So does anyone know when the schedule is being released?
I heard a few rumors, but I consider it all hearsay until IGY confirms.
My guess (because I'm bored):
Week 1: @ SEA
Week 2: WAS
Week 3: @ CHI
Week 4: BYE
Week 5: DAL
Week 6: STL
Week 7: @ SF
Week 8: @ NYG
Week 9: AZ
Week 10: @ BAL
Week 11: CLE
Week 12: @ CIN
Week 13: @ PIT
Week 14: @ WAS
Week 15: ATL
Week 16: @ DAL
Week 17: NYG
My guess:
You're wrong.
My hope, not the Giants the last game of the season.
i hope they play the Giants...twice even
I hope we can beat them at least once.
October 26th in Dallas would be good, great, grand,,,WONDERFUL.
I want the Dallas game to be whenever the hell I'm going down there next year. I think I'm owed this favor after I killed Jesus.
Well, we might thank you if Herod got the job done, but instead you let him hang around and hang around...by the time you offed him it was too late.

Weeks 1 and 3 can be home games, 2 and 4 cannot because the Phils are home those weekends.
Yeah, that home bye in week 4 would be a total conflict. They should totally schedule that for a roadie instead.
Wow - I really hope your schedule is wrong. I want a home opener the first week of the season. Make it happen, dook.
And LOL at the Christ Killer. You'll get nothing and like it.
Rumors floating that Cards/Eagles or Browns/Eagles is the Thanksgiving night game
interesting...
Can I be the first to call Eagles/Cardinals/Turkey the new turducken?
I've actually had turducken. Not bad. Tasted like grilled human baby.
http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/04/15/browns-eagles-on-thanksgiving-night/
NC says it's not Cleveland, so it must be Arizona
Another one: the home game vs the Giants is a night one (not sure if it's SNF or MNF though)
Eagles/Cruds on Thanksgiving? Ugh.
Gotta love this time of year when Ed is combing the internets looking for leaks and then coming and dropping little gems for everyone to gobble up.

Well, that's one way to get Fitzgerald to come to Philly.
I'm happy they got a Thanksgiving night game, that way I can stuff my face all day, get a nice buzz goin watching Detroit and Dallas, then settle down for the evening and watch the Eagles.
Nevermind. I just read the tiny text.

That's a pretty generous 3-0 to end the season, Sun...
No two games in a row at home but only one two week stretch on the road. I guess that's better than three in a row against the division on the road in December.

I like how the Pats have the weakest schedule in the entire league. Of course, 6 of those games do come from within a very weak division. But still, they must only be playing 2 or 3 teams this year who were over .500 last year.
I would have thought the Eagles' SOS was much higher than that.
Then you would have thought wrong.
Hoping for teh Baltimore roadie this season. Was also thinking of doing a second to either Chicago or Cincy, but the scheduling sucks. MNF in Chicago is doable, but that makes it a little harder with time off (assuming off course, I have a job to take a vacation from by then). And Cincy is the week before Baltimore, so two weekends in a row is absolutely out.

My roadie this year may have to be the Giants because it's looking like the only weekend that I won't have conflictions with so far. Seattle may be a possibility as well. I was really hoping for the Bodymore game but that's not looking good for me right now.

only thing that worked for me is that temple/penn state fell on the same weekend as eagles/steelers. that could be fun.
If you're into watching your two favorite teams lose, then yeah....it'll be a lot of fun.
How big a roady can we hook up for Cincy?
Nearly four people!
I can do Cincy. That's within driving range.

I'm already there.
Cinci might be possible. It's just too early for me to tell right now.
Why the hell would you guys want to have a roadie in Cincinnati of all places? That's like planning a ski trip to Jack Frost when you have a house in Aspen.
Well, for one, it appears as if you won't be there.
I think I'm down with Cincy. Can then cross that one off the list. Cincy has a great drinking area right on the river. I know it's right next to the baseball stadium, so the football stadium is probably close by as well.

The drinking is actually right across the Ohio river in KY... but it is indeed great.
The football and baseball stadiums sit literally right next to each other and they're both stumbling distance (or swimming distance if you the man like that) across the bridge.

Southeastern Ohio isn't my dream vacation spot and any Eagles game I go to is a roadie anyway. I have tickets in Philly whenever I want to go plus the added incentive of drinking crack juice with IGY and watching Die Hard projectile vomit after two Coors Lights.
I win.
PS: SunMo has promised to give me a tour of Souderton the next time I come up. Souderton >>>>>>>> Cincinnati.
Well, no one invited you so.... we win.
Eagles game w/o Rome >>>>>>>>>>>> Eagles game w/Rome

1. its not a vacation
2. youll be in downtown cincy not appalachia
3. other than san fran it will be the easiest eagle group road ticket this year
4. 8 hr drive >>>> 26 hour train
5. games in philly are not road games for an eagle fan
i can take you to the field that Jamie Moyer played at...and the Burger King he probably ate at...and the gas station he probably filled up at...
Shouldn't you be basking in the glow of your amazing Caps in Five prediction about now?

yup
Heres my plan:
Cincy @ Louisville – 11/14
Vanderbilt @ Kentucky – 11/15
Eagles @ Bengals – 11/16
I just ran a price check on tickets for s & g's from LA to Cincy for that weekend. So far, the cheapest that came up was $500. :puke
Looks like I'll be flying to BWI and road tripping it with IGY.
whats s & g's?
shteins and giggles
die
not only is that awful but wouldnt it only be for s&g's if there was no chance you were getting a ticket no matter what the price

Instant classic...
If someone can ensure they play some Def Leppard up in that joint, it could get dangerous.

No. It's because it's 6 months before the takes place so even if the tickets were only $100, I still wouldn't buy them because I'm not able to commit to those dates this far in advance, but I wanted to check the prices anyway for the hell of it.
Can't you just make up some military-related emergency or something? I mean, Jesus, what's the military good for if not to rip it off?

And he always seemed to puke right next to my truck.
I may do the Cincy trip. Its like 565 right now on Continental, but I should have enough frequent flier miles by then. If not, I'll suck it up and pay it.
Are you going to bring your new Johan jersey?
:-D
Crazy. I wont have to wear that thing because The King is better and will have a better year.
New plan:
farg Cincy.
skins. October 5. Linc. IGY fruity drinks.
cincy eagle tickets are on stubhub and start at $95

If Cincy is as bad as they have the potential to be this year, it may be worth it to wait til a week or so before the game. Tickets for the Vikings game last year were going on ebay for like $12 a pop just a few days before the game.
thats true but its hard to get 10 or 12 together that close to the game
Oh, without a doubt. But if there happens to be some last minute additions to the group, tickets should be relatively cheap and easy to come by.
little peek at what the eagles opponents did week 1
dallas - good road win at cleveland
pittsburgh - like birds dominant win over bad team
chicago - great win at indy...next three weeks just became murder
washington - looked like garbage
san fran - are garbage
atlanta - nice win for them...detroit still sucks...so does atlanta
seattle - what a dog performance
nyg - solid
cincy - should be a fun roadie
baltimore - eh
arizona - turkey dinner
cleveland - pretty poor showing in home opener...jurys still out
chicago was bad news
seattle was good news
the rest is probably as it was before the weekend
thanks for the update, champ

Split 3-3 with the division and go 7-3 against everyone else.
Sounds about right. How they do it is irrelevant. And St. Louis will be the worst team in the NFL this year. Book it.
Now that is just crazy talk.
is it
maybe the eagles are just the best
If losing the first game of the season dictates your whole season, the Colts should finish dead last
Wouldn't they finish in a 16 way tie with the other 15 teams who lost their opening game?

I'm still not sold on the Bears. Looks like the D is back and all, but even that... I think is a partial result of Manning taking his first snaps of the year against them. I think if that game is played a month later, Manning runs through them like he does just about everybody else.
I know Forte looked good, but I still don't see that offense moving the ball consistently... not with Kyle freakin' Orton at the controls with that group of WR's.
Otherwise... completely agree.
either way at chicago in primetime after what they did to indy looks right now as a really tough game...
of course any and all of the above could change after sunday...and probably will
I'm sure it will... and you are now responsible for updating us each week on Eagles opponents for the rest of the season.
Thanks, kiddo...

white will be to close to the cardinal jerseys
You should really make a statement and wear your Skins jersey
Paint yourself Kelly Green and go shirtless. Don't forget to shave.

who wants to start our draft pick countdown? right now we have around the 16th pick and the 30th pick (carolina has 3rd best record in the league). i would say they lose every game from here on out, but will somehow find a way to win 1 of the remaining 6. a 6-9-1 record based on last years standings would give us the 9th overall. just enough ammo to move down and stock up on the matt mccoys and ryan moats. farg this team and the whole organization.
They will finish the season 8-7-1 or 7-8-1 and pick somewhere around 15. Andy Reid will return as the head coach. Donovan McNabb will return as the quarterback. Jim Johnson will return as the defensive coordinator. Marty Mornhinweg will return as the assistant head coach. They will go 10-6 next year and lose in the first round of the playoffs.

Yep. Three consecutive years out of the playoffs before Reid is gone.

Thanksgiving Day Game Specials
FOOD DRIVE
Prior to kickoff, fans are encouraged to pack extra cans of food for their tailgate to benefit our annual Eagles Wives Association and 6abc Food Drive. The Eagles players' and coaches' wives, along with volunteers from Philabundance, will be at each stadium entrance collecting canned goods and cash donations from fans as they enter. All items collected during the drive will go to Philabundance to help feed those in need in the Philadelphia area.
BLACK OUT
The Eagles will be wearing their alternate black jerseys against the Cardinals, and all fans attending the game should wear their black jerseys and gear in support of the Thanksgiving Day Blackout, which will show the national television audience what kind of fan support Philadelphia gives its teams.

The black jerseys are right on time. The Eagles should be well into mourning another season by then.

Ditto. Who can hook me up?
i wonder what our priorities are (player wise)...so we need:
fat farg DT (or tell bunkley [and everyone else for that matter] to gain weight...not saying you play better fat, but bunk has played worse after he dropped weight...but he sure is quicker!). between the tackles they rape us. everyone rapes us. and the action is the same, right up the middle. usually after our dt's are pushed back 6 yards and "make the tackle"
LB (wlb or slb - either way i think gocong should be out of the LB spot)
TE
RT
FS
WR (yeah right)
FB (see WR)
maybe we can get a 2 for mcnabb. between that and the 2 1's, we can fill some gaps, if the organization is blown up that is.
FOr the first time in forever, I don't care if they draft a WR. They need S, LB, DT, RB and T. And they need real talent at all of those positions. Not gonna happen.
