As of now, I have them at push:
4-3 currently
JAX - L
bye
WAS - W
TEN - W
@IND - L
CAR - L
@WAS - W
@NYG - L
@DAL - L
ATL - W
I'm gonna go out on a limb and pick the over with a 9-7 record. Sad part is they're capable of winning and going 11-5 but they're too stupid of a football team to do so.
JAX - W (Jax was embarrassed by the Texans on the road today too, they are a bit dejected)
bye
WAS - W
TEN - W
@IND - L
CAR - L
@WAS - W
@NYG - W
@DAL - L
ATL - W
I think it's possible they could still go 10-6. But I wouldn't be surprised if they blow a couple of games like they have. This team has me allo confused.
The thing is they will win some of those games that they are not supposed to and get our hopes up, but they will lose to the likes of the Titans.
Agree with SD and Z, I thnik they've very capable of winning all 3 of those divisional games at the end, as well as pulling one out against Jax or Carolina....
But, it's just not meant to be this season. You can't lose ona 61 yard field goal and think that this team is meant to be in the playoffs. They'll find ways to lose those games that they could win, and probably end up 8-8 or 9-7.
I think at most we can hope for them to actually get lucky, get to 10-6, and hope that will be enough to win the division. None of the otheer teams are really seperating themselves so...who knows. :(
Push. It's looking inevitable.
The sad thing is that all three of the Eagles losses were last minute retardation. The Eagles are a better team than each of those three teams. The Eagles are not better than Indy, and with JAX, CAR, NYG and ATL you never know what team is going to show up that week.
Jax just got their asses whooped by the Texans, not sure why anyone would think that game is a loss. All the remaining teams on our schedule are beatable.

Jax isn't the game I thought it would be earlier in the year. They've been playing some really zesty ball the last couple weeks and were beaten easily by Houston today. Of course, since it's the Eagles there's a strong possibility that Jax will come limping into Philly only to find their rhythm.
Indy is not nearly as explosive offensively this year either and they can't stop the run. This is another game that was chalked up as a loss at the beginning of the year that doesn't seem like such a sure thing any more.
Having said that, I don't think any of the games left are gimme wins either. Not after what I saw today. This team could win out or lose out. I hate them.

Because the Eagles just lost to the farging Bucs, and usually teams that get slaughtered by zesty teams (Jaguars.) win the next week.

I never said they'd win all 3 of those road divisional games, I think they can beat the Giants and Skins but Dallas will be a loss. Why is everyone hyping Jax? They're not that good, they just lost got their asses whooped by the Texans.

Oh, definately. Even Indy, if Reid runs the ball. But the problem is, this team this yaer....at least for the time being, it just doesn't seem like it's meant to be. They could very well go 12-4. But they will probably go 8-8 or 9-7, finding ways to lose games they shouldn't.

So were the Bucs, Saints and Giants. With this Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde team they're as likely to lose to a pop warner team as beat the Colts. There's no telling what they'll do when they play as retarded as they have the last two weeks.
The Eagles have had 3 seasons worth of incredibly bad losses all in the first half of one season.
Ridiculous.
It could have easily been 4. Thank God Bledsoe sucks.
I'm not talking about games they're capable of winning (which is all of them).
I'm talking about games they actually will win. I'm giving them credit for 8. 7 is a real possibility.
They'll actually win 8 or 9. 10 If thier luck does a 180 and they make some amazing play to win a game that they shouldn't have been able to win. Kind of like a 61 yard field goal with 4 seconds left.
I'll go with 9-7.

4 is a real possibility too.
Wrong. This team is too good to not get a couple of wins in the last 9 games. I'll go with 6-10 as the floor and 10-6 as the ceiling. 8-8 is the money choice, and this team will most likely not make the playoffs. Again.
They need to finish games. Plain and simple.
For how crappy they played the last two weeks they had the ability to win at the end. They blew it two weeks in a row. That is their #1 concern from here on out.
However, I don't know if this team has it in them to actually rebound. They just don't have to drive that previous Eagles teams have demonstrated.

Thing is, I'd rather see 4-12 or 6-10 and cause some needed changes to be made rather than limp to 8-8 and "barely miss" the playoffs.
Of course, since the possibility of 10-6 is there, I can't just hope that they tank the season, either.
This team is trying to kill me.

I'd rather 6-10 than 8-8.

Jinx.
i said before that kick that if it was good, we miss the playoffs, if he missed, we're in. i'm sticking with that.
So, you're saying 9-7 would have been good enough to get in? I think not.
By the way, I don't know if anyone mentioned it, but either the Cowboys or Giants will be in first place since they are playing each other tomorrow night.

Rooting for a scoreless tie would only give this pack of losers a brief reprieve before they blow 1st place for good.
Yeah, starting games wouldn't hurt. But all that is irrelevant if you're up 1 with 30 seconds left and you give up great field position on a kickoff and let them make a couple of big plays for a prayer field goal.
If the start the game well they bloe TB out of the water. That doesn't excuse them from having the lead and blowing it. Even against the Saints they had a lead in the 4th and blew it. They also started off hot against the Giants and then bit the big one at the end.
I think they need to be at least 10-6 to get in the playoffs this year. I don't think it's impossible, but games like this have me wonder.
No team is going to play a perfect game. However, in the past two weeks the Eagles had leads in the fourth and blew it. Regardless of how they played earlier in those games, they regained momentum and couldn't hold onto it. To me, that is the biggest cause for concern.

Judging how they actually lost this one, with a 62-yard FG, I'd say that not making all the mistakes and digging a big hole in the first half was a much larger reason for the loss. They should have won this game by double-digits, but Avant & McNabb made some dumb-assed plays to give the ball over in the 1st half... and let's not forget the dumbass McNabb play of throwing short of the end zone to L.J. at the end of the first half. Awful.
ok so since everyone has them down to 8-8 or 9-7 let me go out on a limb and be a complete homer and say we will go 11-5 and win the nfc east.
and reid didnt lose this game iggy so i dont know why u would call for his head after this game. in fact reid still has a long leash and of all the changes i wanna see made in the off season he isnt even near the top. the past 2 seasons we thought our Defense was going to be something and amazing and it just hasnt been. today they played well but a game without any sacks or turnovers, esp when the eagles O is coughing up the ball....i just dont know...earlier in the season they were all over the QBs but now with a rookie QB and a rotating offensive line and we dont get any sacks.
actually i just dont know what to think...this is going to be a hard long week. i wont be able to function at work.

11-5 with this team is completely possible. The reason people say 8-8 is because the way they're losing the games. The Eagles could have a 10+ lead in the rest of the games and I bet they wouldnt win 80% of them.
This team could very easily be 7-0 right now. The could also be 3-4.

Good point. This game was just mentally exhausting to watch. We'll see what happens next week. They need a convincing victory so they have something to build off of after the bye.
I'm taking a break from this chaos.

I agree with everything you say other than the 11-5. I thought this D was going to be special this season and for that matter last year.
If the Eagles continue to play stupid football, make crucial mistakes and turn the ball over? 8-8 or 9-7.
If they get it fixed? 11-5.

So did I. Here's what I don't get:
They already have about as many sacks as they did all last year.
They don't need the blitz to generate pressure.
They have enough depth to keep everyone fresh throughout the game.
The linebacker play has been much better than expected.
They play much better against the run.
All this and yet they still find ways to let the opposition remain on the field for an eternity, give up big plays, commit stupid penalties and can't make a big play in the 4th qtr.
I just don't get it.
Push.
Prove me wrong, fargers. I dare you.
