I'm already going nuts flipping back and forth between the Eagles and Phillies. I missed Rollins HR.
Oh yeah and Jackson is fast.
Jackson is fast as hell.
Offense=100% more effective with Westbrook
Westbrook to the locker room
Greg Lewis kills a drive and shows why he shouldn't be on the team.
Akers still sucks.
Shocking miss. SHOCKING I SAY.

Sav Rocca is the MVP of the team so far this year.
Rocca - Team MVP
Sav Rocca for MVP.
That was gay, guys.
the best run defense in the league isn't looking like it right now.
They're letting the Skins back into this game. Time to step it up.
We paid how much for 22?
farg the birds! Phils up 5-0!!
That was a pick if he didn't slip on the cut.
We're so used to hearing Eagles chants at the Phillies games, pretty strange to see the crowd get loud at an Eagles game for the Phillies.
holy shtein, watching this thing on game track makes this drive even more painful. 13 plays so far!
update?
The team has just sputtered since the first drive......now a bad second down run
followed by a bad third down play and now a punt
Horrible series by the Eagles. They are letting the Skins back into the game.
Bullshtein spot leads to a Skins first down.
Umpire covered with blood.
so QB, should I head down to the sports bar down the street to watch this shtein or stay home and stress out over the phils?
Probability of choking seems to be higher in this game than the Phils game.
Suisham hits the same field goal Akers missed.
Have they been this bad the whole game? Just got back in time for the last Eagles "drive."
Suisham has made more 40+ yard field goals in the first half today than Akers did all of last year.
This team just can't keep it all together for more than ten minutes at a time. So frustrating to watch.

They were completely dominant in the first offensive and first defensive series. Since then the defense has been giving up tons of yards (but no TDs) and the offense has been anemic.
how's fatty's gameplan? same old shtein?
The Skins could walk out of this game with a win just on field goals, even if they have to go on 12 minute drives for them.

That is spot on.
ARs gameplan thus far hasn't been that bad.
Perhaps Greggie can carry Akers bags on their trip out of town.
Three and out. Another drive killed by Greg Lewis. The offense looks horrible.
Greggie drops an easy one, so McNabb follows it up by trying to get Avant killed. Awesome drive.
Maybe the defense is waking up. Maybe.
Nope, false alarm.
Jim Johnson's gameplan is focused on stopping Santana Moss. Well, they're stopping Moss, but the rest of the team is raping them.
And that'll be the game winner there. Hello 3-3!

Short of a miracle, this game is lost. Both sides look completely flat, and I blame the coaching staff completely.
anyone want to still tell me the gocong hate is silly?
Where has Jackson been on offense?
skins have 282 total yards? oh geez.
7 yards on first down, two more passes. Jesus Christ, this coaching staff all needs to go.
This team has forgotten how to block, on special teams and offense. There were 3 guys in front of Westbrook on that 3rd down play, and yet two taterskins jerseys broke through. Learn how to block, iceholes.
The running game misses Andrews bigtime.
So awesome to see the Skins don't have to throw another pass to put this game away. And why bother throwing if Randel El is going to drop them all?

Has McNabb tucked the ball and run once this season? Reid has completed his project to turn him into a complete robot who will not do anything unless Reid tells him to.

my love for the Phillies is much greater than my hatred for the birds.
I am mighty impressed by Zorn. He made the correct calls all game long. I think they showed that they had a perfect balance of running and passing and outside of the first 2-3 offensive possessions, the taterskins picked up the blitz really well. Portis showed what happens when a team commits to running the ball against bullets.

Some of the play calling on those 4 straight 3 and outs was terrible.
The other part that really stood out today was the blocking. It was terrible all game. Westbrook had no where to run...and the blocking on kickoffs was TERRIBLE. There were 4 or 5 red jersey's waiting for Demps at the 18 on every return.

i would agree cept for the calls on 1st and 15 and then 2nd and 15 end the 2nd qrt. and the lack of any urgency all throughout the third qrt. it was as if they believed the game was already over while the taterskins kept inching closer and closer.
and i still blame him for once again calling a completely unbalanced running game. last week Dallas showed what happens when you do not run. this week the Eagles showed the same exact thing. did Buck have only 2 carries? Booker on a fly pattern on a third down? another screen play to Westbrook on 3rd and 1? and not even a traditional screen but a pass 3 yds behind the line of scrimmage.
of course the WRs dropped balls. they are bad to mediocre. they come up big some times. but mostly they drop balls. very inconsistent and dont have it in them to make a big play. think about it. the only big play in the passing game was the one where the taterskins forgot to touch Brown.
no sense of urgency whatsoever. even on that drive in the 4rth qrt they wasted 7 min to what amounted to only 3 pts. where was the urgency to get up after every play and snap the ball quickly. already had wasted 1 timeout on that terrible challenge so you know its going to come down to time management. Reid might not have directly lost the game but his fingerprints were once again all over it.

I guess this team is not who we though they were. No matter what happens this team will not be in contention until at least week 12. See y'all then.
you know the defense played well enough....this offense only seems to show life in the first qrt. pretty much every game ( i dont count the rams cause they are not a professional team) the eagles come out and perform well on offense. put up some points. whatever new wrinkle they introduce works.
then comes the 2nd qrt. the other teams adjust. leads to less TDs and more FGs and even more missed FGs. offense still acts like they can sleep walk through the game.
did desean even have one pass caught? i know they used him on some reverses but not one deep ball or passes even in his direction.

I guess this team is not who we though they were. No matter what happens this team will not be in contention until at least week 12. See y'all then.
not with the skins, cowboys, and giants all playing as well as they are.

Sean Taylor is still DEAD :-D
You're awesome at UBB tags.
There was one thing I did like from this game, and that was the return of the Pinkston screen. They used it once with the idiot today, and it worked, then they completely forgot about it.

He dropped one later, I think, which obviously proved to Andy that rookies can't play in his system.

He caught a pass on the last play before the Westbrook TD. I think he was only targeted one time after that.

But yeah, I think I'll be at my desk with the tv on behind me instead of planning my Sundays around enjoying the game.
The worst part about this team is the fact that once they down... even if it's by 2 points, you know the game is over. I have no faith in this team to mount a comeback, even if it's early in the second half.
Additionally, instead of drafting Felix Jones, we picked up Carolina's pick, which looks like it might be in the 24-28 area. Woo!

Not just down by two, but up by less than a touchdown. You can't even expect them to hold on to a slim lead at this point.

sun was just telling me this was a top 5 all time worst coached andy reid game......i dont know about that but the fg decision was maybe the worst call of his entire coaching tenure and that saying something
The challenge and the idea to take a timeout with 45 seconds left in the first half were both worse in that game alone.
Andy will just keep on hammering on those square pegs until he's right.

Just wait until next week, when he sends him out there for a 55 yarder.
Seriously though, Rocca is having a great year and Andy keeps giving opposing offenses great field position by sending Akers out there to miss. This is a sign of true brilliance.
I'm drunk/. Relly drunk.
These guys have to win next week if they want home field advantage in the playoffs
About the goal line screw up. There are a bunch of different things coming out about that now. Eskin said on WIP earlier that Reid is pissed at McNabb for calling the audible. Then Derrick Gunn said after the game that McNabb called the audible, because the TE lined up on the wrong side.
Either way, it goes back to the coach. Just a major screw up.
They're cooked. They have 0.000001% chance of even making the playoffs.
farg me. I knew they were even to slightly below 500 going in, and let the Dallas and Pitt games convince me otherwise. Now I want to go on a Novacare killing spree, starting with Rich Kotite....uh, Andy Reid.

For them to farg that up was UNREAL. I mean, I didn't expect them to get the touchdown, but the first down was 1/2 yard away!
And not to mention the waste of a drive at the end of the half, which helped the Skins get 3 points
And the idiot challenge this week to make up for the 2 he should've called last week against the Bears
And McNabb's inexplicable 1 yd pass out in the flat to a well-covered Westbrook on a 3rd and 3 when they already picked up seven yards on the first down
And trying to force us to believe that #86 is our #1 receiver (I refuse to put a name to the bitches on this team)
And trotting #2 out there to hit that FG when we could've pinned them inside their 10 with a Rocca punt
Sometimes I wonder if that fat farger gets paid to farg up games, because I swear to God no one can be that stupid.
Like I said before, I just wish someone in the Eagles organization would go to the media and start calling fat AR and his stupid ass playcalling out. Disrupt this awesome team unity or something... It's high time for a profile player to just say farg it, and start blastin shtein in the media about the dumb ass playcalling, the piss-poor clock management, the heart of some of the players on this team, and the lackadaisical attitude to win and dominate games. Ill never understand for the life of me why when The Eagles get 7 or 8 yds on first down, Andy Reid feels the need to farging pass on 2nd down...every single time (unless they are on the 1 yd line)..and in the SHOTGUN no less.
Why the farg would he do that knowing damn well if he misses a pass on 2nd and 3 or 2nd and 2, that it puts the defense in better position to stop the pass on 3rd down??
One of these days, when he is retired and sitting on his couch watching tv eating Doritos and smoking crack with his son, he will watch a real offensive team make a 2 yd run on second down and convert. He still after all these yrs doesnt quite understand the name of the game is field position and to keep the chains moving.....Jesus farging christ.

Thanks for the great read, guys. It was even better than reading the game and postgame threads over at thehogs.net, which is the real 'Skins board, by the way. I think the only thing we can possibly agree on is the ridiculous degree of idiocy manifested on extremeskins.
It's really nice to see the Eagles struggle through yet another dead-end season with an anencephalic coach, no playmakers aside from 36, a predictable defense, and a QB with failing skills and even less heart.
I haven't been here since Sean Taylor's slaying, when the initial reaction was so amazingly over-the-top. The level of inhumanity expressed was nearly incomprehensible; it's even more astounding to see the same level of base hatred being spewed 11 months later. I had no idea it sucked that much to be an Eagles fan that individuals are forced to wallow in the true misfortune of others in order to feel better about themselves.
I guess that's why so many of you are mired, year after year, in mindless pursuits the prosecution of which requires even less brainpower than can be brought to bear by your meager intellects. Again, I had no idea that it sucked so much to be an Eagles fan. Your team will never win a Super Bowl, and no other fan around the league feels one whit of compassion about that. Please don't bother to respond; I'll probably only check in at season's end (if I remember) just to see how many of you remain to bask in breathtaking futility.
farg you, farg your fat mother and i hope you die bitch

And another punk shows up after the game. Balless bitch.
I appreciate irony as much as anyone here but the thought of a taterskins fan showing up here attempting to rub our noses in the fact that the Eagles haven't won a championship in many years is almost too much for me to take.
I wonder if he realizes it's been almost two decades since the taterskins won a Super Bowl?
Nah - probably not, especially considering he's probably only been a fan since the Cowboys last won a Super Bowl.
sean taylor is dead....farg washington go phillires!!

:-D Phreak is farged up
The thing that keeps going through my head is Lurie's preseason comments. Talking about it was "pedal to the metal" and that "they were a championship caliber team". If he meant one word of that, Reid would be out on the first thing smoking by the end of the week.
Unfortunately, is that all he gives a rats ass about is the dollars, and the dumb yuppy "please sit down", wine and cheese tailgating iceholes will continue to buy tickets and Eagles shtein, and it'll be more of the same.
I can't bear to hear or read another Reid quote about putting zesty players in better positions, or that he doesn't have to answer a question if he can't respond to it with one of his canned farging answers. This entire team laid down today, made no adjustments, and seemed completely disinterested and carefree as the game slipped away. Until there are some real farging changes, I'm not going to waste my time.
A lot of people would say that isn't being a real fan, but I don't blame you one bit. Watching 16 3 hour+ games per season, not to mention the money you shell out on the team for tickets and merchandise is a big commitment. If you don't feel they are worthy, then you are absolutely entitled. Right now they aren't giving you anything worthy of your time.
Especially after all the shtein they fed the fans in the offseason about the offense being fine after doing next to nothing to address it.

From Brookover's article:
Quote"The distances are there," Akers said. "It would just be nice to hit them between [the goalposts] once in a while. I go out, try my best, and I'm coming up right apparently. Is it frustrating? Yeah. Do I feel like I'm letting my teammates down? Absolutely."
Since the start of the 2005 season, Akers has hit just 6 of 20 attempts from 45 yards or beyond. He also has missed nine straight from beyond that distance. His last field goal from beyond 45 yards was on opening day last season, when he hit a 47-yarder at Green Bay.
To make matters worse for Akers, he had to watch the second-quarter work of taterskins kicker Shaun Suisham, who connected on attempts of 41, 48 and 50 yards.
"Fifty-yarders are long kicks," Akers said. "But obviously, Shaun went out there and hit 48 and 50 as well today. That made the difference."
Akers said he is not worried about his teammates and coaches losing confidence in him.
"I can't control that," he said. "All I can control is going out there and doing what I do. I pulled the one a little bit today. I wish I had about three feet for three kicks, and that would be about the difference. But I don't, and I can't take it back. I let the guys and the organization down again."
Reid insisted he is still confident in Akers.
"David is going to make a lot more of those than he is going to miss," he said. "Down the stretch here, he'll be fine. Absolutely, I'm confident."
Apparently Andy doesn't know the stats if he thinks Akers is going to make more of those than he misses.
or he thinks hes getting younger
Andy probably thinks his kids will "just say no" more than not also.

QuoteEagles tell you they're good, but are they?
CourierPOstOnline.com • October 6, 2008
PHILADELPHIA — The two truest statements to come out of the Eagles locker room were these: "At some point, we have to stop saying we're a good team, and actually go out there and win," Omar Gaither said.
Then Reggie Brown was trying to explain what went wrong with the Eagles, a team that thinks it's good but keeps losing games it should win, and why they lost to the taterskins at home Sunday, when he finally threw up his hands and said: "I'm sorry. I wish I had answers for you guys. I just don't."
There are no answers now. This is what the Eagles are. They act like they're good, but they're sitting in last place in the NFC East. It was comical at one point, when Donovan McNabb kept insisting the Eagles were the better team, even though they. . . .you know. . . .lost the game.
"There is no way this team is better than us," McNabb said.
Uh, Donovan? They scored more points than you.
"It doesn't make a difference," McNabb said. "Does that mean they're better than us? I don't see it that way."
OK, then.
Eagles head coach Andy Reid was at a loss to explain this debacle, in which the taterskins rumbled for 203 yards against the league's best run defense and the Eagles offense completely disappeared after the first seven minutes. His answers were as clipped and terse as the players' answers were vague and searching.
Reid trotted out the usual standards: "We have to keep working," "I have to put them in the right position," and of course the biggie: "That's my responsibility."
This really is Reid's responsibility. It's not just the gameday coaching, which we can argue about for hours. It's the makeup of the roster. The Eagles just aren't that good, and they got this way on purpose.
The Eagles are weirdly less than the sum of their parts. Statistically, on paper, the Eagles look OK. But they don't win enough games. They're short in a lot of key places -- and not by accident. They've deliberately put themselves at a disadvantage almost everywhere you look.
It's hard to tell where things went wrong Sunday. The Eagles let Washington hang around, doing nothing for two solid quarters (49 total yards in the second and third quarters, just 16 plays run on five possessions). They put together a horrendous two-minute drill at the end of the first half. They can't cover the tight end to save their lives. They couldn't stop the run at all.
But let's look at the Eagles' only real drive of the second half, when they marched to the Washington 2-yard line with 9:08 left. On third and one, the Eagles came out of the huddle with a running play designed to go up the middle, with zone blocking, out of a formation with the tight end lined up right, and Dan Klecko lined up at fullback.
Klecko is not a fullback. He is a defensive tackle. But the Eagles don't have a true fullback, because they love doing goofy stuff like this. McNabb changed the play to a run to the left. On the play McNabb called, the proper formation is with the tight end to the left. So the veteran quarterback called a play that didn't really fit the way Eagles were lined up. And to top it off, once the ball was snapped, the defensive tackle who was playing fullback didn't know which way to go.
Klecko didn't block anybody, and Westbrook was tossed for a three-yard loss. Afterward, Reid said: "It was a miscommunication." McNabb echoed: "Miscommunication." And, well -- no. It was a bad plan, it was poorly executed, and it had the wrong personnel on the field.
That's the story of these 2-3 Eagles. They talk like they're good, but they're not. They've deliberately put themselves at a disadvantage with poor personnel decisions up and down the roster. They've got a bad plan, it's being poorly executed by players that aren't that good, and the Eagles keep losing games they should win.
Add it all up, and yes -- that really is the head coach's responsibility.
Reach Kevin Roberts at kroberts@courierpostonline.com
Don't forget that they have Gary Anderson at kicker, but they think he can still hit from long range.
eagles 18 total rushes....29 total passes.
taterskins had 44 rushes...30 passes.
this is a problem.
why the farg is akers still on this team
why is he still being asked to kick 50 yarders
because Andy thinks he still makes more of those than he misses
because Reid coaches on faith...and faith alone
faith that Akers will come out of his slump right then and there when called to do so
faith that McNabb will consistently throw for over 300 yds every game
faith that his receivers are bound to succeed because of his system
faith that Mormons make the best foot ball players
Reids faith farging blows.
Reid PR gems:
Some reporter asked this, which I thought was great: "You always say you need to put the players in better positions, after ten years, why is it so hard?"
Reid: "It's a challenge every week. That's what makes it so much fun"
Reporter: "You went in with Tony Hunt as your fullback, but for short yardarge he isn't in. Klecko got blown-up on that play near the endzone. Will you maybe bring in a true blocking fullback?"
Reid: Klecko got surpirsed by that guy, wasn't the guy he was supposed to block. We'll see what happens."
Reporter: Will close loses shake the team's confidence?
Reid: We have the leadership to avoid that.
Reporter: Akers has been bad for awhile, any thoughts of changing anything?
Reid: He's in a slump. He'll pull out of it, he'll be fine.
:boom
how much longer can this go on :'( :'( :'(
In the last calendar year, Pat Burrell has hit more post season home runs, than david akers has made 40+ FGs
lol
He's fine.
Oh, I forgot one of the other better quotes:
On the injuries: Andrews with the back....blah blah...*ahem* Westbrook has two busted ribs, we'll take it day to day there*clears throat*....blah blah......
You might as well have cracked his ribs with the pen he signed his contract with, there was no chance of that not happening.
Aikman was questioning the Eagles giving him the money on the telecast. That was fun.
yeah because they are only 19 million under the cap even after signing by far their best player

he got surprised (this was on DNL today w/runyan) bc LJ farging smith lined up on the wrong side, dmac had to audible to accommodate LJ, then when the play was snapped, LJ blocked the wrong guy (he blocked in) and the guy klecko blocked was supposed to be blocked by LJ and Tra didn't really block anyone (bc LJ farged up and took his guy)
the play was supposed to attack the weak d set up on the right, but since lj was on the left 5 switched it to that side, they said it still could have worked but lj farged up again on the blocking scheme.
one week its Schoebel, the next its LJ, the next will be Jackson....blah blah blah

The team needs a radical shakeup. Lurie isn't going to fire Reid, so it's time for Reid to step up to the plate and make some drastic changes with the way the Eagles prepare and play. I don't even care if many of the changes fall flat and make the team even worse... what I want to see is effort to change the way this team has been approaching games. They need a wakeup call.... they'e not "16 points away" like Reid said, and they're not playing good football.
What does he have to lose, another season like 2005 or last year? Go nuts. I liked seeing all the trickery on yesterday's first drive, and I liked seeing the pass/run mix too. Too bad the offense soon reverted to typical Reidism.
Our franchise TE farged up the play? Say it isn't so Andy!

Problem is the trickery doesn't seem to work much anymore. Flea flickers used to work. Now the result in McNabb getting planted or 12yd gains.
The double reverse should be used a lot. That and variations of it. DEs in the NFL are overaggressive and will not always hold that edge. Catch him crashing, and you have a huge gain. Get him holding the edge and it opens huge holes to run between LT and LG/ RT and RG.
But yeah. Lurie is not firing Reid. Like I've always said, the only way he fires Andy is if he catches him cavorting with Christina. And that's not happening.
Reid will have to resign or turn in three straight 6-10's to get axed.
Red needs to deviate from the script, I agree.
Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball. Run the ball.
after two weeks in a row of not being able to get one yard when they needed to and missing their best lineman might not be the time to call for more runs
If they stopped running behind Tra and Herremans and maybe tried going behind Runyan and Fatticus Prime, maybe they get a yard or two.
Maybe if they had a real fullback short yardage wouldn't be such a problem.
IGY you and I both know that gaining 1 yard on 4th and 1 when the defense is going balls to the wall to stop you is a much different situation then running the ball down methodically down the field. YOu know, actually running on first AND second down for a change.

During his appearance on Elliot In The Morning today, Chris Cooley discussed yesterday's egging of his team bus by Eagles fans in admiring tones:
"You know what, though, they're good shots," he said of the Philly fans. "They've been practicing. You could see them coming in; they were leading the bus. It was good egging." The taterskins Blog told a similar tale. Herewith, the taterskins discuss yesterday's performance from the Eagles fans and their love of eggs.
"Oh yeah, they just come raining down when you pull in there," Casey Rabach said. "You know, I don't know how many we got hit with, but it looked like a hailstorm."
"They were lighting it up," Devin Thomas said.
"I'm talking about whoop," Malcolm Kelly said.
"I'm talking about the middle of the bus, like, bammmm, like busted and everything," Kedric Golston said. "I ain't never been thrown eggs at. I mean, at Philly, they throw everything."
"My bus only got hit with one egg, but I had my headphones on listening to music, and it was like two windows back, and all you hear was thump," Mike Sellers said. "Everybody starts cracking up, it was like, 'Oh we got here, here it comes.'
"It must have been one of those big ones too, an ostrich egg," Golston said.
"It was crazy, though, because the egg was actually thrown in front of the bus," Kelly said. "It was like a quarterback almost; you throw it to where the receiver's gonna be at. I was very impressed."
"Very impressed," Thomas agreed. "If they ever had a replacement [team] in Philly, they'd have to get that dude for quarterback, because he hit that thing on point."
"You would think it would probably happen in Dallas or something," Sellers said, "[but] they're nicer fans than Philly fans."
"The only thing we ever had happen in college was they tried to rock our bus and stuff," Thomas said.
"Nah, that happened to us: OU-Texas game," Kelly said. "They were throwing nachos, drinks. Everything, everything you could name."
"We didn't get no eggs," Rock Cartwright said of his bus yesterday. "I just know we got flipped off. By everybody, kids and everything."
"You've got the six -year olds flipping you off, and the dad's patting them on the back," Rabach said.
"They give us the bird, we wave," Sellers said. "The universal greeting, I guess, for Philly."
"Grandma's mooning you," Jon Jansen said.
"Oh yeah, definitely," Rabach said.
"I've had some old ladies moon us, oh yeah," Jansen said.
"It's hard to tell from the backside, to tell you the truth," Rabach said.
"Oh, you can tell," Jansen said. "When it's an old lady, you can tell."
"Even all the fans after the game were flipping [us] off, and we had a couple guys that were gonna moon 'em," Cooley said on Elliot. "We were flipping 'em off back. Our windows are so tinted, I really don't think they can see us."
"That just makes 'em happy, that they can [tick] you off," Rabach said.
"All they're looking for is a rise out of you, a reaction," Jansen said.
"That's Philly," Rabach said.
"That's what makes it fun," Jansen said.

QuoteReporter: "You went in with Tony Hunt as your fullback, but for short yardarge he isn't in. Klecko got blown-up on that play near the endzone. Will you maybe bring in a true blocking fullback?"
Reid: Klecko got surpirsed by that guy, wasn't the guy he was supposed to block. We'll see what happens."
I don't know if I should laugh or cry, he got surprised!! :o did he not expect 11 guys with indians on their helmets to come after him. That should be the quote of the year holy ish man ???
he got surprised (this was on DNL today w/runyan) bc LJ farging smith lined up on the wrong side, dmac had to audible to accommodate LJ, then when the play was snapped, LJ blocked the wrong guy (he blocked in) and the guy klecko blocked was supposed to be blocked by LJ and Tra didn't really block anyone (bc LJ farged up and took his guy)
the play was supposed to attack the weak d set up on the right, but since lj was on the left 5 switched it to that side, they said it still could have worked but lj farged up again on the blocking scheme.
something seemed wrong from the start. at first it seemed like the playclock was down to 3 (at least the one FOX was showing on their graphics) and I thought I saw McNabb call a timeout. Aikman or Buck said as much but then they said "the clock has been reset" and the eagles seemed all sorts of confused. they should have just burned a timeout there and set up a proper play. settling for a FG should not have been a option.
anothing thing that really bothered me...on that drive when they got the ball after every play they wasted close to 40-50 seconds off the clock lining up and snapping the ball. when you are down by 2 scores and know your defense is having trouble stopping the opponents ground game and its the 4rth qrt there is no excuse for not running a hurry up offense. that drive took about 7 min off the clock. 3 too many.
lj smith = blockhead
still.

Think about this, at a minimum this offseason they're going to need a new FS, 2 or 3 new players on the O line, a TE, a LDE, a FB, and a new kicker. And that's at a minimum. I'm not even getting in the WR discussion because we all know they're thrilled with the crap they've been putting out there. My only hope is Curtis can contribute right away.
QuotePhiladelphia Eagles rookies DeSean Jackson and Quintin Demps each were fined $10,000 for posing after Jackson scored on a punt return in the Eagles' 23-17 loss to the taterskins last weekend.
No flag was thrown at the time in the game.
Both players told the Delaware County Daily Times that they would appeal.
"Yeah, that's crazy," Jackson told the newspaper.
Demps joined Jackson in the end zone after Jackson's 68-yard punt return gave the Eagles a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.
The two celebrated by turning toward each other, with arms folded and heads bobbing -- a violation of the league's rule against "prolonged, excessive, premeditated or choreographed celebrations, particularly after scoring plays."
Demps did not believe the two did anything excessive.
"Definitely I'm appealing," Demps said, according to the Daily Times. "I don't think it [warranted a fine]."
In addition, Eagles linebacker Tank Daniels was fined $5,000 for grabbing taterskins receiver Antwaan Randle El's facemask during a punt return. Daniels also plans to appeal.
The hits just keep on coming from that game.
