Should the Eagles win the division then the bracket will look like the first one listed. Chicago, New Orleans and Seattle are locked into their spots. If the Eagles lose to Atlanta and Dallas beats Detroit then the Eagles get the 5th seed and will fly out to Seattle. The possible opponents in the first round for the Eagles are;
New York Giants - A team who has mailed it in. Tiki Barber admitted this week that he has mailed it in. Eli Manning is a bum, Tom Coughlin has lost the team. Basically a team in shambles.
St. Louis Rams - This might be the team who scares me the most. Their defense is shoddy but its their offense that I fear. Stephen Jackson, Marc Bulger, Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce could be a tough group to control.
Green Bay Packers - The NFL would want nothing more than to see Lord Favre in the playoffs. The Eagles fanbase should want nothing more than to see the Green Bay Packers at Lincoln Financial Field.
Seattle Seahawks - Second to the Rams this is the matchup I wouldn't want.
Carolina Panthers - Totally beatable.
Atlanta Falcons - Highly unlikely they draw the Falcons again.
So - who don't you wanna see?
Bring them ALL on. farg not wanting to play someone...if someone wants to get in our way, then we'll farg them up too. NFC is winnable. It's going to take hard fought, punch you in the mouth toughness, but anything can happen in a zesty NFC. Bring it!
Rams. They're the only ones.
doesn't matter now, it's either home against the Giants or at Seattle.
Assuming the Eagles beat the Falcons, the Eagles might be the first team to score 100 points in an NFL game against the Giants. Their defense blows.
Packers can get in if the strength of schedule thing falls their way, and they beat Chicago. So most likely it's either home to the Gints or at Seattle.
Tough call.
BRING ON THE fargING GIANTS
I'll take home vs. Eli, Plaxico, and Shockey any day.
Doesn't matter. The Eagles need to win and I think could win against anybody here if they keep up the same attitude.
Probably wouldn't want to see the Giants after the game Tiki had tonight. Them and Dallas...sick of looking at them. Go Lions!
The Eagles were playing with house money, but now, the Giants game becomes a "lose and I'm going to kill someone" game. I had accepted the season as over, then got drawn back in, and now will burn everthing green I own if they lose this game. It's now that serious.
Yeah it doesn't really matter. To get where we want to go we are going to have to win @ NO or @ Chicago. So no point in wishing for certain opponents now. The road is going to be tough regardless.
I'll take the Jints at home vs. the Seahawks on the road.
The Giants defense was piss poor again tonight. And they faced a bad Skins defense. Eagles kill the Jints at home.
That playcalling by Saunders was terrible. They had essentially 2 timeouts with the 2 min warning and they threw 4 straight pass plays and nothing short or underneath.

Don't shoot the guy who searches for it on google and finds it funny.
Yeah that is farged up.
a lot of Eagles fans died in that attack.
No but seriously it is still wrong.

That's how I feel. If they are going to lose in the playoffs, I don't want them to lose to f-head fans that I have to deal with all the time. Especially since I shook my ass on our receptionist's (Giants fan) desk after the last game.
From an unbiased perspective, the Giants aren't the worst match up possible. Better than the Rams & Panthers, but worse than the Packers or Falcons.

Did she enjoy the ass shake? Is she hot?
For some reason, I'm always uneasy about the Giants. Even if they are not playing well, considering that Tiki pretty much beat the Skins by himself tonight, they still always play the Eagles tough. Divisional opponents are rarely a gimme, especially in the playoffs.
I just think if/when we draw the Giants next week, it will be a closer game then maybe some of us will expect. But, I could be completely off-base as well.
I would probably like to draw the Packers out of that group. However, with the Giants win tonight they virtually clinched a game at the Linc next week unless the Eagles lose tomorrow.
the Seahawks have been up and down all year. Depending on which team shows up I wouldn't mind going on the road and playing Seattle. The Eagles have pretty much played better away from home all year. That should be useful if the Eagles make it past the opening round.
On NFL.com's write-up of the Giants/Skins game, they stated that this is the first time since '89-'90 that the Giants have made the playoffs in consecutive years.
It puts the Eagles streak of 5 consecutive playoff appearances in perspective and also adds appreciation that the Eagles are going for their 5th divisional title in 6 years.

The Eagles FO sucks.
All the division titles are nice, but the Lombardi's are lacking. So, until then, complaining shall commence.

Indeed. But I rather enjoy having a playoff team pretty much every year instead of one every 4 or so.
Like KC said, we are going to have to beat NO or the Bears anyways. Still, I'd love to get the Giants at the Linc and whip thier asses again.
The Giants D sucks, especially the secondary. Randle El's pass to Moss showed that big time.

The only correct answer to the question.

Here's what I want: A Dallas win over Seattle in the WC round. Chicago sucks on O, and their D is starting to fall apart. TO and the Cowboys in Philly for the NFC? Priceless (Of course, that assumes the Birds beat NO, which will be a tough out).

I agree. But it is nice that the Eagles are seemingly in contention every year and we as fans have something to root for all season long. Moreover, with homefield advantage losing its 'advantage', just getting in and having an opportunity to compete might be able to get that team in the Super Bowl on any given year.

I would appreciate the two Super Bowls the Giants have won a hell of a lot more than the division titles the Eagles have won.
A home game versus the Giants is far more appealing than a road game at Seattle....
LIONS 30
COWBOYS 21

I can third this.
All the division "dominance" this year and the resurgence of this team would have a nasty ass stink on it if were to all come to and end at the hands of the Giants or Cowboys.
This is why the Giants are the last team of the final wildcard contenders I wanted to see make the playoffs.
We should beat them and all that... it's just the "what if" that gets me.
When they beat the Giants they have to go back to the scene of the crime in New Orleans. I absolutely hate having to face Sean Payton again. The Eagles should have won that game, but the Saints are the only team in the NFC who I want no part of. Gimme the Bears...but that won't be possible. At least until the NFCCG...if they both make it there
