Title: Bears On Sunday - Anyone Watching?
Post by: Rome on October 18, 2007, 08:21:17 AM
I'd personally like to thank the NFL for removing the Eagles from the national broadcast schedule.  Now I get to trudge my ass down to a sports pub to watch the game but only after the first game is over and the other "fans" have cleared out.  I have no doubt that they'll have New England/Miami in my section so we'll have to sit there and wait for our television until their game is over.

Rednecks and New England douchebags watching a game together.

Yay life!

There should be no reason for Devin Hester to touch the ball on punt returns on Sunday. Rocca should just punt the ball OOB every time. Frankly the thought of this STs unit trying to cover and tackle him is nightmare inducing.

Their defense is not playing well...and they get Darwin Walker back this week which is good for the Eagles. Tommie Harris is hurting and that secondary is shtein.

Depending on the formerly reliable Akers, but yeah that sounds about right.

QuoteAnd the Bears will have their hands full with the Eagles.  As one league source tells us, the players in Philly have a strong desire and passion to support coach Andy Reid, whose off-field problems only got worse this week when a second son was sent to jail.

walker will be pumped to get to mcnabb and have a good game so it would be make sense for us to just pound the ball and keep these guys off of mcnabb but on the other hand chicago's secondary is not that strong so i have a feeling the eagles will go overboard with the passing.  archuleta really sucks...i wish they could pick on him.

i heard jaws on the mike trico show yesterday afternoon and he was breaking down a lot of the games from this past weekend and when they touched on chicago he said that their defense really started to tail off in the 2nd half of last season and did not play really that well in the playoffs either. he said this yr they really seem out of place and nothing like the defense from the early part of last season. injuries aside he said they seem to be caught off guard, missing tackles, and are easily moved off the ball at the line of scrimmage. he went on to say if they continue to play like they have the eagles will hang 50 on them which i found hilarious.

i just get the feeling the bears defense will rebound this game and they will be helped out a lot by the crappy game that is destined to be called by reid.

andy reid over passing against a team that just gave up 10 thousand yards rushing in one game would be worse than him throwing the ball 47 times in the tornado against jacksonville

See, that's what I want to see.

Metro has a horrible website that's rarely, if ever, updated. They scan the issues online, but the weekend ones don't go up until Monday because no one's around over the weekend.

But, yea, yahoo syndicates a lot of college paper articles. I get nothing for it.

QuoteWell, it all begins with the coach. He's the one calling plays and mapping strategy, and he's the one who still believes McNabb is a franchise quarterback. Why else would he choose to pass on seven of 10 plays inside the red zone and involve Westbrook in only four of those plays?

Unbelievable. He had one TD called back on the holding penalty. Hand the ball off to him 8 out of those 10 times and he probably puts 12 pts. on the board.

Friggen' Andy Reid makes me want to strangle him. I can agree with the rest of that article also. The part about how this organization is treating Bwest makes me want to vomit. At least get a payment plan together. It sounds like they're just taking money out of his check without ever having spoke to him about it or, any regard how he feels about it. When he cashed the check, which I know I'd have done, I assume he paid the taxes on it, and now they take the money back. It's money out of his pocket because of the Eagles screw up, and it's not the way you should treat your players, much less one of the best in the game.
