agreed.  i mean, in 06, when Donovan got hurt and Garcia was in.  i'm sure most of us would've said we wouldn't complain if they just made the playoffs.  well, they won a game in the playoffs and then lost a close one to the Saints, and there was a farg load of shtein to complain about after that game.

Well, because they had a shot over the years to better themselves in certain areas and didn't give McNabb enough help. The fact that no one thinks they have a shot at winning it all is in direct correlation to the job the front office has done since the Eagles lost to the Patriots in the Superbowl. I think a lot of people take the mindset that if they are going to keep feeding the fans this stuff about how the offense is fine and doesn't need a major upgrade, then they better go out and prove it. By prove it, I mean win the Superbowl, because that is really all that matters. When you build your team in the offseason, you compile the talent that you think wins you a championship. So, the Eagles clearly think this team is good enough to win. If the Eagles believe this, then the fans should absolutely hold them to that same standard.

If this was a rebuilding team, then I think people could stomach it if they missed the playoffs. They keep telling us they are going for it though. "Pedal to the metal." So go out and do it then.

If the Rams had bothered to show up, I think we'd have seen a mediocre Eagles team on offense and defense. The defense had opportunities for turnovers, but didn't get them. If the receivers aren't left wide open, at least two of them aren't having 100 yard days.
