All WRs still available
Perhaps time to delete and change the other threads name to 2008 draft thread.
Yeah, I'd be pretty happy if they made a move and came away with Thomas, Jackson or Kelly at this point.
Donnie Avery first WR = what.
Damn, thats shocking.
Thomas, Sweed, Calais Campbell or DeSean go to WAS I guess
Barf.
Skins get Devin Thomas. :boo
damnit, thomas

Relax there are still quite a few left.
GET DESEAN ANDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Was never sold on Thomas anyway
they need to trade up damnit get a fargin WR PLEASE!
all the teams in front of them can benefit from WR, this is not looking good unless they move up
Looks like the run on WRs has started.
The Eagles won't trade up. They'll sit there.
and then pass on a WR.
Unfortunately quite a few teams like Bal, SF, and Buf all look like they could use WRs.
Seattle taking DeSean or Malcolm Kelly?
if harbaugh is anything like andy he won't pick a (good) wr
It's hilarious. This team went 8-8 last year and still haven't taken a player yet.
Then they let the best WR on the board go to the Skins.
What a joke.
Every team in the NFC got better today. Except the Eagles so far. I know the day isn't over yet, but seriously. Be proactive.
Get DeSean!
He'll drop into their laps.
Chilo Rachal to the 49ers
the best thing to do is to reach and trade up for a crappy player or have a good player available and not pick him or wait and have the guy you want gone right before you...or want a guy and draft someone you thought was him. go eagles!
Every team on the board before 43 could take a WR. Buffalo would probably go Kelly over Jackson. We'll have to see.
Will Lito be traded here?
Sad to say, none of those recievers are better than what we have.
Saints take Tracy Porter
No Shockey trade then I guess.
So there are 3 guys I would've been happy with at 19 (Thomas, Jackson, Phillips), all are available, we trade down, and 2 of the 3 go to division rivals.
If Buffalo or Denver takes Jackson I'm going to kill people.
If neither does and Jackson is available and we still don't take him I'm going to farging genocide the entire farging NOvacare complex
Buffalo takes James Hardy
I knew they'd take a big WR, was thinking of Kelly in Hardy just the same.
I wouldn't be suprised to see the Eagles take Tyrell Johnson with their first of their picks.
Broncos take Eddie Royal
PLEASE GET DESEAN
PLEASE GET DESEAN
PLEASE GET DESEAN
PLEASE GET DESEAN
Desean Jackson, Sweed, Kelly, pass on a WR for Tyrelle Johnson or Roy Williamzzz?
I'd be down with Kelly too, but prefer Jackson.
Flyers up 1-0 btw guys.
They farging traded again!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG THIS TEAM!!!
WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!?
Vikings take Tyrell Johnson
fargING funhole shtein ASS DOUCHE farg fargING BALLS
you mutherfarger i'm taping the flyers game.
i like how the birds finish 8-8 and trade down. twice. i'm confused.
Rumor is 2nd + 5th for 2nd + 4th
this is the greatest day of my life.

43 and 152 for 47 and 117.
We better be loading for for a vet WR man. This is ridiculous.
Gotta sweat out DET and CIN now... before we can get up for DeSean again. :boom
Andy Reid says the whole damn team is fine!
:-D :-D
Unreal.
GET THAT MOTHERfargER DESEAN!!
wtf are they doing!!!???? it better be fargin good or i am going to drink myself to death
if we trade again I'm murdering motherfargers

I figured you were going to do that anyway.
Helluva draft going on here... it'd be nice if the Eagles decided to be a part of it.
Jordon Dizon.....ha Detroit sucks
DET took Jordon Dizon... whoever the farg that is.
With the Chad and Chris Henry issues... CIN could very well be going WR here.
Quote from: BigEd76 on April 26, 2008, 07:37:43 PM
Jordon Dizon.....ha Detroit sucks
Who?
They still might be able to get Jackson, and we pray.
Colorado LB....was a 2nd-day pick up until a few weeks ago
Bengals take Jerome Simpson... Eagles back on the clock.
Question isn't who do the Eagles will take... it's who do they trade with?
I prefer Sweed over Desean but whatever.
Please don't take Bennett.

LMAO
DT Trevor Laws.
I like it
I'm cool with this.
ONLY if they take DeSean or Limas at 49.
Laws is a tackling machine. Dude had like 200-something tackles as in interior DL. That is amazing
Fred Davis to the Skins
Decent.
Back on the clock. Let's see DeSean.
Can't complain about Laws, they need depth inside.
don't know much about laws, but he probably can't get blown off the ball as much as patterson does
YESSSSS
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
DeSean on the phone cheering!!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Jk, I'm ok with it, but prefer Thomas.
i'm going to make love to myself tonight.
YESSSSSS!!
This has been a very good draft!
HELL YEAH!!!!!!
GET SOME! farg you reno mahe!!!
I shtein all over the farging floor this round. Jesus christ dude.
Back to the draft
Calais Campbell to Arizona
I love what they've done.
It looks like they couldn't get the OT they wanted, so they'll use Carolina's #1 next year for that. They got two guys in the 2nd round who they desperately needed. If DeSean is more Steve Smith than Az Hakim, this is an excellent day 1.
Skins get Malcolm Kelly
If DeSean means that Reno isn't returning punts anymore than I like what they've done.
So the Skins have gotten two WRs and a TE. Isn't their D still a major problem?
I hate this draft so far. They farged up big-time, and I'm usually an optimist.

Yep. No pass rush and questions at LB and CB
King Cole, will you shut the farg up?
I never thought the Eagles would take Desean, it is an excellent pick.
chad henne's face is reason enough to not draft him.
At least we kept Lito though. We are gonna need him. Dallas is so much better than us right now it is laughable.
I actually had a brief flash-forward of the Eagles taking Henne at 47. I would not be here typing had that happened.
Sweed to the Steelers

They will take Dixon or Brennan and IR him if they don't trade Feeley and 2 #3s for Donald Driver. :paranoid

You think we can compete with Dallas? They were already a lot better and just took two player who will contribute right away. Not to mention they traded for Pacman Jones. Criminal, but a stud.
Yeah because Laws and Jackson won't contribute anything.
Ray Rice to the Ravens
Jenkins will be the 3rd or 4th CB this year. I like him and he'll turn out excellent, but not now. Jones probably won't do much outside the return game. Pacman might not even be reinstated. Dallas gave up a LB and TE for a 4th rounder. They haven't gotten significantly better in the short term. Long term probably.
King Cole, it's mandatory as a true Eagles fan to never say anything nice or positive about the Cowboys..

You really think they will keep him out another year, has that ever been done before ?

In the past I would agree, but after missing the playoffs 2/3 years, enough is enough.
I don't see how any Eagles fan could be disappointed today. It looks likes Lito is staying, they picked up an extra #1 next year, added depth at DT, and added an electrifying return man. Not to mention Jackson could be used as a deepthreat on offense.
I'll go on the record right now that I like what they've done so far.
I like it too.
I like the 1st round trade out because CAR's #1 next year could be pretty good. They got a 1, 2 and a 4 to move out. Washington had to give up picks 2 spots later to move down.
I was mad at the second trade out but getting Laws and Jackson is pretty good.

I'm not as mad as I once was, but basically it comes down to this:
Curtis and Brown are still our starting WRs. Maybe I was delusional in thinking Devin Thomas would come in and be a major stud or we could trade for a vet WR. But that is what I was hoping. I wanted Devin Thomas at 19.
Some guys that fell to day 2:
QB = Andre' Woodson, John David Booty
RB = Jamaal Charles, Steve Slaton, Mike Hart
WR = Early Doucet, Mario Manningham, Earl Bennett
DT = Pat Sims
LB = Dan Connor, Ali Highsmith, Xavier Adibi
CB = Justin King, Reggie Smith
S = Dajuan Morgan
Is King Cole channeling the spirit of the absent igy?
I like Connor, Manningham, Bennett as 3rds for us.
Somebody needs to post an updated list of the rest of their picks. ED?
Wow, Wide receiver Jordy Nelson, Kansas State, a projected late third or fourth rounder gets picked in the second by the Packers. Damn.

They love that up North in the frozen tundra.
ha, that's the first thing i said when they showed a highlight package of him...
what was his 40 time? he looked slow to me, but maybe that was his pure white skin
4.5, I think.
Packers selecting WR = Andy Reid selecting OL
