Yeah, yeah... I started this way early. But that's because I have an important question:
Why is Green Bay getting 4 1/2 points against the god-awful Dolphins? Sure, Green Bay sucks too and it's in Miami, but this should be a 1 point or less spread IMO.....
Interesting line indeed. I'd tease that one up for sure...make it +10.5 and its a lock.
Also interesting that Pitt is a 2.5 favorite @ Atlanta.

That's because Atlanta's run defense looked a lot like KC's run defense last week.
QuoteESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that Jay Cutler may take over for Jake Plummer as early as Sunday.
The Broncos are 31st in the NFL in scoring, so it's not a huge surprise. Mort says that the Broncos will likely see if Plummer can help beat the Colts and Steelers in their next two games. If that doesn't happen, Cutler could get the call.
QuoteESPN's Sal Palontonio said it looks "increasingly unlikely" Sunday morning that DE John Abraham and DT Rod Coleman will play against the Steelers.
Atlanta is playing at home, but they could have a tough time slowing down Willie Parker and company without their two defensive line stars.
If Coleman and Abraham don't play, Willie Parker and Davenport are gonna run all over that defense/.

REAGOR IN "SERIOUS ACCIDENT"
Colts defensive tackle Montae Reagor has been involved in a "serious accident" on Sunday afternoon. A vehicle slammed into Reagor's SUV, causing it to flip over. He suffered what is being described as a "severe cut" to the head.
Reagor was taken to the hospital. The Colts are scheduled to play the taterskins at 4:15 p.m. EDT.
The Colts already are shorthanded at the position, due to the absence of Corey Simon. And Indy has had much difficulty stopping the run this season.
Am I reading the scoreboard right or did Pit and Atl play to a 38-38 tie?

Save some hooch for me, Sarge.
If the taterskins manage to win today I might have to go on an arson spree.
yeah, i just saw that. espn was showing a 38 all game on their scoreboard and it said the game was over. yahoo had the score right though.
awesome thing about that game is that i picked up alge crumpler on the waiver wire this week for my money league team. $$$
The team closest to suffering the same heartbreaks the Eagles have this season is Arizona. Now they are down 17-0 to Oakland. Ouch.
I farging hate Arizona.
Every year for the last 3 years or so I've been saying "Hey, Arizona might surprise some people this year." Now, I'm smart enough to know that they aren't going 12-4 in any of those years but I figured they'd make a run at 8-8 or 9-7 and beat some quality opponents. And every year they find ways to finish with a top 5 draft pick. Well, this year was different for me and dispite the offseason signing of Edge and all the drooling that people have done over them, I jumped off the Cardinals return to mediocrity bandwagon and they haven't disappointed me one bit this year. Although they came really close last week.
But even with my complete and total lack of faith in their organization to win any meaningful games during the season, even I picked them to win this week against Oakland. Shame on me.
The Raiders are who we thought they were.

Hasselbeck injured knee - return doubtful.
Is Vinatieri injured? Indy just went for a two-point conversion even though they are up by nearly 20 points. I don't mind people running up the score on Washington, but that's ridiculous.
The refs. Damn the refs.
Hasselbeck's injury looked bad.

Too good to get the top line talent... not good enough to not need it.
And somebody in Oakland ain't living right. They get their 1st win of the season and are easily the worst team in the league and they drop to 4th.
And we let them take the field!
WOW....deep bomb to Burress and Roy Williams ran into the back judge :-D 7-0 Giants already
12-0 Giants. Dallas sucks.
LaVar was just carted off.
Strahan tied LT's unofficial Giants sack record
Bledsoe sucks
TO just got jacked up by Brandon Short, but he got up right away
Lavar's probably done for the season knowing his history.
No way Bledsoe got in there. 12-7
Bledsoe with a McNabb impression on a bootleg and gets crushed short of the goalline, but they gave him the TD anyway. Coughlin didn't challenge...
12-7
Barber fumbles on the 15 and stays down for the count. Dallas recovers and can take the lead.
Drew baby....love ya
Bledsoe throws an awful pick on 2nd and goal. Was much like McNabbs throws yesterday.
I know we need the Cowboys to win, but I just can't root for them. I've tried but can't. I can only do it when they play Washington.

Retards wide open and scores a touchdown. Girls going for 2.
Romo scores the 2 pt. conversion on a draw. 26-15.
Romo throws it to a lineman. Haha Dallas sucks.
Romo pulls a Bledsoe and throws it to a wide open Giants DB who returns it 100 yards for a TD. Game over. Dallas sucks. Their season is essentially over.

That's overstating the case. Dallas is a mediocre team that will most likely miss the playoffs. They still play Arizona, Tampa Bay, and Detroit, as well as the taterskins. Should beat all of those handily.
For comparison's sake, the Eagles are an above-average team that will most likely miss the playoffs. The Birds will probably win 1 or 2 games more than Dallas, barring an unforeseen Eagles hot streak or collapse.
Y'know, the Giants winning tonight makes the Eagles losing to them sting a little bit more.

The Giants have a hard schedule too. Maybe the hardest left in the division. Even harder than our's.
The Giants are clearly in the driver's seat in the NFC East. They have beaten all of the other NFC East teams, and they are in first place in spite of having the Indianapolis and Atlanta games behind them. They have a tough remaining schedule, but not as tough as the other NFC East teams have ahead. I don't see how it's tougher than the Eagles' remaining schedule at all.
The Eagles have lost 3 NFC games, including one to the Saints that could really come back to bite them when they are fighting for a wild card. Why is it inaccurate to say they will most likely miss the playoffs?
The Giants aren't that good obviously. They are a 9-7ish team. I see the Eagles finishing 11-5. Obviously the Eagles will piece things together and make a run. HFA is out for the Eagles at this point, but that doesn't matter, we weren't gonna get it anyway with Chicago's pop warner schedule.

I'd love to see it. Dallas is leaking oil, I love it.
Dallas is staring a full on implosion in the face. They now have a QB controversey. I mean, they had the fans clamoring for Romo before tonight but now they got him. He's essentially a rookie and will make rookie mistakes. Their OL cannot block anyone and their defense is getting exposed. Parcells seems very disinterested and sullen.
It's going to be between the Eagles and the Giants.

The controversy was already there, it was just a matter of when it would come to a head. It showed up after the game against you all, and didn't rest. After that game I figured Houston was the game to try him out in, and I believed last night would go pretty much like it did after Houston. I figured if Bledsoe got the job done against Houston, he would start this game. but would have a short leash if he reverted to form against the Giants in the first half. That INT wasn't just a turnover, it was a drive and momentum killer.
I wasn't really upset by the mistakes Romo made because I would expect them under the circumstances. The thing is, Dallas isn't going any further than last year with Bledsoe at the helm, and I believe Parcells knows that, even if he doesn't want to accept it. Personally, I think Romo's Mini-Favre. He plays like him, that's for sure. That won't swing with Parcells very long either. You should take heart, because this guarantees our season is over if it sticks.
I don't know if the PC is an indicator that BP's gone though. I think this was a disheartening experience for him, but I also think that was as much him accepting that Bledsoe's time has come and gone and he wanted to believe otherwise.

I'm inclined to agree with you. A game like this is one that can sink the season easily. While we're only a game out of first, there are too many things to be solved. (That shouldn't need to be solved). The way things are looking right now, I'd be happy at .500.
One jackass at one Cowboys board was going around crowing about how taking Bledsoe out was a mistake. I said sure, and is he going to be any better in the short or long term? Bledsoe had his "I'll show them" year last year. Say goodbye to the rest of your career unless someone outside of Dallas wants you as a backup and you're willing to accept it.

i think he didn't get flagged for it because he didn't grab and use his weight to pull Tiki down. he grabbed Tiki by the jersey in that area, but also grabbed his legs and brought him down that way
