is it possible to share mp3's from an ipod on multiple computers? i tried uploading songs from my girls ipod to my library, but i can't. apparently you can only sync one computer to the ipod. are there ways around this? that is fargin stupid. is this a security thing by apple/itunes?
it's the record companies actually.
You can go 1 computer to multiple ipods, but not the other way around when you deal with the music librarys. However, You can copy the music files off of your computer into your ipod if you have storage enabled on the ipod, and copy the data files. Then copy the files to the 2nd computer. If you purchased the songs, you can play them on 5 computers at one time, and infinite number of ipods.
If you bought it from iTunes, you can copy it but you won't be able to play it. Otherwise, yes (http://www.ephpod.com/)

You can copy, and play it. You just put your password in, once you authorize another computer to play your music, you never have to put in your password again.
Agreed - I was considering the general case where you wouldn't want to put your password in someone else's computer.
Anapod works well mussa, there's some hacXor sites out there where you can get it with the serial #. You can copy tunes from hard drives directly to your ipod
