This is a stupid football team.
They drop passes, make ignorant decisions with the ball, take stupid penalties, play soft defense.
Until they learn how to play the game they will not do a goddamn thing.
How many times are they gonna fumble?
How many times are they going to BLOW SCORING OPPORTUNITIES?
McDougle? Idiot.
They have taken TWO stupid penalties on defense the last two weeks. It's bad enough that this swiss cheese defense cannot stop a team, they do dumb things.

Second longest FG in NFL history... just unreal... seriously.
They'll be lucky to win the division at this rate. Two weeks in a row they've sucked in the first half which allowed the other teams to dictate to the Eagles. If they weren't dicking around to begin the game they'd have won hands down. TB did NOTHING on offense and they won. They didn't even play good D, Dono gifted them 14 points.
8-8 here we come!
Bottom line... this team ain't shtein.
That is so dejecting for a team. I really don't know how they are going to bounce back. I mean I feel completely wiped out. How they hell are they going to rebound?
Especially Matt fargin Bryant. Damn journeyman kicker. Unreal.

the sole purpose of Philadelphia sports teams is to build legends in each of their respective leagues...i've come to accept this
I hate Philadelphia sports. Hate it.
mcnabb played like a dumb rookie for 2.5 qtrs. he certainly gets his share of the blame but at the same time, when plays needed to be made, he made them. he nutted up in crunch time this week and has nothing to show for it.
this defense is farging pathetic. the bucs were on their 5th offensive line combination of the year and the front 4 generated almost no pressure. pathetic.
i hope they leave mcdougle in florida. you got flagged for a farging facemask so you kick the farging flag. brilliant move asshat. why don't you just go punch a ref next time and then rape a woman in the stands. at least that would be entertaining to watch.
the special teams gave up great field position to a guy running the ball out of the endzone. pathetic.
Worst loss ever.
A 62 yard field goal?
A SIXTY MOTHERFARGING TWO YARD FARING FIELD GOAL BY A REJECT WHO HADN'T KICKED OVER 30 YARDS ALL GODDAMN YEAR!
I can't believe it. I cannot farging believe this.

Same here. This year has been that way.
Oh well, dwelling on losses like this will drive you alcoholism. I'll talk about this, but my disappointment in the game ended the second the ball went through the goal post.
Westbrook played his fargin' heart out too. The guy had an absolutely amazing game. 100+ yards receiving, pretty much all of which he generated all by his lonesome. Plus he has over 100 yards rushing.
This is so utterly retarded. I can't believe this team.
How are you idiots not surprised? This shtein has been going since the dawn of man in this town. Come close, invent a way to blow it. This always happen. Always. We kid ourselves that one day one of our teams will win, but its never going to happen. I'm used to this. I still get made, curse a lot and scream at random points after the game. But come on, who didn't see this coming? 33 seconds, 2 timeouts? I don't care if its Brad Gradkowsi, Johnny Unitas or Bubby Brister...the Eagles would've found a way to blow it. Just like the Phils, Sixers and Flyers do. God damn losers!
I cannot get over this loss. Terrible.
Why? Why us? WHY DOES THIS STUFF HAPPEN?
If you hear of a teacher snapping in Florida and causing mass destruction detentions... :paranoid
I almost hope that they lose the rest of their games so there is a reason to fire everybody. Honestly this was actually a good coaching performance but they didn't execute. I agree that McNabb played like a rookie at times today. The 2 interceptions on those out routes were horrible. At the same time he would have reached warrior status if they won that game. I am so unbelievably upset right now I am going to crush a bottle of Vodka.

Unbelievable Phreak. I have nearly no words. No team has lined up and beat the Eagles this season without help. I won't even count the fumbles or int's because those are part of the game, either you protect the ball or you don't, but the STUPID PENALTIES are the things that can be avoided and must be lest they cost you ball games.
As bad as they have looked at times in all three losses, they have played well enough to win all three and blew them all with stupid penalties.
It is getting like watching the Phillies at this point and that's not good.

I'd say he would be gone if Kearse wasn't injured for the year. Can the Eagles fine him for being utterly retarded?

I haven't read this whole thread, and probably won't until tomorrow, butthis team is 8-8 or MAYBE 9-7 at the end of the season. You just can't give away games to what should be inferior teams and get to the playoffs.

Got it, I didn't even have a problem with the play at the end of the half it was a pretty good playcall, only TB didn't bite.
The only bad play I can think of from Reid was the LJ smith not running a route in teh endzone....that and not running the ball enough in the first half when it was effective.
But he learned his lesson in the 2nd half, committed to the run, and made a brilliant come back.
And I don't really know what everyone is talking about the defense "Sucking" on the last two drives. They got the ball back to the offense, only giving up a field goal, and then stopped the opposing team's drive at the 44 freakin yard line with 4 seconds left. What followed is a farging amazing kick by someone who has no business lining up for a kick like that.
Unfargingbelievable.

Made a HUGe sack, but Gradowski ducked his head nad McDougal got a hold of the facemask. Was highly upset by the call, kicked the ref's flag, and that added on another 15 yards to the already 15yard face mask.

He sacked Gradowski for a 5 yard loss but grazed his facemask in the process. The Ref threw the flag and McDummy kicked the flag and acted like an idiot, causing the Ref to call a 15 yard personal foul and another 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct resulting in a 30 yard penalty for the Bucs.

I don't think that was Reid's play call though. Because the Eagles were in the hurry up, McNabb was likely calling the plays. But even if Reid did call it, LJ needs to be smarter and not run routes short of the endzone or McNabb needs to not throw it.

Gods honest truth here. There was a chick at the sportsbar with this dude who was in his McNabb jersey and birds cap. First time I ever saw this guy. He was getting into it with the rest of us. Booing and bitching in the first half, ecstasy until :04 seconds. His chick was dragging all game. She was either hungover or real sick. After that first half I felt the same way. after the shock, dismay, suicide plans, punching my son in the mouth, I look over and the chick is holding on to her guy, barely able to stand. Next thing I know I see the manager with his mop and Clorox bucket cleaning up her yak. just a great ending to a super morning.

I'm going to drink every last one of them tonight.
This is the worst loss ever (reg season). To fight back and take the lead after playing so poor only to have that fargstick kicker nail that FG is terrible. No way he makes that, I'm saying. Gruden's pissed he has to kick it. And how can the Eagles NOT get enough push to block that? To get a 60yd FG off it has to be a low trajectory. Runyan, Tra, Manute Bol, whoever should've been in there to get a hand up.

The Eagles were 3rd in the league in scoring coming into today. They score plenty. What they need to do is make a farging stop and get off the field when it actually matters. In their losses, they've given up 30, 27, and 23 points.
The defense didn't give up 23 points today. They never had a chance to get on the field to prevent 14 of them. Having said that though, the D probably would have found a way to give up 18 points off those 2 turnovers. Ya know.....just for spite.
More annoying than Bryant hitting a 62 yard mother farging field goal is that the Eagles, who have been struggling DEFENSIVELY lately, lost a game where the other team didn't score one farging TD.
If it isn't one thing it's the other, I swear.
Gut check time. Cutting down on the penalties, not turning the ball over, keeping focus. This isn't about going back to the drawing board, this is about what is down below, and if the rest of our team is anything like Hanson's then we are in trouble.
considine started? how did he do? i guess i can answer my own question but how much did he play? how was the time split?
Lewis actually got the "start" but Considine did see playing time. Not really sure how much though but he did make a really good tackle behind the LOS on one play. That's about all I remember seeing from him. Mike Lewis' highlight of the day was recovering the Cadillac's fumble that wasn't a fumble.
Since Tampa never really threw deep, we never really got a chance to see either one of them get beat.
