I'll be in town on Friday. We fly out of Honolulu tomorrow afternoon. My wife is going to Thomas Jefferson Headache Clinic to get her migraines checked. Doctors here suck. The Jeff was highly recommended. Bringing my 10 year old son and the best part is we get the Phillies/Mets on Monday night! I am very excited to see the new ballpark. We also scored getting tickets through a buddy of mine to the Sixers/Cavs game on Tuesday. My son can't wait to see Lebron.
Let me know if any of you are going to either of these games as I would love to see you. We'll be easy to spot at the Phillies game, we'll be the dumb Hawaiians freezing our asses off.
Aloha!
Have a safe trip. You should have made her suck it up until Football season rolled around.
Check the weather for the Phils game. There's a potentially huge noreaster heading for the area, and we might be looking at snow late Sunday and into Monday. At the least, it'll be cool and wet.
yea bring your warm cloths. take the little guy to Pats. cheesesteaks will cure your wife's migraines also. :yay
I won't be there.
Susq, thanks for the heads up on the weather. Exactly why we decided to go to this afternoon's game. What a blast. We had great seats Section 121. Unbelievable. I was like a kid in a candy store. My son and wife equally enjoyed the whole experience. I felt like I was finally with my people. Loved seeing everyone in red. Crowd was fairly mellow today. We are still planning on attending Monday's game - rain, wind, cold, snow permitting.
Oh, and yes I did buy the Shane Victorino tshirt jersey. Walked out of CBP with a Howard jersey for the boy, three phils caps and enough pictures to fill about 10 photo albums.
Sixers on Tuesday night.

The first time I went to CBP, we sat in the right field bleachers, just 5 rows from the outfield wall.
That was the game in which David Bell hit for the cycle. They nearly had to carry me out of there after dying of shock.
I took my son a year later, but he wasn't really old enough to appreciate it. Have a great picture of the two of us at the game, though.
When he's a bit older, I'll take him there again. Dammit, if I have to suffer being a Philadelphia sports fan, so does he! :D
Looks like it was a good game (I watched on TV). I was afraid that Gordon would blow it...but he got some good help.
Sorry about your namesake.

Geo,
My son has not stopped talking about it nor has he taken off his Howard jersey since he bought it yesterday. The whole experience was phenomenal. Once your son is old enough to sit through nine innings, even nine innings of the Phillies, do it. He is praying the rain stops by tomorrow before game time.
We went to Modell's today at the Gallery in downtown and my son grabbed a set of the Phillies complete set of trading cards. Brain washing works wonders.
Next to the Phillies game the best thing about my visit is sitting here watching "Sports Final" on ch. 10 with Eskin. This is hilarious. farging Eskin bashing Victorino.
