I'm glad to see the Giants aren't blowing out the Rams. However, teams should be fined for wearing the colored jersey with same colored pants.

That's what they get for not giving us Roy for Lito. I've been rooting against them ever since.

Amazing TD catch by Torry Holt.  It shouldn't have counted, but it stands.

edit:  eh, maybe it didn't hit the ground.  Either way, tremendous concentration.

Haha holy crap Kitna is imploding at the end of the game here.

Whatever, he did well enough to get me tons of points from Calvin Johnson.

I have never listened to taterskins fans.  Not going to start now.

I'm not a big Favre fan, but I'd shore like to see the Jets kick the Pats asses.

Mainly because I have L. Coles starting in one league.

Well until about a year and a half ago, I lived in NYC.  Not many Skins fans there.  Baltimore is pretty purple, not many of 'em here either.  The ones I do run across are usually on jobs and we don't talk a lot at work.  We work.

Lucy you. Plenty of racist fans on the shore. They make me sick the way every year they think they are going to the Superbowl. Jim Zorney, the second coming.

Ravens fans, I have found, are completely different. They have no illusions of grandeur.

They are a dour bunch by and large, I agree.  Unlike Washington, they are not in the least enamored of the idea that their city, or team, is particularly great at anything.  Except maybe heroin and defense, respectively.

It would be even more hilarious if Norv Turner got fined for his press conference comments.

QuoteFrom Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union Tribune:

No one, it appears, is taking the mistake and its ramifications harder than Hochuli.

"He's devastated," said Mike Pereira, the NFL's supervisor of officials. "... I was talking to Ed within 10 minutes after the game was over, and he was sick. He's still sick (yesterday).

"Everybody works so hard and wants to be perfect in a game you're not likely to ever be perfect. I've talked to him three times. He's really struggling with the fact he made such a bad call."

Hochuli's also manning up and taking his e-mail lumps. His e-mail address isn't hard to find with a simple Yahoo! search, and he's been bombarded with hate mail. And still, he's replying to everyone. Someone relayed the following reply from Hochuli to a message board at the San Diego Union Tribute.

I'm getting hundreds of emails – hate mail – but I'm responding to it all. People deserve a response.

You can rest assured that nothing anyone can say can make me feel worse than I already feel about my mistake on the fumble play. You have no idea ...

Affecting the outcome of a game is a devastating feeling. Officials strive for perfection – I failed miserably. Although it does no good to say it, I am very, very sorry.

Ed Hochuli

Someone e-mail him.
