Weekly Winners
Week 1 - romey
Week 2 - legendz - dallas 28-24
Eagles_Legendz had the exact margin of victory correct with Cowboys 28-24. That would make him the winner.
P.S. My pick is Eagles to beat the Steelers, 20-16.
i think methdeez prediction was better but if it needs to be changed so be it
eagles 38-3
The Eagles never beat Pittsburgh... at least not recently... but I have a feeling about this one for some reason.
Eagles - 23
Steelers - 20
Steelers 22
Eagles 20
24-17, good guys.
It's in Philly, and a rebound game is required. Even against the Mighty AFC.
Beagles bounce back 27 - 17
This is a tough one. My hard-earned money is getting no where near it. But talk is free.

Margin of victory is king. Eagles points scored is the tiebreaker. By your logic, predicting 41-0 for the game would beat out predicting 40-36.
and by yours 7-3 cowboys would have been better than 41-35 cowboys

You're all insane. Everyone is still reeling from the loss and can't see how the Eagles could lose after this week's great game. I am tempted to say the same thing because despite the loss and McNabb's boneheadedness, the Cowboys game gave me a lot of hope for this team. But let's look at this...
An emotional last minute loss.
On the road.
Against a division opponent.
In prime time.
Followed by a short week.
Against an AFC powerhouse.
The Eagles will lose.

Eagles are 45-27-3 all time vs. the Steelers and I think I read somewhere the Steelers haven't won in Philly since the 60's...again, just sayin.
Even though I predicted an Eagles victory, it's not the history of the two franchises that concerns me; it's McNabbs history against the 3-4. I bet that's nowhere near 45-27-3

This thread is awesome.
I was reading on a Steelers board and an overwhelming amount of their fans keep referencing the '04 game and applying it to Sunday's game...like a game 4 years ago has any meaning whatsoever. They're giving skins fans a good run for their money in the homerism department. And apparently the NFC east doesn't compare with any division in the AFC, the Steelers are going 14-2, and Cleveland and Houston are better than the Eagles.

Willie Parker gives them fits. Roethlisberger gets a deep ball or two in there before the pressure finally comes around and gets to him. McNabb continues to be on point and DePimp becomes the first player in the history to put up 100 yard games in his first three games.
Eagles, 35-23.
More lack of defense, yay! (at least the Birds can stop the run......)
Hummm..no Monday night hangover for the Eagles and the offense is on track and the D pound Big Ben.
Philly 37 - Pitts 20
I think the defense comes back strong this week and holds the Steelers in check for the most part. The problem is, the Eagles offense will be held in check as well because Andrews won't play and they will have trouble with the high pressure 3-4 that Pittsburgh plays.
Eagles - 17
Pittsburgh - 20
not even a small chance the eagles win this game
pimp is shut down and maybe out for the first time

Seems like the Eagles are set up for the typical mailing-it-in, lose-by-17 game after the emotional devastation of Monday night. But the Steelers are about due for a letdown also, and Big Ben's shoulder is seriously farged up.
20-10 Birds.
By the way, I picked the Eagles Week 1 and wasn't around for Week 2, so that makes me 1-1.

Reggie Brown- 2 TD's
McNabb 3 TD, you tell me how.

DeShean Jackson 2 punt return TD's.

QuoteJAMAAL JACKSON WILL REJOIN EAGLES FOR STEELERS GAME
Posted by Mike Florio on September 20, 2008, 6:47 p.m. EDT
Eagles center Jamaal Jackson missed practice on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The specific reason for the absence previously wasn't known.
Sal Paolantonio of ESPN reports that Jackson's brother was killed in Miami by a drunk driver on Sunday, and that Jackson has been excused for all activities leading up to the Week Three game against the Steelers.
Jackson knew about his brother's condition before playing on Monday night against the Cowboys. Jackson then traveled to Florida with the blessing of the team, and has stayed there all week.
The funeral was held on Saturday, and Paolantonio reports that Jackson and several teammates attended. Though the identity of the other Eagles' players isn't known, it's believed that one or more other starting offensive linemen made the trip.
As a result, the players who are with Jackson will miss meetings and other activities typically conducted on the day before a game. The player are expected to rejoin the team on Saturday night or Sunday morning.
Jackson is expected to start against the Steelers.
That's pretty zesty

my prediction was incorrect.
My prediction of the Eagles' offense was essentially correct (though, if Westbrook had played, it may have been different). The defense was far superior than it looked last Monday.
Who'd have thought that the Eagles' run defense would look this much better than the pass defense after three weeks?
