According to CBSportsline.com. I'm not a fan of either team, but it's NFL football--and in the new 90,000 seat Wembley, I'll go see it.
Have a good time cheering for Miami.
worst game ever
So, which one loses a home game?

Almost has to be Miami.
Yeah... in the article, it says Miami is the "home" team... and their opponent could still be the Bills, although they're leaning toward the Giants.
Should be an early season game. And it's not like anyone in Miami cares about pro football.
No, farg that. The Giants got an extra home game last year. Time for them to lose one.
The NFL has to stop sucking NY wang.
do the fans of the "home" team with season tickets get first chance to buy the overseas game?
Only credit cards with valid UK addresses attached to them will be allowed to buy tickets to this game.
:-D
It's official--London it is for a regular season game in 2007. Now, after the way the teams played their two games, including the playoff game, I'd like to see the Saints and Eagles over here. The Saints are one of the teams in the mix to have that as a home game. They're more attractive than a team who would be just breaking in a new coaching staff (Miami) or a team who might be on their last legs with theirs (Giants).
Done deal. October 28th at Wembley Stadium.
415 national game for fox, probably in early october.
They also said both teams will have a bye the following week

Nope--1pm game (stateside) televised by FOX. The game is being played at 6pm UK time. I belong to a site, http://www.nfluk.com, that's already e-mailed me about registering for tickets and two weeks before they are made available to the public, we get first crack at them. I already ordered two at $130 each. The seats are $70-$130 each.
Really? Well I'm wrong as usual. I figured they would at least milk the game for a big time timeslot.

The reason it's not a 4.15pm EST game is it would be 9.15pm over here--and public transportation on the subway shuts down at 12.30am. That's the fastest way to get to Wembley for a lot of people.
I know I'm spoiled by NYC...but the idea that the public transportation doesn't run 24/7 just seems so podunk.
Charm City is gonna feel like living in a hamlet

To my knowledge, NYC is the only US city that has 24 hour subways.
I think you're right. In fact, there aren't many cities in the world that have 24 hour public transportation. But once you live in one for a while, you take it for granted. Of course the buses are running at 4:10a.m. Why wouldn't they be??

I understand. But I'm not sure what the point is of a playing a regular season game overseas if they don't milk it for all its worth in the states. Simply looping it in with the other 1pm games doesn't make it seem like its a "big deal." The Mexico game from two years ago was on SNF. I figured they would try and make it national.
what makes you think Americans give a shtein about an overseas game
Nothing really. But it's something cool that could attract a little more of an audience than a normal game.

Or "the underground". I've only been living here since 1994--but when talking amongst my colleagues and British firends, I say "tube" or "underground"--when I'm on the boards, I say "subway". In fact, when I was in Philly in November, I was taking my family and a family firend around the city and I said, "we'll hop on the subway"--and they gave me the strangest looks (well, my mother-in-law and her best friedn did anyway)--then they understood when I said tube.
The proper lingo is the "Tube".
500,000 ticket requests from 160,000 fans over here--not bad.
Not bad at all.
As for the subway systems, NY runs at all hours because there's something to do, somewhere to go and people doing and going said things at all hours. Our system actually gets used.

Hookers, rapists and crackheads are people too.
Damn straight.
