No doubt it's rebuilding time. So use them...List 10 keepers .....and lose them.... list 10 players that need to go.
10 keepers:
Cole
DeSean
Samuel
Patterson

10 losers:
Tra Thomas
Herremans
Gocong
Jamaal Jackson
Quintin Mikell
Reggie Brown
LJ Smith
Considine

McNabb
I haven't decided on Gaither and Bradley yet. Also Bunkley has really disappointed the last handful of games. I could add more players, but you wanted 10 so you got 10.
Keep:
Brian Westbrook
Desean Jackson
Trent Cole
Asante Samuel
Sheldon Brown
Donovan McNabb
Shawn Andrews
Mike Patterson
Broderick Bunkley
Stewie Bradley (hey, he's young and has some upside)
Lose:
Dawk (sorry man...thanks for the memories)
LJ
Greg Lewis
Jon Dorenbos (unless he can magically turn this heap or crap into something decent)
Lito
Anyone with (FB) after their name
Winston Justice
Sean Considine
Lorenzo Booker

L.J. Smith
Chris Gocong
Sean Considine
Greg Lewis
Lorenzo Booker
Dan Klecko
Matt Schobel
Brian Dawkins
Lito Sheppard
Notes:
- It doesn't matter who you keep and cut if you don't get rid of Andy Reid.
- Donovan and Westbrook were left off both lists on purpose. Donovan could be good for another year or two with a different coach, especially in the absence of a better option at QB. Westbrook has been banged up this year, but I am starting to wonder if he's just permanently lost a step. RB's don't last very long.
Who cares?

Who cares?
I wouldn't care if PSU was title game bound, but since they are *only* going to the Rose Bowl, I'm just too depressed to think about anything but how to improve my favorite football teams.
P.S. Go Phillies.
The best part of the Eagles playing on Thursday is I won't have to go to a sports bar on Sunday. I'll be running errands instead. FTW, incidentally.
PS: My college football team is going to get utterly humiliated on Saturday. I'm hoping for the best, though. You know, like a repeat of yesterday's outcome or something.
Use 'Em
DeSean Jackson
Brian Westbrook
Donovan McNabb - If Andy does not come back with him. If so... might as well lose him.

Lorenzo Booker
Dan Klecko

DeSean Jackson
Quentin Demps

Reggie Brown

If we're a rebuildin', trade anything with value for draft picks (hence Westbrook and Asante on the LOSE list). Fire Reid (preferably with Napalm), along with the entire coaching staff and front office. Start from scratch.
Use:
Sheldon
Desean
Rocca
Lose:
Everyone else. They're either aging, can't stay on the field, or show no improvement. If Asante didn't leave so many picks on the field, he'd be on the use list. Potential is great when reached, but is as useless as an 80 year old wang when it isn't.
bump except this goes for the entire team no limits...just state who needs to go and what we need in replacement
Players:
Greg Lewis
Dan Klecko
Sav Rocca
Every linebacker on the team
Lito Shepard
Hank Baskett
Reggie Brown
LJ Smith
Kyle Eckel
Lorenzo Booker
Sean Considine
Coaches:
Andy
Marty
Jim Johnson
Its rebuilding time. This team snuck into the playoffs off a 100/1 chance and somehow made it to where they got. They need a whole new offense WITH A COMMITMENT TO THE RUN. McNabb has a few years left...lets build a team that runs first and then give McNabb the ball and at least one legit threat a WR. Get a 3rd back...and if this means moving Buck to 3 and getting a number 2 back that can compete. Westbrook is not durable enough to handle the load all season we need a backup back who can split carries. Line Westbrook at WR more. The defense much like the offense is predictable and the Cardinals exposed it yesterday. Methodically countering the blitz's we were throwing at them. We need to take the linebacker position serious. We need a legit fat ass run stuffer at DT. OVER 320LBS please! The defense really was great all year, except for yesterday. I don't know what to think about JJ's defense, sometimes they look great then sometimes it's bad. I don't know if real linebackers would help, but something needs to happen here as well.
do we have a free agency thread?
Rebuilding time?
Negative ghostrider.
They are relatively young. Rebuilding is when you have an older team and you blow it up and start over.
Fire Reid, hire Shanahan and see if he can do for McNabb what he did for Elway. Let McNabb manage a game at this point as he is clearly not the guy to go win it for you.

Focus his offensive line on run blocking? Holy shtein, that might actually work.

no McNabb needs help managing and calling audibles. I might of saw him once or twice switch the play yesterday thats it....and see way too many good qbs in the league adjust at the line of scrimmage when they see a cheating corner/LB coming in
if you see that, you call a quick slant on the corner or a 5 and in--sound familiar yesterday? Problem is McNabb thinks he can always adjust on the fly, mid-play, like its 2002 and make something happen out of nothing-- hence his reason for not calling enough audibles
Perfect example I saw yesterday when it was 3rd and 6 and A. Wilson came up in the box about to blitz leaving one-on-one coverage on the outside--a perfect opportunity to throw deep, but instead waited for the receivers to run their routes, by that time Wilson was already in on the sack. How can you not see a safety sneaking up and adjust? shtein frustrates the hell out of me.
This team needs some more depth and help on the OL, one more game-changer on offense (yes, could even be a RB), and 1-2 studs in the defensive front seven.
Gotta keep McNabb, no doubt. New coaching might help, but only in a similar offensive scheme. Don't tear it all up, but add a few more pieces.
In about 2012, it will be tear up time.
the players we have now don't work in this offensive scheme
All of them?
Offensively, we need 2 tackles. Runyan and Thomas were studs but the operable word is were. The draft won't cut it. We need guys ready to move in. I am not sold on Andrews moving out to tackle, he is way too good at RG. The run game suffered all year due to his injury. No offense to Cole and Big Max but Andrews is a road grader. Defensively, it's hard to argue with the overall results. Lito has to leave and we need a way to hold on to Joselio Hansen. My hope is that Demps is the new starter for Dawkins in the waiting. Only time will tell. How many thought Mikell would turn out to be what he is? A big time DE would be nice and should be the biggest grab in the off-season. Get Peppers! I look at it like the way the Moss thing was treated make a real strong play for an all-world level guy, but don't waste money on second best. Abiramiri has shown he can play if healthy.
theres no such thing as rebuilding in todays nfl...1-15 one year can lead to winning your division the next...the eagles dont need to rebuild they need to get over the hump of the nfc championship...start by getting a new coach

You mean outside of both our starting OTs, FS, RB, QB? Our best interior lineman is farging headcase with a bad back? And the entire coaching staff should be doused in napalm and set ablaze? That sounds like rebuilding to me.

This sounds all well and good, but it's kind of hard to do when they get up to the line with :04 seconds on the play clock.
