Eagles are a 3-pt favorite, O/U 42.5
For the 5th time in 9 FOX appearances, the game will be called by Albert/Moose/Goose
Would be nice if the Eagles could somehow get up and play the spoiler.
calling for rain again sunday....this would be the third rain game of the year....in the nine seasons prior i believe there was one (where it actually rained during the game) and that was a sunday nite game vs atlanta...i might be missing one other but you get the point...this year has been a nightmare at home
bears choke
dallas rout
taterskin loss
rain out the ass
I went to a night game a few years ago against Dallas, maybe 5-6 years ago, that rained for much of the game. It was about 40 degrees and miserable by the end of the game. I remember they were selling these cheap piece of crap ponchos for something like $30.
why are the eagles favorites each week? esp against a 8-4 team?
You get three points for home field, right?

Maybe my memory is being lazy today, but the only bad-weather game I can remember Andy Reid winning was the 2005 NFCCG. I could easily be wrong about that, though...

i remember the dallas game where doug pederson hit cj for the win late...the irvin booing game...where it rained at tailgate real hard but not during the game

would lazy be forgetting two weeks ago against miami?
i woudlnt call the nfccg bad weather...blizzard the day before but at game time the field was in good shape...yes it was cold and windy but starting about december 1 thats pretty much every game from the ohio valley to the northeast
The weather didn't seem that zesty against Miami, but in all honesty, Matt and I were at a bar and hung over beyond all repair, so it's entirely possible that I simply didn't notice the weather at all.
it pretty much rained the entire game
it was the game before they replaced the field
So to answer your question, Yes, that would definitely qualify as lazy. Carry on.
thank goodness for ponchos
The NFCCG against the Falcons started off as a miserable day but by game time there wasn't a cloud in the sky. It was cold as a motherfarger but it was a sparkling blue sky sort of day. I have pictures of the start of the tailgate when it was still snowing and again when we walked over to the stadium. It looks like two entirely different days.
The Seahawks game in 2005 it started out raining and then turned to snow.

I looked it up on NFL.com - it was the 9/30/01 against Dallas. I remembered Brian Mitchell fumbling away the opening kickoff and then loosing another punt still in the 1st quater because of the rain and stiff breeze. Although the weather sucked, it's all good anytime you can see the Eagles stomp the Cowboys live. Light rain, 53 degrees, 13mph wind at kickoff, but would get worse on and off during the game.

The Giants are all-but locked in to a wild-card spot, so what exactly would the Eagles spoil?
Their mood, their day, their parade, their momentum?

yeah thats the game i was thinking of but i thought it was atlanta
the cardinal game where mcnabb broke his leg was rainy too
at the game at home last year against the skins it rained the entire game.
i still have the poncho i bought in my trunk.
right now it's only a 20% chance of rain during the day, the rain is supposed to come at night
the discussion amongst you idiots about bad weather games is farging riveting
please more posts on this fascinating subject
in a few minutes, I'll start posting what errands I was running during all the foul weather games

Apparently Duce will be honored at halftime on Sunday and retire an Eagle.
One of my all time favorites.
Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce!!
way to plan that one out eagles...its 72 hrs before the game and this is the first anyones heard of it...and they are still only "apparently" doing it?
QuoteNot boos, but Duuuuce
Eagles and former Steelers are expected to party alongside Duce Staley Sunday night at XO (1437 South) in a party that's open to the public. The retired running back will be honored in a halftime ceremony at Sunday's Eagles/Giants game.

I was at the Green Bay game in 2003 at Lambeau, where Ahman Green had around 200 yds rushing, and Pinkston won it at the end.
It drizzled at just over freezing the whole night.
I was real glad that A) they have bleacher seating at Lambeau and B) Wisconsiners are fat tubs that make good insulation.
Why does a small section of Montana get the Dallas/Detroit game while the rest of that bucktooth state get Seattle/Arizona?
Per Rotoworld:
Eagles SS Quintin Mikell is expected to return to the lineup this week.
Mikell missed two and a half games with a knee sprain, but has worked fully in practice this week.
Donovan McNabb (ankle, thumb) practiced fully again on Thursday.
Brian Westbrook (knee) missed Eagles practice again on Thursday.
However, the Birds have made it clear that they expect Westbrook to play against the Giants, who may be minus starting MLB Antonio Pierce. Philadelphia has been practicing indoors on turf recently, which could be the reason Westbrook is being withheld from workouts.
barring any setbacks all the injured players will play this week
The Giants are a lot more beat up than the Eagles, but it looks like Jacobs will play.
Out
Gibril Wilson (knee)
Questionable
Plaxico Burress (ankle)
James Butler (hamstring)
Antonio Pierce (ankle)
Aaron Ross (hamstring)
Probable
Brandon Jacobs (hamstring)
Steve Smith (hamstring)
Jeremy Shockey (stomach)
giants beat writer was on wip today and said jacobs is 100%
With a hamstring you can never be sure. He was limited yesterday and "very limited" on Wednesday. I wouldn't be shocked if he pulled that thing 5 minutes into the game, out in the cold rain.

Goes to show you how much faith Vegas has in the Giants as they start their annual second half fade.
