I think the playoffs could be pretty exciting this year. The Lakers and the Suns in the West finals would be someting to see, but the Suns have to get by the Spurs and the Hornets. The Lakers have a much easier bracket.
Sorry, but I don't think the Sixers get past the first round. Also, the Wizards will probably lose out to the Cavs for the third straight year. The Celtics and the Cavs should be a good series if it happens. I'm interested to see if King James can carry his team to the semi's. But really, I don't see any way it could be anything other than the Pistons and the Celtics playing in the semi's for the East.
theres like one and half people here who like the nba
first round predictions:
Hawks/Celtics = celtics - 4
Sixers/Pistons = sixers - 6
Raptors/Magic = raptors - 7
Wiz/Cavs = bullets - 4
Nuggets/Lakers = lakers - 4
Mavs/Hornets = hornets - 7
Suns/Spurs = suns - 7
Rockets/Jazz = jazz - 5
Is that why the Sixers thread is always getting bumped? Not that I read it, but someone must be posting there. Didn't know it was only 1 1/2 people.

You really think the Wizards are going to beat the Cavs with all the injuries they have?
I would rather be calling them the Bullets also.
bullets dont have any injuries and look great right now...cavs are a disgrace....it might not be four as the refs could easily toss a couple games clevelands way and i dont even discount that they could give them the series but the bullets are so much better on paper its not even funny so i went four
Arenas is coming off the bench, being used as the sixth man. Not that he won't get minutes, but he hasn't played regularly in a long time. Still, reading his quotes he has conficence, and says no matter how long it's been since he played, he still has his shot.
true but they were playing good without him and its not like they lack scoring without him so now imagine a guy like that coming off the bench...i also suspect that hes gonna be a 6th man in name only and especially as the series wears on hell start getting more minutes than some of the starters...hes lucky hes an nba player and not nhl as the nba has like a week off btwn games...hell actually get more rest being in the playoffs than he would in the reg season
i want to see how lebron responds. the cavs have been talking a lot of trash.
actually i would love to see the wizards eliminate them. wish the sixers could eliminate the pistons. and wish the nuggets could eliminate the lakers. would get rid of the 3 teams i least enjoy.
too bad most of the games on the weekdays will be on so late i wont be able to watch.
almost brawl in the bullets cavs game

Chris Paul is a pimp...
Houston has issues with Utah. They can't beat them at all. McGrady is bitchmade and will wilt under pressure. Scola and Carl Landry are good young players though. Skip To My Lou is out for the first two games and I just think Utah and Deron Williams will cntinue to eat them up.

Yeah, Bullets blow it in the fourth quarter after Arenas talked all that crap about being the best fourth quarter player in the league. Lebron busted his ass.
yeah the bullets are a bunch of dogs...if youre gonna talk that much trash pre series you have to win the first game at least...i think they still win the series but damn that shtein they threw out there today was weak...jamison is slowly turning into a chris webber type playoff performer who pisses his pants when the fourth quarter starts

Alright now. He wilted like a tulip being pissed on by a Pit Bull.
Two threes in a row he missed. Why they kicked it out to him that second time I don't know.
wow whos watching this game
duncan is amazing...and what a play by ginobli
duncans first threee of the season ties it in ot
Theres a guy on the Spurs bench who looks like Danny Smith; the Eagles old ST coach.
this game is iller than an aids patient
Nash ties w a 3 w/ 15 seconds left, Manu wins it with a running floater w 1.7 left.
If this is an indication of how this series is gonna be....oh shtein.
it totally feels like its a game 7
Great game. Agreed on the game 7 feel...this series is going to be fun to watch. Duncan hitting the three was awesome.
lol @ bullets in 4. there is no way stern lets lebron bounce in rd. 1.
i wanted to see shaq attempt a three.
they should open the next game up with him just taking one.
for the first time in a very long time, the nba playoffs are going to be more exciting than the ncaa tournament.
Gasol and Howard had 2 of the most dominating games yesterday in playoff history.
Gasol: 45m, 36pt, 16reb, 8ast, 3blk
Howard: 44m, 25pt, 22reb, 2ast, 1stl, 5blk
Rediculous.
Man, this Washinton Cleveland game is turning into a brawl. Halftime can't come quick enough for the Wiz.
i predict a bullets sweep
Maybe ol' Agent Zero and Stevenson will think twice about popping off at the mouth again.
And again, those uniforms should be outlawed. Butta joints they are not.
Utah takes both games in Houston. Another 1st-round exit for McGrady
Damn, the Wiz gets beat by thirty, and then Dallas gets thier asses handed to them by N.O., LAL 128, DEN 114. Almost as bad.
The Sixers, on the other hand, suprised everyone.
Atlanta is up 12 on Boston. The Shot clock isn't working so the PA announcer is counting the time down. Why is Atlanta always having technical problems??
Boston and Atlanta tied up 2-2. Who is Joe Johnson?? Scored 20 of his 38 in the 4th quarter last night.
New Orleans up 3-1 over Dallas.
Philly hanging right there with Detroit, 2-2. As most of you already know, this has been a great series so far.
San Antonio 3-1 over Phoenix. The Spurs were blown out last night but didn't look too worried about it as they were sitting on the bench laughing at the end of the game.
Orlando eliminates Toronto, 4-1
Utah up on Houston, 3-1
Washington is getting gagged by LeBron and Cleveland. Imo, if the Wizards were going to win this series, they would have won Sat. night. Instead they lost on a tie breaking 3 pointer by Delonte West, who was wide open at the baseline when the Wizards whole defense collapsed on a driving LeBron, who promply kicked it out with a great pass. Areanas had a chance to tie but missed a very lame looking 3 to end the game.
New Orleans is up 3-1 on Dallas, dum-dum.
LA also swept Denver.
I thought Denver would win 1 or 2 in that series. Where's hunt to tell us how AI failed to get past the first round again? :)
The more I watch both conferences play, the more convinced I am that San Antonio is gonna pull it off again
but I want so badly for the Lakers to take it
the nba actually suspended songalia for that foul on lebron
unfargingbelievable
the lebron rules

Not even a little bit
I love the Lakers, always have. I was drawn to the all the Celtics/Lakers/Detriot series back in the day, and I got hooked on them....followed them every year since.
In fact, I dont even remember watching Sixers games back then, which is a crying shame because I missed out big time
Rooting for the Lakers and being a Philly fan is about equal to rooting for the Mets.
And yes, the NBA love fest for LeBron is sickening
because the Lakers/Sixers rivalry is so awesome.
there not even close...it is what is
reese's douchebaggery knows no boundaries. cheering for the lakers? good god. die.
You're not good with word contractions, reese.
I always hated the Lakers but never so much as when I moved to San Diego. The bandwagon spread down there during their little run and was probably the most pathetic thing I had ever seen. I blame the Lakers for turning me from a huge NBA fan to only caring about the Sixers.

RE: Lakers
Not a Lakers fan but I really do like the current team they run out on the floor every night. And except for when the Lakers are playing Philly I am a Kobe fan. I'd love to see a Lakers/Cavs finals and watch the 2 best players in the game face off against each other but all in all, I'm not really pulling for any team in particular this year now that the Sixers are out.
dont believe the hype
tim duncan is the best player in the game

Rome--I want you to please take a mental note on this.
Calling someone a douchebag (which couldnt be more overplayed here in CF) or telling them to die because they like a different sports team than you might be one of the gayest things ever. Congrats
this delay in the spurs-hornets game is awesome. they couldn't put out the flaming ring of fire that the mascot dunked through and now there's fire extinguisher foam all over the court. it's taking over a half hour.
korver is checking kobe
good job Atlanta
anyone else really want to punch kendrick perkins? his face just looks like an icehole. farg that guy.
Lakers/Celtics again. So that's 4 Boston teams that reached the finals of their sport in the last 8 months....
Celts, Pats, Sox......who's the 4th?
whoever it is its not the bruins so it doesnt matter
college hockey easy might be talking about...he also loves his arena football maybe their team made it or it could be marcus dupree and the boston breakers
MLS (New England Revolution)
Lakers in Six.
lol @ considering the mls a sport worthy of mention. the mls is like the nbadl or something. any halfway decent player goes to europe.

I think the Lakers have a decent chance at sweeping the series but Boston will probably win a home game. I don't think it goes past 5.
What choices: The Lakers and Kobe gets even more smug. The Celtics and not only is it a traditional rival of the 76ers, but the Boston fans get even more smug.
Kobe and ESPN may make the Sidney Crosby lovefest in the NHL look like the Hatfields and McCoys.
I think I'm the only one here who actually likes Kobe Bryant but even if I thought he was the biggest funhole in the world, I still wouldn't cheer for the Celtics under any circumstances. farg Boston and everything about it.
And farg L.A. too just a funholehair less than Boston.
I am not rooting for anyone but will be vehemently rooting against Boston. farg Boston.
As always I'm rooting for the evil-doers.
