Last week vs. Dallas it was L.J. Smith for lack of tackling.
Week 6: Eagles v. Saints
Winner: Michael Lewis for lack of brain. Where's farging Troy Vincent. His window just opened.
rjs, don't leave New Orleans until you have finished the job. If Lewis is still around next week, you are held personally liable for that piece of shtein.
1st Runner up: Hank Baskett for not being able to catch a cold. His lack of catches killed many drives...and my happiness throughout the game.
im gonna go with lewis for the last 2 weeks. only reason he wasn't crucified last week was because tito saved his ass. he bit on the same exact move two weeks in a row at the worse possible times.
get stabbed a lot, but struggle in and out of consciousness until next week when u farg up so we can get those stabbings in too. thanks ahead of time u worthless piece of trash. have fun testing that free agency, asshat.

For a second there, I thought you were directing this last part to me. Then I read the free agency part. Everyone knows I have another year left on my contract here. :paranoid
You're right about Tito saving him...I forgot about that. Michael farging Lewis.
can u play safety?
If I remember correctly and as the name states, always remain deeper than the deepest receiver. I can do that. I'll cherry pick all day. Naturally. :-\
signed.
After Lewis, Andy Reid should be stabbed and burned for failing clock management 101. The guy has NO concept of time out usage.
Hank gets a mulligan because he's not a starter, but Andy seems to think if he just keeps the guy out there, he'll miraculously become one. Not Hanks fault he's being asked to do way more than he's ready for...
btw...good thread.
Stab and burn every blessed member of the defense. Except Dawkins.
Stab and burn Reid.
Stab and burn Ryan Moats. Then do it again. Then scatter his ashes over the far corners of the Earth. Then piss on them.
Stab and burn JJ and the idiot who didn't count the number of players on the field on Gaither's penalty. I would say Gaither but he is a rookie, ehh farg it stab and burn him too.
Ryan Moats is my (http://www.ansi.okstate.edu/breeds/goats/goat1.gif) for running into Wynn.
what everyone else said, and Dick Stockton too
In order???
Even though I've been a Reid supporter since day 1, he's got to be the first. Why? How about trying to go deep in the entire first half? They should have been running on the Saints and then going with the short to intermediate passes. How about because his play call turned a 2nd and 5 from about the Saints 43 into a 3rd and 11--when Westbrook was getting about 9 frickin yards a carry? That drive in the 4th quarter, should have benn run, run, and run some more until they stopped it.
Michael Lewis, for biting ON THE SAME EXACT PLAY that they ran the first time in front of him. Lito had the first one covered--then they changed into zone. He either has no confidence in himself or he's let his contract problems get in the way. This is the SECOND WEEK IN A ROW he's bit on a double move and gotten burned by it.
Ryan Moats for not knowing where he was or where Wynn was on the punt.
JJ--for actually taking Lewis out at a critical juncture--especially when in today's papers, they revealed that Lewis actually makes the calls on the defense--and if he had been in there, maybe Gaither wouldn't have been the 12th man on the field.

4. Joe Horn
5. Hollis Thomas

Anyone who utters the phrase, "feel good story" when talking about the Saints.
I don't feel good. I feel angry and if I were God, I'd flood the fargin' place all over again.

You see, here I have to disagree. The knock some on this board had on Baskett is that he'd never be able to reliably get open. He was open on all those drops yesterday. They were drive killers, every one, and were just as responsible for losing that game as Michael Lewis' inability to master his position.
And, of course, save some lighter fluid for Reid. Westbrook, averages 4.5 a carry, Buck and Moats ran once each, for 5 and 8 yards. I mean, I shouldn't be surprised they threw over 65%, but come on. The knock on NO is there inability to stop the run. THEY START HOLLIS THOMAS AND MARK SIMONEAU! ARGHH!!

I understand what you're saying. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he wasn't directly responsible for ending drives and thus ruining the Eagles' chances. I'm just not as pissed with him as I would have been if he were a bona fide starter who farged up, because I pretty much expect him to screw up. He's raw, unprepared to play a pivotal role in the game.
igy, who is the only person I can think of who made the criticism to which you refer (or is at least the most vocal repeater of it) is mistaken about Baskett..he's clearly capable of getting open, both on short and long routes. But he's not there mentally. His hands need work. I can forgive all this in a rookie.

Baskett has definitely shown the ability to get open. He just needs to hold on to the damn ball. That's all concentration there. He has the ability to catch a lot of balls, and he has displayed soft hands. I agree with Dio, definitely needs to get to that mental state to play the game.
The burned and stabbed individual this week is Mike Lewis. I think he is much more deserving if one factors in his performance against the Cowboys.
Moats is a close second, with Jeff Garcia getting it stuck up his rear.

Very interesting. Hope it works out.
Even with Lewis splitting time at the position I'm still uncomfortable. You just know he's going to be in there for the first huge play.
considine is no better than lewis...but he cant be se either...point being a player change isnt gonna help...at this point jj has to scheme now to not let whoever is in there get exposed
Considine's not nearly as good in run support but he's got much greater range and doesn't bite on the most subtle of fakes. They should play Lewis like they do Trot, on 1st and 2nd downs only.

He is not better, I agree with that. But you would have to hope the kid doesn't bite on play action and double moves like Lewis has been doing. All I want Considine to do is not give up the big play. If he can do that, I'm happy.
i completely agree and have no problem playing him.....if for no other reason they can find out if hes capable of being a full timer to replace lewis for next year
Which would be nice, since they could use that first round pick on corner instead.

That's exactly what this is. The beginning of the end of Mike Lewis' time with the Eagles. I'm just glad Mike decided to start shteinting the bed in his contract year instead of next year after he likely would have gotten an extension.

I don't know when to play Lewis, because the Eagles have been getting particularly torched on 1st and 2nd down. Playing Lewis on those downs might not be worth it, because he will still be a liability.
I noticed Considine has been out on 3rd down a lot anyways. I'm guessing that Considine will see a lot of 1st and 2nd down looks as well.

Was it him or Avant on the one pass? To me it looked like Avant didn't run the route right.
He wasn't throwing to Avant. Avant was the slot guy and McNabb was throwing to the outside receiver (don't remember exactly who it was). Ronde jumped the outside route.
greg lewis...wonder whos gonna win that battle...greg lewis ronde barber ronde barber greg lewis
still not sure why they are running a deep out route after one already got picked earlier in the game
Nah, IGY... I think you're talking about the 2nd TD return (still can't believe I'm saying that shtein). The one I'm talking about was the 1st one where he threw the quickslant to the outside. Barber was sitting over Avant in the slot and he jumped the quick slant route on the outside receiver. That could have been Greg Lewis too... I don't remember. I'll have to go back and check it at some point when I get the stomach to look at it again.
It was Baskett who he was throwing to on that slant.
And once again Greg Lewis, much like last year, did not come back on the ball.
My boy Reggie, despite good productivity, cannot haul in passes when they hit him in the farging hands

I'm done with Jim Johnson. WE NEVER fargING JAM ANY RECEIVERS...NEVER, EVER, EVER! How many farging 3 to 5 yards completions must we allow to enable opponents drives forever. We blitz at the wrong(most predictable times)....we suck, we suck, we suck we suck.

Dmac = burn.
pukerella lost this game for them. even his first TD was a hair away from getting picked off.
6 points and 3 on a 62 yard field goal isn't a terrible job for the D. not good either, but it could've been worst.
Yeah, I can't fathom why anyone would blame the D... this week... for a change.
Donovan's moronic play in the first half, including the last play of the half, cost the Eagles what should have been an absolute BLOWOUT victory. They deserve to choke on it all the way through the bye by getting dominated by a frustrated Jacksonville team.

That was one of the most boneheaded plays. Was it last year or early this year that the eagles did the same thing with a pass to LJ at the 5 yardline before the half?
they only went 20 yards though.

Who called it when the Iggs were going for the TD at the end of the half? You just knew McNabb would throw the short route and he'd be stuffed.
McNabb has got to be the dumbest motherfarger on earth.
can anyone explain to me this teams reluctance and/or inability to get competant kick and punt returners on this team....they havent had one since brian mitchell and its maddening...they HAVE to go out this offseason and get the best available kick and/or punt returner on the market or draft a sure fire returner...
and they cant go into next season counting on jeremy bloom...which is probably what reid is going to do...if bloom turns out to be an nfl player then consider it a bonus but they have to be proactive in this area....this garbage has gone on to long

Hardly. I blame McDougle for the drive before that, but the D as a whole only gave up 9 points, including 3 off turnovers and 3 from a freaking 62-yarder. McDougle's a goat, but the rest of the game was great on the defensive side.
until they let the other team drive and win the game at the end...
They "drove" how far? 25 yards? The kickoff coverage was awful also.
It's easy to blame the defense for that, but of all the other stupid and otherwise bad plays in the game, I think that final "drive" is the least of the Eagles' concerns.
yeah, i've been blaming the kick coverage and the defense since the game ended. as i stated before...for all of Donovan's awfulness, he got them a lead with 33 seconds to go. zesty special teams and defense on the final drive lost the game.

I'll still blame McNabb's three picks and stupidity before the half before the defense. It's tough for any team to win when a QB throws three picks. Even if the two were just picks, minus the six, the Eagles would have been lucky to be in it at the end.

2. Kickoff coverage
3. Defense (played great by not giving up TDs, but lets quit the whole 8 minute drives)
4. Coaching staff (when the team akes mental mistakes, its on you)
5. Reggie Brown (CATCH THE GODDAMN BALL!)
mcdougle mistakes cost 3 points
mcnabb mistakes cost 17

I vote for Special Teams including Harbaugh. Why not have the Highjumper Baskett in there for a 60 yarder. You know the kick has to be low.
