The 2007 version of the Ghoulpool-Mini is kicking up.
Rules:
RULES FOR 2007 MINI-GAME. (can be found at http://www.ghoulpool.us/?page_id=31)
1. Game season is from June 1, 2007 to December 31, 2007. The entry to play is $11 by check, or $11.60 by PayPal. (Send payment by PayPal to richbo at gmail.com - if you prefer to send by check, please reply by email with your request)
2. To be eligible to be listed as a future-dead celebrity, the person MUST be listed on the National Names Data Base (www.nndb.com). No exceptions, no questions. Cut and dried, just like an autopsy.
3. You will pick 15 names, and rank them accordingly. Any name can appear on any list, so there is no reason to conduct a draft. Send me an email with your game name (that will be displayed on the website), a list of fifteen, and your tie-breaker.
4. You will also need to pick a tie breaker. The tie breaker will only come into play if the most points scored during game time is shared by more than one player. In that case, only the players involved in the tie will participate in the tie breaker. The tie breaker is the date of death for the THIRD person to die during game play. Not the third person on your list, but the third confirmed death this year. The person closest to the actual date of death using number of days as a guide will win. There is no penalty for being over or under this ain't the Price Is Right.
5. Send me an email with your game name (that will be displayed on the website), a list of fifteen, and your tie-breaker. Lists are due No Later Than 12:00 midnight Eastern Time, May 31st, 2007.
6. Points will be calculated on three criteria. a. Rankings of your list. b. Age Points. c. Unique Points. Point calculations for the mini game are as follows:
a. Ranking. #1 gets 20 points. Numbers 2 through 15 will follow this formula: 16 - (rank).
b. Age Points. 100 minus age at death. People age 100 or older will get one point.
c. Unique points. Formula: (Number of people in the game + 1) - ( Number of people with the same name)
7. Prizes will be distributed as follows:
* 1st place 65% of pot, with a $125 guarantee
* 2nd place 35% of the total pot
8. If you actually cause the death of anyone on your list, or pay someone to do it for you, you will be eliminated from the game and forfeit your fee.
9. Deaths must be confirmed. Reports of death with no evidence of death will not be permitted.
10. People currently on death row and sentenced to death are not eligible.
