:-D
What a bunch of bums. Most disgraceful effort in a long time. Worse than any loss last season even.
farg you.
Those internet muscles are bulging out. Whew my lord.
For once Forever/Bunkley/Cole... you actually make a little sense.
Yep, and this thread is overdue. Should have come last week when they lost to that juggernaut Tampa team with the rookie QB. Miracle kick or not they had no business losing that game.

It's bad enough that this had to be created, but by you? Im pissed as it is.
I'll be the first to admit when I was wrong. I thought this team was much better than their 4-3 record and I was dead dead dead wrong. I couldn't have been more wrong.
This team right now is a joke. Period. You won't get any positivity from me after this one. There was none. Not one player on the entire team played well. Not one. Not a single one.
Farg you. And farg you, too. And you, over by the water cooler - FARG YOU! And farg me.
But, most of all, farg the Philadelphia Eagles.

Now the insufferable homers see what I was talking about after the Giants game.

First laugh (not counting the nervous laughter at the Eagles ineptitude) I've had all day. Thanks, GF. :yay
In this imaginary internet life that I live there are two things that I love. In order they are:
1. The Eagles.
2. Being right about everything.
If I can't have the first, I'll settle for the second.
Looks like I'll have to settle for the second.
Relax, the Eagles may be on a losing streak, but at least RazorGator is turning a nice profit on the knuckleheads that are buying overpriced tickets.
Laughing my ass off at the people that paid more than face value to see the Jags game. Suckers.....
As a side note December 1st is quickly approaching, which would make the Eagles inept front office 1 YEAR LATE on their promised date to issue the waitiing list packages and positions. Bad Karma continues to follow this team.........
Anyone selling SBLs for cost???
Didn't know where else to put this:

QuoteWe return to the asylum for the criminally insane with Traci Lords, Gilbert Gottfried, Evan Farmer, American Idol's Kimberly Caldwell, and Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Jeremiah Trotter who search for the ghost of a violent paranoid schizophrenic known as "Mad Ray". What begins as a light-hearted adventure for these fun-loving celebrities soon turns into a blood-curdling screamfest when Mad Ray's ghost makes its presence heard.

Hope I didn't miss this in another thread: ( From Wed's Inky - Narducci)
The Eagles' receivers, tight ends and running backs have typified the team's struggles during a frustrating 4-4 first half of the season.
They have certainly made their share of big plays, but have often erred at the most fundamental part of their job - catching the ball.
They have literally dropped the ball when it comes to being consistent, and it's just one element that must improve if the Eagles are to make a playoff run.
The Eagles lead the NFL in yards per catch with 14.3 per game. They are fifth in scoring offense - only Indianapolis, with 17 touchdown receptions, has more than the Eagles, who have 16. Those are statistics that characterize a big-play offense.
So, on the surface, the receivers, tight ends and running backs appear to be having a banner year.
Except that the Eagles lead the NFL in the most dubious of receiving statistics - dropped passes. According to Stats LLC, which tracks these figures, the Eagles have 27 dropped passes.
Reggie Brown, who has 26 receptions for 502 yards and five touchdowns, is tied for the NFL lead with seven.
A dropped pass, according to Stats, is any incomplete pass that was catchable with a normal effort.
In addition to Brown, running back Brian Westbrook has six dropped passes, tight end L.J. Smith has four, and receiver Donté Stallworth, who has missed four games, has three.
"We have to definitely tighten up on the dropped balls," said Westbrook, who has a team-high 38 receptions for 401 yards and three touchdowns. "I have had a few, all the receivers and tight ends have some, and everybody has a hand in dropping balls."
All the players are aware of the problem, and just in case they weren't, the issue was addressed recently by the staff.
"The coaches have mentioned it, and they shouldn't have to," tight end Matt Schobel said. "Believe me, no dropped passes go unnoticed."
The drops don't come from a lack of effort. It's more a lack of focus.
"It's going to be colder in the second half of the season, so the ball is going to be a little harder," Westbrook said. "So we have to be focused on catching the ball all the way, and make sure we catch the ball before we try to get yards after the catch."
Westbrook makes a good point. The players are attempting to make big plays before hauling in their catches.
"I think sometimes you see openness and try to go before you have the ball totally," Westbrook said.
Of course, the dropped balls are just part of the problem.
"It's been penalties, turnovers, dropped balls - all that stuff culminates into losing ball games," Stallworth said.
The Eagles have only a plus-1 turnover differential. They have been penalized for 491 yards, 98 more than their opponents.
So to put everything on the dropped passes would be wrong. Still, a dropped pass is usually a lost opportunity, and the Eagles have lost more than any team in the NFL.
"I have heard that before about the drops," Smith said. "We throw a lot, too, and with that comes the possibility that there will be more drops."
While that may have some merit, the Eagles are still out of proportion since they are only eighth in attempted passes with 279. As a comparison, Indianapolis, which is right ahead of the Eagles with 281 attempts, has just 10 dropped passes.
While some players tried to downplay the drops, Westbrook was succinct when describing the situation.
"We need to focus and catch the ball," he said.
It sounds so simple, but as the first half showed, it wasn't always the easiest of tasks for the Eagles' receivers.
Dropping the Ball
Even though quarterback Donovan McNabb leads the NFL in passing yards with 2,312 in eight games, his receivers lead the league
in dropped passes.
According to Stats LLC, here is the breakdown:
Player Rec. Drops
Reggie Brown 26 7
Brian Westbrook 38 6
L.J. Smith 29 4
Donté Stallworth 15 3
Hank Baskett 9 2
Matt Schobel 8 2
Greg Lewis 13 1
Thomas Tapeh 9 1
Jason Avant 3 1
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't think the fact that the Eagles pass more than anyone really impacts the dropped ball stat as much as logic might suggest. I think things like dropped balls and bad penalties are more a result of lack rhythm. When an offense is predictable, a defense can more easily thwart the attack and knock the team out of sync.
I am very impressed with your cut and paste skills.
LJ, just admit it, your hands are made out of butter.
Indianapolis chokes hardcore in the post-season, but at least they are fun to watch during the regular season. Amazing that they only have 10 drops.

I missed GBF. Must be in a tailspin since the election. Poor guy.
Bump
Hey, at least we're not the taterskins.
So, do we play AJ for the rest of the year and then try to turn him into trade bait again?
I think the Dolphins still need a QB...
However, Joey H is actually playing pretty well right now.

Something like I just wrote would be better.
say what you want about McNabb and the offense, but it's the same issue as last year, this defense sucks. they probably have the worst linebackers on the planet, Trotter's done, McCoy is mediocre, and Jones, well you know. the defense had a chance to step up and win the game today and they failed miserably, besides giving up a run to Henry where he maybe got touched once, they also left 14 points on the field that would've changed the momentum of the game.
stupid coach....check
wideouts who drop the ball...check
terrible linebackers...check
overrated secondary...check
pointing and laughing
You said it very well. Considering how bad this defense was last year, they have 3 new defensive starters, one being Considine who only started for about half of these games this season. The others Howard and McCoy.
McCoy was a lateral move from Adams, and at BEST a minor minor upgrade. Howard was a huge upgrade at the start of the season, but with Kearse out, it is a downgrade from last season. Kearse and Cole>Howard and Cole.
The same two DTs are starting this season as last season, unless you want to count Hollis Thomas who's playing time dwindled as the season came to a close.
A defense which SUCKED last season pretty much is completely the same, and they want to sell us Matt McCoy and Shawn Barber. Get a reality check please. Walker has sucked for 2/3 years now. BACK TO REALITY.
If someone can find the video of Darwin Walker getting put on his ass like a little kid, I'd like to point and laugh at that until he gets cut please.

No. McCoy may not be setting the world on fire and is a liability against the run, but he has 2 PD, 3 FF and like 5 TFL. That's 10 more plays than Adams had last year. Adams did nothing all year.

True. He'd stand out more with 1. Not having Darwin Walker "Cow-Tipped" as someone put it in another thread, 2. At least one bigger tackle in there to help stuff the run 3. Better LB's around him. Trotter just...doesn't have it like he used to.

Just look at game tapes from every game since Dallas and you'll have plenty of identical plays to that.

Yeah, but the one today was just too funny for words. Looks like another first round pick on a DT this year. At least we'll have 3 young guys in the middle for the next few years.
McCoy wishes he was mediocre
there ya go
he friggin blows
the linebackers are an abomination
ive said it before ill say it again...if you dont have a big strong good d line then you better have beasts for linebackers...if you dont have beasts at lb then you best have a dominant line...the eagles have neither
the front seven is disaster....hope they are happy with patterson stealing money for the next decade
It's amazing how much of a difference Jevon Kearse makes too, especially with the pass rush. Ever since he went down, Cole has been eating the double teams, and we've been pass rush-less.
kearse has been an underachiever since he got here...yeah he had a good start this season but dont act like he is the reason they suck...things wouldnt be a bit different were he playing
Yeah but during the first two games he was owning guys. Having Darren Howard plus Trent Cole coming in fresh on 3rd downs really opened up things for Kearse, and his numbers were beggining to show it. The best part was going to be that once teams started concentrating on Kearse, Cole and Howard were probably going to have a field day.
Even if he didn't put up the numbers he should ahve, just having him on teh line would ahve been distraction enough.
with kearse the teams record is the same
stop trying to find weak excuses for this franchise...its a problem that runs far deeper....a universal change is needed
you cant get embarassed by inferior teams time and time again and stay the course
start the revolution
oh i wasn't trying to excuse the terrible play of this team, I was just saying. Having Kearse would have at least helped the way this defensive line has palyed, which in turn would make the LB's look a little bit better. More pressure+more sacks may have sent one or two things our way this year, maybe we're a game or two better. That being said, the team has played like shtein this year, especially after the Cowboys game.
Edit: I forgot to mention the terrible coaching and playcalling this year, from both sides of the ball. JJ's blitzes are working again, but he's still not using them enough. He has learned that the freaking zone coverage isn't working though, I gotta give him credit for that. He's been more man coverage the last couple weeks.

farg drafting one, we need to sign a veteran who doesn't need a year to be groomed. Patterson is NOT a starter. Walker, well... he's not an NFL player right now.
I want a big, powerful Stroud type DT. Ones that just eat up two blockers and can stuff the run and not get blown off the friggin ball.

He has made more plays on paper than Adams, but him and Adams both share one bad thing in common. On run plays they get blown completely out of the play by the FB. Just go back and watch the Jags game all game and see how many times McCoy was just eaten up by the FB.
McCoy is good against screen passes and that is about it. He'll make some disruptive plays here and there, but he hurts the team on long drives because he gets blown up constantly.
