Westbrook better not even get any grass stains on him tonight.
Say word.
all i care about this game is season ending panther injuries
3-13

Knowing our luck some team will finish 2-14 and we'll end up with Ryan Leaf instead of Peyton Manning.
Also - why aren't you out there tailgating yet? Slacker.
lol @ preseason games
i got five extras for tonight if anyone wants them
I was offered 2 tickets but can't make it cause my truck is ooc. Don't know if I would have gone as it is.

I'll never forget how miserable I was at the Seahawks game last season. They showed Rollins on the big screen and he got a standing O followed by the MVP! chant.
Rollins should be DFA'd.
ok so i got free tickets for tonight. is it weird if i ask the king how big his dong is. like i want to know if were approaching dirk diggler territory here.
Dirk only went gay when he was really desperate for money and down on his luck.
his cock was 14 inches before he decided to jerk off for the guy in the car for $10
So, you're saying that by asking King how much he's packing you're proving you have a big dong yourself?
I doubt your sincerity.
this has nothing to do with me, stupid. its just about king and the third leg he has.
is it raining in philly?
chance of rain but looks OK right now
Looking at the radar and knowing what I've experienced today a few hundred miles to the west, I'd say the chance of rain is good.
here in nyc there was severe rain. just cleared up.
The Game is on Fox here tonight in MD, yay.
It's on FOX in Gas, Kansas too
Haha...Gas.
It's on Fox in Ft. Myers, Florida as well.
hmm its raining. starters should not play at all.
And Andy Reid with the first quarter time out!
Andy in midseason form with the early blown timeouts.
Reggie's got a bad hammy...
hooray reggie brown is hurt.
This of course means more Hank Baskett 8)
If Reggie Brown is hurt bad, I don't want to hear any injury excuses. It is Andy and Tom's fault for not bringing in better depth at WR if the offense struggles because of an injury.
Curtis negates a nice 1st down by Westbrook.
and then 2 bad throws by mcnabb.

yeah i felt like he lept too early for that pass.
i thought they would bring up the whole pam oliver vs mcnabb thing from last season.
The moment the Jackson pass was over I said "gotta run under the ball, son." My wife said, um, he was running under the ball. A rain drop knocked him down.
:-D
Why in the farg was Westbrook out there at all?
He shouldn't be anywhere near the field. He shouldn't even get into an elevator at the stadium just in case one of the cables decides to snap.

All I can think of is American History X.
ANDY...WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO PROVE!?!?!?

Can someone explain to me why Herremans isn't slotted as the heir apparent to the LT position?
Now Donovan is scrambling down the field.
Nothing bad can ever happen in situations like this. Nothing at all.
that won't count
Good. Get them out now. Send them home.
After listening to Mike Quick talk about how much poise McNabb had in not crossing the line of scrimmage, I am now hearing that the call has been reversed because McNabb was beyond the line of scrimmage.
more poor tackling
Nice hit from Mikell there.
It's only preseason. Nothing to worry about.
put dawkins out to pasture...ankled one week carried the next....oh and the linebackers suck...beason made one more play in the 1st quarter tonight than the entire crew made last year outside of the bradleys meaningless saints game...man i wanted that guy in the draft
Dawkins just prevented a touchdown, dingus.
i dont mind the trick play in pre season. i dont want it in the reg season. or when its raining.
McNabb is back out there again.
Stupefying.
Lorenzo Booker does not appear to be a legitimate kickoff returner.
nice pass to jackson..he dropped it but hes impressed me tonight more so as a WR then PR.

I expect Jackson to be good, but overall special teams don't look much improved from last year's abortion.
Motherfarging train wreck.
LITO LITO LITO LITOOOOOOOOOOOOO LI-TO, LI-TO!

dropped passes, overthrown, and just passing way too much.
with 2 timeouts left maybe sneak in a running play or two?
They haven't even pretended to run the ball tonight. And really, why should they? The conditions out there are perfect for passing the ball.
First-team defense :yay
First-team offense :boom :boom :boom
Special teams :puke
McNabb and the receivers were not on the same page. I think I've had my fill of Greg Lewis in an Eagles uniform.
I couldn't care less about the mix of plays. I don't care if they win either. They aren't playing to win, they are playing to evaluate players, and there's much more to evaluate at WR than RB.
Rory should have been canned in the offseason. I don't even care if special teams is more a personnel problem than a coaching problem. Send the message that anyone running a unit that zesty will get fired. I think it's going to be zesty again.
the well-executed timeout b4 the end of the half was a fitting conclusion to an awful first half
I mentioned it earlier but I'll say it again. Lorenzo Booker sucks at fielding kickoffs.

He outshined every other skill position player tonight, and that's with a fumble and a handful of drops. If a guy that little can avoid significant injury, he's going to be a significant part of this team very quickly.

For the life of me I could never figure this out. He should have replaced Justice after the first half vs. the Giants and they could have slid MJG at LG. Herremans handled the LT spot fine and did pretty good when he went up against Umeniyora vs. the Giants his rookie season.
this game should put any hank baskett hysteria to rest once again
Andy does this shtein all the time. Remember when we signed Trotter and it took him like half the season to put him in for garbage Simoneau. The guy just makes the dumbest coaching moves sometimes.
DeSean is the Truth!
and Manneans is the LT this team should have after this season
Cut Baskett
Rocky Boiman failing to block his guy on special teams there.
3rd and 6 here... do they go to Jackson again?
King Dunlap gets pushed back into New Jersey and Kolb eats a sack.
Forced fumble by Studebaker?
Kolb just threw a pass in no man's land between Jackson and Baskett.
Richmond McGee nails a 40 yard FG.
Tony Hunt caps a solid game with a monster TD run against Carolina's scrubs.
Who said Hunt doesn't have speed?
Look at that boy run.
McDougle looks good.
7-8 dropped passes tonight. Including like 3 off of Curtis' mitts.
MJG cannot block on screens. He whiffed more than Choke Dawg on one screen play. AFter two hands penalties. Get in position, meat.
Herremans looks like a different player from last year. Solid at LT.
Scott Young started. WTF?
McGlynn had a nice block to spring Booker.
The special teams farging blow. BLOW!
DeSean is a pimp. But he has to not dance so much on returns. ANd watch that weakside, youngin. They'll pop the ball out.
Him and Demps and Booker all dance too much. Get the ball and go up field.
But then again...when there is no farging blocking...I guess you have to dance.
Tony Hunt...maybe they can get something via trade for him now.
McDougle and Hunt are playing like they actually deserve jobs. They're not making the decision-making as easy as it seemed.
The main thing proven today: The Eagles third-string scrubs are way better than Carolina's third-string scrubs. 24 fourth quarter points erupting out of what had been a dismally boring second half.
This is the opposite of the past. The Eagles first string looks great and the third string sucks. Tonight the first team everything besides the offensive and defensive lines were abysmal and the 3rd stringers were ballin.
Justin Roland!
Five Fo!
Well the defense looked good tonight.
Offense looked zesty.
Opposite from last week. Should I worry?
Pretty much how I jokingly said in the other topic that it would be the opposite of last week, but yeah, be worried.
You should've been worried even before this game considering they did next to nothing in the offseason to upgrade the offense.

My expectations are so high for DJack I am pretty sure no matter what he does this year he is going to a letdown.
Mikell had another solid game
Tough game to judge with the weather being the way it was. Really no excuses after the rain stopped, yea it was wet still, but all those drops were just horrible. The receivers are fine!
They still passed the ball 25 times in the first half...when it was doing nothing but pouring rain the entire time! When they ran the ball, they got yards...why not stick to that? Oh yea, thats right its called strategy, which Andy Reid lacks any concept of.
D-Jackson had a great game, he did have some drops but again with the weather...he did well. I agree he does dance alittle much on returns. Booker...is not the answer for kick returns...seriously the guy looks like reno out there, with just more speed. No hope at all for this spot.
Where was Avant? Dawks hit on Muhammed was classic...he straight knocked him silly. Baskett sucks. McNabb was okay...nothing great...had happy feet on some of his mis-throws... ::)
i must have rewinded djack coming out of that stop and go move 50 times...if anyone still has the game check out his fluidity and how effortlessly he came out of the break...its insane and made me pee all over my house

Totally agree. I watched that move more than a few times on the TiVo. Great move. He got real good YAC after those little hitch passes he caught too. Even on his return where he coughed up the ball... he looked really smooth. Jackson was the best player on the field for either team for most of the night.

I didn't get that either. He left the CB flat-footed and got a good 3-4 yards of separation... and if the pass was completed, it was 6. What more can you want from a route?
I rewatched the game this morning, there are players like Westbrook who just seem so much faster than everyone else on the field even though I'm sure he's not. D Jack fell into that category, at times he looked borderline dominant.
i think what aikman is saying is that he didnt sell it huge by running an actual pattern or really being in synch with mcnabb...he basically just lowered his gear then exploded out of it...if glew runs a similar pattern hes gotta perfectly sell and out and up mcnabb has to perfectly sell it with a pump and in general everything has to be executed to a tee
when you have off the charts atleticism (which is what ive been pushing in every draft for the last five years on both sides of the ball) you can lack in your game planning and execution and still be successful...but when you have people like glew kevin curtis reggie brown chris gocong ect...you cant make any mistakes on the field and if your execution isnt absolutely perfect your margin for error is miniscule

It actually makes sense in a pre-season game to try to practice the hard stuff, like passing in the rain. Judging by all the drops, the receivers clearly need some work at it. Additionally, since they decided to play Westbrook, I'm glad they didn't run that much.
That said, if they did the same thing in a game that matters, you might actually be making some sense right now.

I was talking more along the lines of his cuts and whatnot. He finds a seam and forget about it.

Agreed. He's juking around and not hitting the hole on runs, and he's dropped at least 3 kickoffs already.
So far, he's looking more like a WR than anything else.
bookers never been a kickoff returner before and perhaps they are round pegging a square hole with him back there...he has been brutal...but im defintiely willing to give him the last two games to improve
the rest of his game im not concerned about in the least...i think hes gonna be a very good compliment to westbrook...my main concern is for him to get the offense down in case of a westbrook injury and he has to play full time
the one thing that was solid, aside from DeJack, is Mcnabb was barely pressured on his passes and they were missing both Thomas and Andrews

the highlight of the game was some idiot kid slipping and falling when he went to kick a field goal in the halftime contest. then he needed help limping off the field. comedy gold.
QuoteMcNabb finished 11-of-24 for 98 yards against a secondary that was missing three starters. He didn't get much help from his receivers, who dropped about six passes.
"We had too many drops," coach Andy Reid said. "You can't drop that many balls and expect to move the ball consistently."
Yes, Andy...that has been a problem for what now? 8 out of 9 years?
And that one year that is wasn't was when we had an actual WR. An ACTUAL. STARTING. WIDE. RECEIVER. YOU. FARGING. PIECE. OF. CRAP.

Ater watching the game last night, I'm still in shock that McNabb continues to do stupid shtein on the football field even though he's been in the league for ten years. Whether he's running past the LOS to throw the ball, throwing a three yard completion with five yards to go, poor 2 minute drill/clock management, overthrowing/underthrowing, and the always inevitable pick at the end of an attempted comeback, this guy continues to do things that I see youngstaz do when I'm refereeing pee-wee football games. It's sad as hell. That's why I don't pay attention to pre-season scounting reports of who did what in practice, how healthy somebody is, or how many times a play was ran to perfection. I know it's pre-season, but I make my judgements on what I see them do during an actual game scenario, regardless of if its pre-season, season, or post-season. I honestly feel that McNabb, the receivers, and special teams are going to disappoint this year, but I hope they prove me wrong. However, Desean is the truth. Even with his mistakes they guy is better than any receiver the Eagles have had since TO. If he ain't a starter in this offense by week 4 something's wrong...

Reid says,
"Well, we did it again," coach Andy Reid said. "We moved the ball and had a chance to do a lot more in getting points. Last year it was red zone problems. Tonight we made mistakes that bogged things down. We've got more work to do there. We have to be more explosive"I believe the Eagles red zone troubles are a result of the field becoming smaller. It's easier for the defense to when there's less real estate to worry about. I know - breaking news. You read it here first.
less field also = easier to mark westbrook
and we all know how easy it is to cover the rest of the offense
hopefully lj helps out this year in that area
Cbuck could help that situation also. He's a definate threat with his quickness between the tackles, and could keep defenses from spreading out so much.
LJ will help...but it would also farging help if Reid would stop being a dumbass and run the ball when they get down in that area.
He'll run it once, for one or two yards off tackle. Then he'll see that theres no way he can run the ball and score, so he'll pass the whole rest of the time.
They'll never expect a pass on 3rd and goal!
