this is an interesting article for anybody who buys Eagles tickets, or any kind of tickets for that matter. however, i found this blurb towards the end very interesting...
QuotePennsylvania is in the midst of changing its current ticket reselling laws to allow for the unrestricted resale of tickets over the Internet. At the moment, only licensed brokers can legally resell tickets in the state, and only at a fixed percentage above face value. Just over a week ago, New York State legalized unrestricted ticket reselling and the Pennsylvania plan would mark a similar measure.
that's actually a really big deal for anybody who wants to just buy Eagles tickets and sell them on Ebay. it's another factor that would lead to people never giving up their season tickets.

it would only be a big deal if they enforced the current laws...as it stands now any person...ticket broker or not...can and do sell their tickets on line at will
5 minutes to go...
my wait time when I signed in to Ticketmaster said 2 minutes, then 3, now 15...or more! WTFFFFF

yep. i actually got tickets to two games but three straight times it told me that my credit card number wouldn't go through. cost me an extra 10 minutes at least.
I didn't even try. I guess I saved myself some hassle.
I wonder if the Eagles realize that this sort of bragging does more to aggravate the fans than them actually scalping their own tickets?:
QuoteSingle Game Tickets Sold Out In Minutes
June 14, 2007
Single-game tickets to Eagles home games sold out Thursday morning. On sale at 10 a.m. via internet and telephone, tickets were snapped up by fans as fast as they were made available.
"This sale is overwhelming," said Leo Carlin, who has seen close to five decades of football in Philadelphia as he enters his 48th season as director of client ticket relations with the Eagles. "Twenty years ago, it was not unusual that tickets could be purchased the day of the game. Now, the demand for tickets surges each year and the tickets go even faster than the year before. It is a powerful display of fan passion."

yeah, that or the fact that the number of tickets available shrinks every year.
oh well, i gots my taterskins home opener tickets, that's all i really needed.
Try and get there early enough so I'm not so farged up that I don't recognize you like last year.
:-D
i'm planning on making a 4-day weekend out of it.

the ability of this front office to toot their own horn (even in the faces of their own fans) is almost uncanny
Leo Carlin doesn't even give us the common courtesy of a reach-around.
I wonder what the aggregate blood alcohol content of the fans in the stadium will be on September 17th at game time?
1. Hope opener.
2. Playing the Deadskins.
3. 8:30 PM start.
(http://www.abestweb.com/smilies/alcoholic.gif) Burp.
ill be there at 11am and probably drunk by 2
I farging love night games. Especially night games against the Skins. They probably represent 4 or five of the top 10 drunkest times of my life.
well atleast they arent the Giants or Jets who dont even sell A SINGLE ticket to the fans, all 75,000 are season tickets. Eagles are good at bragging about garbage like being the paper champion of the Salary Cap, or being the Copper Standard in the NFL, giving Eagles fans a chance to buy single game tix (which was mandated in the contract with the city to buy the landfill for the stadium, etc etc etc. The FO should just STFU and be a leader instead of selling lies. They sidestep the state law for scalping by paying for advertising to RazorGator by the means of single game tix.
god damn i was so not into giving a shtein bout eagles with nothing going on that i totally forgot about these tickets...do they normally go on sale this early?
So, no one cares about getting whacked for another 10% on the price of tickets by the state? How about season ticket holders who are now out another couple hundred?
I care but there's nothing I can do about it. No use pissing into a tornado.
Well, since this is a local government thing, there are people who are responsible to represent your point of view. Maybe you should pick up the phone and give them a call?
This isn't the NFL (private) or a federal (your opinion is too small to count) issue. This is one of the rare instances where you can do something and have it matter.
I would if I were a resident of Pennsylvania.
As a resident of Florida, I doubt my voice would carry much weight in Harrisburg.
;)

isnt it funny its always some piss ant little town or city who brings up these moronic ideas about scamming the taxpayers for more money. Especially when they wont even be affected. What the hell do they have to worry about in Allgheny County?? But its nice to see Rendell sticking up for the little man by removing all scalping laws!! :boom

i will be unbelievably pissed if this happens...and in fact have already written a letter to the eagles...rendell...michael stack and vince fumo
one thing id like to know and am going to call the eagles on monday to find out is will this ten % apply to season tickets and game plans...often these kinds of taxes and fees only apply to individual tickets
I am getting mine from Jim McMahon this year.
im reminded
i got a big fat "we have no idea" from the ticket office regarding that potential 10% hike being applied to season tickets
I don't know if that's better or worse than an "absolutely not".
getting to an eagles home game seems very difficult to pay anything close to face value...i'll be in dc again this year for the eagles game. $400 for two tickets...the food club thing before the game... cheaper alcohol than the stadium...and a parking pass...also the seats are in the lower bowl. it's f'ing ridiculous to find a reasonable price ticket for a home game.
no its not...you just need to know how to look
