Draft day is by far my favorite football day of the year.  It's a full day of football goodness.  Not to mention Mel Kiper, your Lord and Savior.

I'm bummed out, my basement wont be finished till at least 2 weeks from now.  Still having a small get together but at least i'll be ready for september

Although I really like draft day and schedule release day, there is nothing like actually watching a football game, and specifically, an Eagles football game.

Eagles season opener is the biggest day for me.

btw what the hell does opening night game mean...i took it to mean the nfl thursday night opener that kicks off the season

yeah, that's what it means...


obviously any Eagles related event will take precedence over anything I've listed.  i was thinking more in general NFL terms

i thought so but how did three people pick that...that game has ruined opening weekend imo...

I put Draft Day over any non-Eagles related/involved football event.

Draft day (weekend actually) is the only time of year my wife leaves me alone entirely.  I sit in front of that television from the start to the finish of both days usually with a case of beer in a cooler next to me.

The last few years I've had draft day parties which are becoming fairly epic blackouts.  This year my birthday falls on Saturday.

I expect to be smashed to oblivion by the time the Eagles make their first pick.   :yay

For my money, as a devout fan of the current Eagles front office regime, it doesn't get any more exciting than the first day of free agency.

i'm a fan of their whole catalog.

That's a calendar, not a catalog.

I'm quite partial to undrafted free agent signing day myself.

This year it's fantasy draft day for me. It's the beginning of the 27th year of my money league (meaning it's older than I am) and I return to it as defending champion. I can't wait until I get drunk with all those old guys and hurl sexual insults around the room all night again. When they hurl shtein back, all I gotta do is lift the trophy and point out that I screw girls 40 years younger than their wives.

Opening night is right up there next to it. The true beginning of the 5 month NFL football orgy.

Draft day for me this year is rather farged because I got some big thing at work on Monday I'll have to spend all weekend preparing for. :boom I'll be limited to a couple beers and checking in on CF every 2 hours or so to bitch about the Eagles' picks.

As for the Super Bowl, the enjoyment from that can vary bigtime. For instance, if the Chargers win in a close, exciting game, I'd be significantly more happy than if the taterskins win in a blowout.

I love the draft too.  But life gets in the way.

I have been house sitting for friends, who are returning tomorrow at 3.  I agreed long ago to pick them up at the airport, which makes sense because I dropped them off from their own car.  This way I pick them up in their car.  Sweet.  Except it broke down (brakes failed, leak somewhere in brake line as evidenced by suddenly empty master cylinder), and so now in addition to picking them up an hour and a half away, I have to spend another hour each way to borrow a car in which to pick them up at all.  It's a real candidate for the random bitching thread, I know.

In other words, I'll be running errands.

Stop being such a nice guy, Dio.  As you can see, it only leads to pain.
