Was there anyone else out there hoping that McNabb would go down with a season ending injury today? I know its morbid, but this would almost certainly get him on a bus out of town for good. Its time the Eagles go down a different path. It was a nice run, but time are changing and this team doesn't have the heart or pride of a champion. A super bowl win would have been nice during this 6 year run, but alas we live in the city without championships.
Next question
no
Um, no. McNabb may not be great but I am not ready for another run of Hoying/Peete/Detmer (either of them)/Kemp/Goebel/Ryan, etc.
Get the fat man out of town and this team improves overnight.

Stop. AIDS. Die.
McNabb wasn't really the problem tonight, smart stuff. Andy Reid needs to die. Right now.
Not the problem???
I can recall at least a half dozen balls thrown at the feet of the intended receivers. Many balls were over thrown including the missed touchdown throw to a wide open schoebel

That pass to Schoebel should have been made but lets be honest that was a tough throw for any QB. He threw some good passes and didn't make any mistakes, he wasn't great but he was hardly the biggest problem tonight.
Word. McNabb left the field with his team in the lead.
It was the farging old fart on the sideline who refused to apply any pressure on the QB with his D and allow Brian farging Griese to drive 97 yards for a TD.
He missed some passes sure, but no one expects him to be Tom Brady. The truth is that this game was pissed away by the coaches and they should be held responsible. Period.

Believe it.
Of course the coaches have the ultimate responsibility, but its up to the team to execute especially when it comes to the redzone offense which is downright horrible. If they didn't have Westbrook the team would have no wins.
Please shut up.
Taking that awful sack with 3 minutes left in the game was the best thing any of the players did tonight because it counteracted Reid's pass-only playcalling and took time off of the clock. Stop bitching about McNabb. I don't love the guy, but your anger is misdirected right now. Focus on what matters. Throwing Andy Ried off of the nearest tall structure.

how about get a frigin stud WR? if brown doesnt drop that TD in the first half the game could have been completely diff.
point is there were a lot of if this or if that. but the truth is there no reason that a team led by griese should be able to march 97 yds down the field with no time outs and under 2 min.
they applied no pressure and just allowed the WRs to sit in the soft spots in the zone and pick up huge chunks of yardage. the one play where they got the holding call...was offset.
Kill yourself, dick.

Just put this on an endless loop. We'll be needing it quite a few more times this season.
The appropriate situation for a prevent defense is when you are up 2 or more scores with less than 5 minutes left. The goal is to make the drive last as long as possible, without worrying about giving up the score. You get the ball back, kill the clock and the game is over.
No NFL coach should ever even think of going into the prevent with a 1 score lead. Both Reid and Johnson should be fired immediately for this alone. It is almost as brilliant as taking the wind in overtime. Oh, wait...he's on the Eagles staff too...
