For his horsecollar on Reggie Bush. One question--where was the penalty and the fine when McNabb got tackled the same way near the sideline? Or where was the roughing the QB penalty in the 1st drive when Hollis sacked him, he was down, and another Saints player piled on top of him?
didnt see it so dont know how bad it was but could be the nfl protecting the bush.
What a joke that fine is. McCoy gets fined for inadvertently grabbing the inside of a players shoulder pads. Yet the player who grabbed Troy Polamalu's hair and whipped him around by it gets no fine. To me that play was far worse than McCoys play.
I can't believe that grabbing someone's hair like that isn't illegal. Grabbing the hair like that seems to me more dangerous than grabbing a shoulder pad.
The rules are clear on long hair: it's fair game. Quit yer bitchin'.
players must wear shoulder pads
players dont have to have their hair out their helmet down to their back

Exactly. I loved that tackle.
I know the hair grabbing is legal and I know players have to wear shoulder pads and they don't have to have hair sticking out of their helmet. What I was saying is that the hair pulling play was far more dangerous. The NFL installs rules for player safety and for that not to be a rule is ridiculous.
Waaaaaah....
For you to be bitching about it here is ridiculous. If it's so goddamned dangerous, let the hippies cut their hair, or put it under a do-rag.
This is still tackle football, right? the league hasn't made the full switchover to flag without telling anyone, have they?

With that absolutely horrendous call against the Bengals, it's getting there faster.
my anger in hearing people bitch about how the league is going soft is almost even with the league doing it
in other words please stop whining about it...while i dont like it...its really not that important
it's more important to bitch about it than to stop bitching about it on account of your delicate sensibilities, so your request is denied.

This was a very sneaky way of doing exactly what you're complaining about.
the league going soft = bitching about the league going soft>>>>>>>>>>>>you bitching about the league going soft just to spite me
wonder twin powers activate!
im sorry, i was under the impression that there was something else worth talking about on a Friday morning.
Don't flatter yourself homeboy. If I cared enough to spite you, I'd still be calling you wiggy

1431. whining about nfl calls
your list is flawed
I'm just happy that tackling from behind is becoming more and more illegal. It'll be awesome watching linebackers try to catch up to a running back, pass them on the right, turn around and tackle the runner. That will be super.
i head rumors that soon, all the league will be instituting a lazer tag system for tackling
The loser-faced dork in me is kind of excited about that.
How much did they fine Haynesworth? So everyone gets a fine for horsecollar now? Or is it just the reggie bush factor?
People can get injured at any point and time in a game. Pulling hair is legal, so yes, quit yer bitchin.
Hair pulling and pillow fights are legal, but tackling from behind and spying on naked cheerleaders is illegal. I think you can see where this is headed.
Well - he did horsecollar him. I have no problem with the fine. If McCoy uses the sideline as an aid better he doesn't have to grasp for the back of his neck. He can just wail him along the sideline.
Regarding the laser tag system. Will they allow the darker visors back now? I know how dangerous those lasers can be for your retinas. Hopefully the league sees this and institutes the dark visors again.
