Seriously, there have been some terrbile farging games on where I am at (Fredericksburg, VA). It's not so much the NFL's fault, but christ. I've had to watch, last week I had Skins vs. Rams, and Colts vs Ravens, and the week before it was even worse....I think it was Cincy (led by Fitzpatrick) against the Browns or something. Real snoozers.

Larry Johnson was suspended for Sunday too. I would kill this farger if I could, he's seriously screwed me on my Fantasy teams two years running.

with an eagles bye week...and a week off before the world series, i think i am stuck with doing gay fall stuff both around the house and out in lancaster county...etc...

small price to pay i suppose.

The Pittsburgh area inexplicably gets Detroit @ Houston.

Rams @ Skins turned out to be a fantastic game.

From Bill Simmons' article;

QuotePANTHERS (-3) over Saints
We're officially in "Take the home team in every NFC South matchup" mode. Anyway, I accidentally deleted the e-mail, but one of my readers had a spectacular idea for any Saints road game -- what if the home team handed out "faces on a stick" like the kind that the "PTI" guys use, only the face on the stick belonged to Ray J, the guy who made the sex tape with Kim Kardashian (Reggie Bush's fiancée)? How could that NOT mess with Reggie's head? You know that tape just kills him and continues to kill him. Why? BECAUSE HIS FIANCEE MADE A SEX TAPE WITH ANOTHER GUY!! Or what if the home team went a step further and hired Ray J to actually sing the national anthem before the game? These are the ideas we need to spice up the NFC South.

That's some funny shtein.

I love how SportsCenter analyzes how Brad Johnson is going to perform, the impact of Roy Williams and how T.O. will deal with sharing the ball... with Emmit Smith.

Unbalanced journalism at it's finest...  :boo

God, I want to work there...  :'(

And Emmitt Smith is a straight up butcher of the english language.

I'm watching the NFL-N pre-game show...much better.

The Jets lined up to kick a tying field goal, kicked the ball and missed.  Small thing - the Raiders called time out before the kick.

Jets lined up again and their kicker drilled it down the pipe.

Raiduhhhhhhhhhhhhs!

:-D

no on espn right now is a primetime type show with tj dilfer and the canuck

they are showing highlites of all the games...i thought if i remember correctly that they werent allowed to do this because in nbc's sunday night contract they had exclusive rights to all game highlites until sometime late sunday night

They never had exclusive highlight rights. I think you just can't have a show dedicated to extensive highlights, like NFL Primetime was. Now they mix the new show in with Sportscenter and it is allowed. Because the last 2 years they still showed highlights on Sportscenter. I think it is something like extensive highlights exclusive only.

this isnt sportcenter...this is "primetime" just with dilfer and the canuck

I googled it and PFT.com says it is it is extensive highlights only for exclusive. I remembered reading that somewhere. Not sure how you define "extensive" but whatever.

after watching the last couple games theyve done it does seem like theres less highlites and more talk than primetime was...but still theres a lot of highlites...

seems ridiculous...either let them show highlites or dont
