No, not in the can or up the can...but with his money. Poor decisions and people milking him for cash. I guess this happens quite often when 18-21 year olds are handed armored cars loaded with cash and no real structure or guidance as to how to invest and preserve or say no to people or require 30 man entourages.

QuoteDespite earning more than $20 million in NFL bonuses, Vick could not find the money. In desperation, he turned to a Falcons teammate, linebacker Demorrio Williams.
Williams recommended Mary Wong, a 40-ish business manager in Omaha, Neb., who had helped Williams manage his money and his accounts.
Wong worked quickly to gather the restitution money, cashing in a retirement investment with Lloyd's of London and persuading a bank to lend Vick more money. That put together just enough money to pay the restitution.
It was a good start for Vick. But, according to papers filed in his bankruptcy, it did not last.
In addition to gathering the restitution funds, Wong used a power of attorney from Vick to "wrongfully remove" at least another $900,000 from his various accounts, according to a document filed by Ginsberg. And, court papers also say, Wong "caused certain business entities owned by [Vick] to be transferred to her."
There could be more bad news to come.
"We are still working on it, and it may well be that what she has taken from him will be well into seven figures," Ginsberg said.
This is amazing? I thought it was a well-known fact that this happens to like 90% of professional athletes / child stars / rock musicians / senile old people, and anyone else with far more money than intelligence. I'm more amazed when I hear about NFL players making sound, conservative investments with legitimate, established investment professionals.
Hell, it seems like even some of the NFL guys who end up making money are making it through immature-sounding risky ventures like buying dozens of classic cars, investing in their buddy's MMA career, flipping SoCal houses without knowing what the farg they are doing, etc. A lot more guys would get wiped out if luck wasn't on their side.
I'm pretty sure the NFL gives investment guidance to all rookies, but I'm sure he filed that away with the "don't get involved with a criminal interstate gambling ring" advice.
I guess it is amazing to me that so many people take advantage of people. And maybe even a little amazement that people allow themselves to be taken advantage of. The stupid decisions made and the bullet-proof mentality...I can't fathom how it must be to have millions at that age and have to fend off sharks.

Mike Vick shouldn't be allowed to have any dogs, he can't afford dog food.
He'll have plenty of money if he gets out of jail. Find Jesus, find a ghost writer, PROFIT!
