i like this better
a friend just emailed me a pretty weird number
The losing teams at half all had 26 and the losing team at the end of the game finished with 61.
i noticed they all had 61 as i was checking the squares. weird.
3 for 3 baby. I'm on a roll.
I was pulling for Temple but oh well they got their asses handed to them. kudos for at least making it.
this is worth repeating....

"Yeah. They're called DOCTORS."
another weird stat, all 4 winning teams just had 69 points when i checked espn.
sike. unlv only had 67.
You just got served by you.
So, since PSU beat MSU and MSU beat Temple, PSU had the better basketball team this year.
it was depressing. oh well. on to next year.
Belmont huh
I was really close to picking them as an upset on my bracket. But I didn't.
I picked 14 games right yesterday (Temple and Baylor being my two incorrect picks) but one guy in my pool picked 15 of them. He picked Winthrop over Wash St and also had Winthrop making it to the Elite 8. I had Temple and Baylor both losing in the next round so getting them wrong didn't really hurt me.
there was only two upsets so pretty much everyone had at least 13

adam morrison is well on his way to becoming a woman
I took Western Kentucky over Drake and they're falling apart. Terrible pass and then Drake hit a 3 and now down 1 after being down by more than 10 this half.
this game is unreal
klayton korver FTW
they give these iceholes too many timeouts
Holy shtein what a shot. Western Kentucky with the upset.
it was a great shot and then that kid acted like a total douche

Wrong. Tied with 10 seconds left.
SD wins... great game... now a #12 plays a #13 for the trip to the sweet 16.
ha UCONN done!
I had SD in my class pool.

That was a heck of a game. Back and forth for the last 20 minutes of game time.
Both times UConn pulled ahead with little time left on the clock I thought SD was done, but they nutted it up.

this Villanova game is crazy
Of all the Philly teams, Villanova is the only one I really root for. Thus, I picked Clemson to cruise over them and into the Elite Eight.
Oopsy daisies!
Jay Wright! Council Rock represent!
There was like 30 Clemson fans in the pub last night and me.
I got thrown out after the game for "inciting" them.

Maybe next year I'll do a minimal amount of research before filling out my bracket. This year wasn't pretty.
I also missed an opportunity to see a bunch of games from the East bracket in person, as I didn't even realize they were being held at the RBC Center, right down the street in West Raleigh.
I was able to go to the Georgia vs Xavier and Purdue vs Baylor at the Verizon Center in Washington DC for the day games. Nice little mid-court suite.
It was tough seeing Georgia blow that lead, and Purdue seriously looked so dominating on the glass and making it rain form the outside, that I was really surprised to see them lose 2nd rd

THURSDAY
7:10 west virginia – xaiver
7:27 washington st – north carolina
9:40 w. kentucky – ucla
9:57 louisville – tennessee
FRIDAY
7:10 davidson – wisconsin
7:27 stanford – texas
9:40 villanova – kansas
9:57 michigan st - memphis
i picked gtown to win for some reason so hooray for that one.
also spent about 5 hours in car up and down 95 for the temple game, which they lost. i was about 10/15 minutes away from igy, so that really did help the trip. but maryland as a state sucks. it just sucks.
The entire state of Maryland is south of the Mason-Dixon.
In southern cal last week on vacation. My son reminded me just before we left that the NCAA Regionals were in Anaheim. Scored tickets via stubhub for this past Saturday's game at The Honda Center. Frickin' awesome. The atmosphere was electric and we were fortunate to catch two of the better games to date - Stanford/Marquette and UCLA/Texas A&M. What an experience! I did not ever expect a UCLA crowd to be that nuts but the place was out of control. A&M was absolutely robbed on that last non-call. Happened right in front of us Kevin Love of UCLA is a beast. I have to admit it was one of the greatest sporting experiences of my life (right up there with my visit to CBP last April and several trips to The Vet).

RBC = Royal Bank of Canada
For those in the Philly area:
TD Bank / TD Waterhouse = Toronto Dominion

Or was tanking in 2002, when the arena was named. Or in 2001, when RBC bought Centura bank, which is the actual corporate sponsor of the arena.
Yes, all of the above.
Isn't Citizen's Bank owned by the Royal Bank of Scotland or something like that?
sounds like rollerball.
WKU mounting one helluva comeback in Phoenix against UCLA.
Xavier is in the Elite 8 after beating WVU. Pretty amazing run they're on.
Louisville rolled over Tennessee too.
Nova vs Kansas tonight. Gotta root for Nova since they're the hometown team and a major underdog but I'm not going to be upset in the least when Kansas beats them.
im not that impressed with xaivers run as you are...they beat georgia who isnt even over .500 an average freshmen filled purdue team and west virginia...they were favored in all three games
hang with ucla and i might change my mind
i already put 100 bucks on kansas -12 tonight....lock of the tournament...they are gonna pummel nova
True, Xavier hasn't had to face elite talent so far but anytime an A-10 team goes this deep in the tourney it's still rather amazing. All 3 teams they've beat so far have the ability to out-recruit Xavier year in and year out.
georgia doesnt but point taken
just sayin tho they were a three seed

Who has the better chance of winning tonight? Flyers vs. Devils - Sixers vs. Sun - Nova vs. Kansas
For some strange reason I have a feeling the Flyers are gonna win tonight. I don't know if it has more to do with them surging as it does the Devils looking mediocre lately. If I had to choose one it would be the Sixers. I'll root for Nova but they're gonna get smoked.
10 = win
1 = loss
sixers - 6.5
flyers - 4
nova - 0
lines
nova +12
sixers +2.5
flyers +1.5
Against the Devils?
Sixers - 6
Nova - 0
Flyers - -3

fun fact. the last sixteen A-10 teams to play in the sweet 16 have won and went to the elite eight.
Not so fun fact... none of them have advanced past that point.
thats still fun.

k love hits full court shot at final four practice
http://youtube.com/watch?v=Cl0PjlfR9oc
Impressive? Yes.
Worthy of everyone standing and cheering like it was a game winning shot? No.
And now Memphis has added that to their scouting report.
He does that in every open practice. He hits one from half, one from three-quarters, and one from full court.
We used to do that shot on my high school basketball team. Made it about every one in a thousand shots or so.
What would truly be impressive would be if he got the ball back and did it again.
still not as good as this

zzzz time for all of these kids to enter the NBA draft
Rock. Chalk. Jayhawk.
that was maybe the best championship game i've ever watched.
and one shining moment is the best 3 minutes of sports on tv every year.
For the last hour or so since the game ended, one of the local news stations has been reporting from Mass. Ave in Lawrence (basically, the party street) and all they've been doing is interviewing drunk college kids. During one of the interviews with some wasted douchebag I noticed 2 chicks making out in the background.
I wish I had TiVo.
Great game. Phony call from Nantz. Bring on Gus.
Fell asleep with 10 minutes left in the 2nd half
I fell asleep with 40 minutes left in the game.
I didn't watch any of the game and was asleep at 9:15. I "win".
watched john adams and went to sleep at 10:15
Watched Rays-Yankees and went to sleep at 10:15.
well you all missed one of the all-time great championship games.
