Yeah I know the bodies aren't chilled yet after yesterdays slaughter but let's talk Tampa Bay.
They have an extremely leaky OL and a rookie QB. A QB who Andy Reid might've married if he was gay. He was fawning over Gradkowski pre-draft this year. Bruce even mentioned that he thought he was going to Philly because Reid had him doing a ton of playbook and play description stuff.
Cadillac has been starting to heat up lately despite running behind that OL. The guy who is the worst there is Jeremy Trueblood at RT. Howard should have a big game.
The Bucs defense is getting old too. They played well yesterday and a few of their stars are rumored to be on the trading block. Brian Kelly and Simeon Rice as well as Jermain Phillips.
I'm kind of glad they won yesterday because they would've been at 0-5 and even more desperate.
Eagles will lose this one too. farging losers.
I'd also classify this as a "must win".
With Jacksonville coming up before the BYE they need to win the final two. If they lose to Tampa and Jacksonville and head into the BYE at 4-4 it's a disaster.
Hopefully Stallworth and Hood are ready to go on Sunday.
The Saints was a letdown game, just like the loss to the Raiders at home in '02 after we finally beat the Giants. We'll handle the Bucs easily and win 27-10. Saints were a perfect let down game coming off such a huge win, this will be a perfect bounce back game against an easy opponent.

If they do that, finishing the year at .500 will be a pipe dream.
Take last year out of the equation and the Eagles almost always rebound well after a loss. I see a win here. Jacksonville? We'll see. 6-2 going into the bye is still possible, although Andy has had issues with 4 types of games in his career:
-- season openers
-- games immediately after Dallas
-- games against Sean Payton
-- games immediately before bye weeks

-- games where he needs to run the ball.
-- games where ne needs to adjust the gameplan on the spot.
-- games where he needs to get plays into the huddle with alacrity.
-- games where timeouts don't come bundled by the dozen.
- games where Mike McMahon is lined up under center.

Isn't Gruden in the last year of his contract in Tampon Bay?
Get Gruden? :paranoid

I guess we are lucky we play the Jags in Philly.
Anything less than 6-2 at the bye is unacceptable.
I think Tampa will be a tougher game than most think. Usually you don't want to play a desperate team, but that win yesterday really fired up Tampa. I'm a tad worried that it might've fired them up and gave them a spark.
Nitpicking is cool.

Why? Can Hood play strong safety?

Yeah, well, no coach has been successful with that.

Every game between now and the bye is a must win. This team looks more and more like 9-7 every time I look at them.
"Let the friction rage on"?
what?
What in the hell are you talking about?
I have Gradkowski as a backup QB in my fantasy league. He's done a decent job so far. So obviously he's VERY good.
If this had been 3 years ago, I would say that you could count on a Jim Johnson defense seriously rattling a rookie or a very young veteran QB. However, this isn't 2002 or 2003 for that matter.

lots of stuff.
that's so tough talk by the Bucs who won a game at home against a bunch of convicts.
It was pretty funny. And I'll give them credit it is better than those Mac commericals that they are ripping off.

the giant game continues to be the killer...new orleans is simply a better team and better teams should win at home as they did...not a big deal...especially not a big deal is they dont pull a legendary gag in the giant game...minus that game they are sitting right now at 5-1 and looking at a tampa team they should beat and a home game against jacksonville into the bye
new orleans is not a better team. lets just get that straight. they are good, but not better. they are monsters at home. any idiot coach could of coached a better game.
a coach is part of your team...if the eagles have equal players but a worse coach than another team then they are the lesser team
From what I saw the Saints played a better offensive AND defensive game. On top of that their special teams didn't Larry, Curly and Moe all over the field. I think we had better start getting used to the idea that the Saints are a very good team.

Yep. That loss to the Giants very well mean the difference between a playoff spot or sitting at home in January. This team is just a couple of plays away from being 6-0. Of course, they're also just a Drew Bledsoe away from being 3-3.

I'd say both teams are probably about even but New Orleans came out with the hunger of a young team trying to make a name for themselves. The Eagles came out like a veteran team expecting to win simply because they've got more experience.

Although I don't think I'm ready to call the Saints a better team... they drefinitely are for real and some of us know exactly why they're such beasts in that dome. I absolutely agree with the Giants part though. Yeah, it's "only one loss", but I can't shake the feeling that it's gonna come back to bite us in the ass. Already, the Giants collapse has made the next two games must wins...

Agreed. One thing I noticed the week leading up to the Saints game is how NO ONE gave any real consideration that the Saints stood a real chance to beat the Eagles. I was a bit worried coming off the Dallas game... because the Eagles were fresh off an emotional win, going up against a dangerous team in the Saints.
I'll bet the Saints made a whole lot of people believers this past weekend. They're for real.
good news: tra and stallworth are practicing today
i'd just rather sit out Stallworth until after the bye...they're not having problems scoring points
They are having serious problems dropping passes though...
he's not exactly H.R. Catchinstuff himself
they are having serious problems catching passes too
Donte should play now... cuz in the end, it Stallworth it.
