...i had actually completely forgot about that game...still probably could have found a better choice but i cant really argue against it to hard

True.
- I don't know if I've ever been more satisfied with a reg. season game than Dallas last year. Complete and utter domination and a wonderful way to send Dallas into the offseason. Also turned out to be Dawk's last reg season game.
- RFK '89 was the game that brought about my man crush on Randall. He was amazing that day (2nd half, anyway). Won me $1 from my brother too.
Those two along with the House of Pain game are right up there at the top for me.

IGY, the fact that it was to get into the playoffs made it even more necessary. A game that got them in against a division rival in a dominating fashion means it's gotta be there. IMO, the only thing going against it is that it's so recent.
it was a great game dont get me wrong...i just dont think it belongs ten best ever...i also think its being overrated because it just happened...i dont see it carrying huge historical impact and ten years from now it wont mean a whole lot...i think you can make an argument for it being on because there isnt really much competition as the eagles dont have a great history...i mean it belongs on there 1 million more times than that ridiculous giant game

how do you manage to say something so wrong and then immediately follow it up with something so right that basically contradicts the former? this is why i love me some igy.
Is there any way we can force the NFL season to last 12 months? I can't handle these inane conversations about a video tribute to 10 arbitrary historical football games.

me thinking it shouldnt be on there doesnt preclude someone from making an argument that it should be there...no contridicition whatsoever
I take it back. Semantic discussions about the arguments for/against the validity of one past regular season game versus another for inclusion in an arbitrary collection of past Eagles games make me hard.
Now yer lernin...
i was at that pittsburgh game, it was so good
I can't believe that was almost 9 years ago....I was watching it at a sports bar on Ft. Hood and it was loaded with Steelers fans. There was about 6 of us wearing green and we almost incited a riot. One Pennslytuckian was in there with his black and gold on and no shoes.
I remember Hauck recovering both OSK's and going batshtein crazy.
yea that game was insane. kenny albert was on the call. there you go.
