Report: Green gone after season, Cards pursuing Mariucci
Nov. 22, 2006
CBS SportsLine.com staff
According to a report on HOFmag.com, the decision has been made to replace Arizona Cardinals coach Dennis Green after the season, and the team has set its sights on former 49ers and Lions coach Steve Mariucci.
Preliminary talks have been held, according to the website, although Mariucci reportedly denied it, saying only that he's concentrating on his work for the NFL Network.
Green's tenure at Arizona has been a failure, illustrated by his maniacal outburst after blowing a Monday night game to the Bears. The decision to axe him was made the following day, according to the website.
Mariucci's really making the rounds of teams with inept front offices.
Wow. Rooting for the Phillies is slightly less pathetic.
Fire Reid - Get Green? :)
For who? For what? Why?
Because he is who we think he is?
YOU WANNA CROWN HIM? THEN CROWN HIS ASS!
The rumors were floating again after yesterday's loss. The younger Bidwell wouldn't confirm or deny that Green is gone, which usually means he is...
I like mooch but he sucks as HC. He gets too friendly with the players and never put the time in as OC to really know how to call a game. Whatever tho, as long as he's in our division, it's a good thing.
Cardnals would be making a mistake
Mooch can't coach
Look what he did in Detroit
On the Bright side
He will get you high draft picks ;D
