I made a few comments about my wife being pregnant on here not long ago, so I thought I'd just get this out of the way:
Unfortunately, my wife had to have some emergency surgery yesterday, and we lost the baby. So, there's no more little Eagles fan on deck.
It's one of those sad things that happens, though usually not this late in the game. At any rate, my wife looks to be holding up as well as she can be under the circumtstances, and we'll be okay.
Since people on here knew we were expecting, I figured Id just start a thread and be done with it.
Thanks.
I'm sorry to hear it Zan - I know how tough it can be.
Damn... that's too bad, man. Sorry to hear that.
Keep your heads up.
Hey, life can sometimes be a nasty kick in the balls. No newsflash for anyone there. Was just our turn in the barrel, as the old joke goes.
It'll be okay. Thanks, though.
Sorry to hear that, Zanshin.
yea man, like evryone else, sorry to hear that. hope the best for you and fam.
Condolences Z. Glad to hear your wife is doing well though....given the circumstances.
Z -- my deepest condolences. As you and others have mentioned, life goes on. It's just up to you to keep on going.
My best to Mrs. Z.
Sorry to hear it bro, wish you all luck.
Sorry for your family's loss, Z.
Best wishes to your wife for a full recovery.
Damn sorry to hear that. :(
Sorry Z, you and the Mrs. try to stay positive.
Sorry to hear that Z. I guess you could always look at it as Mrs Z came out of it ok. Good luck
Sorry to hear it Z. My wife and I had some issues with trying to have a kid, so I can understand what you guys are going through.
Take care and try to keep postive.
proof positive that life sucks: Zanshin's kid didn't make it, but somehow I did.
I can't even comprehend how devastating something like that would be.
Thanks for the thoughts. It'll be okay. Like most things, it's amazing what you can adjust to when you have no other choice.

Honestly, it feels really quite odd. Mostly a strange, numb feeling. I mostly check on the wife and walk around sort of looking for a purpose. My son came back from his grandparent's tonight and started asking me about the new baby. Trying to explain all of this to a three-year-old probably sucks most of all.
Sorry Z :(
Sorry to hear the news man, my thoughts and prayers with you and your family.
Sorry to hear about the loss.
Extremely sorry to hear about that, Z. :(
The thing about a thread like this is, you have to check in and show how caring you are. Which is all a bunch of bullshtein. I'm sorry your hopes were dashed and all, but the whole thing makes me sick. People who would otherwise be snide jerks turn into sappy Hoydas. farg you all.
I'm reminded of the threads about Herb, who was a nice guy and all, but for farg sake I am still sick of his long, public, drawn out "heroic" battle with cancer.
Life farging sucks.
Do everyone a favor and keep your cynicism to yourself, Dio.
Soon as you keep your slavish allegience to Hallmark nation to yourself, I'll consider it. Until then, Florida boy, you can eat shtein and die.
Nobody has to feel obligated to say a peep. Sort of doesn't matter how anyone feels about it, really, one way or another. I started the thread so I don't get questions asking me about it down the line...and I don't feel like sending a bunch of PMs. I'm not an especially social, touchy-feeley guy, so I'm just trying to rip off the bandaid.
That said: Dio, that's cool that you feel that way...but I'd rather this not turn into one of those threads that goes in some other direction. I just want to get the word out and have it fade away.
Fair enough.
So sorry to hear about this, Zan. :(
Zan...I am so sorry for your family's loss. Not that I need to tell you this but you have one amazing little boy over there and I know in that sense, you and your other half know how blessed you are. :(
