LT with 4 TDs... so far...
In other news, Herm Edwards is a downright horrible coach.
Polamalu was dragged down by his hair on a tackle today.....and a personal foul was called?!
They called the personal foul on taunting.
Denver only putting up 13 on OAK is inexcusable. At home no less. But the Broncs D hasn't allowed a TD yet at Mile High.
Eli started off horrible again only to finish strong.
Miami is horrible. I just can't figure out why they have regressed so much. I guess it has to be traced to losing Linehan and adding Mularkey. And as poor as Culpepper has played Gus Frerotte was their QB last year. Harrington has been a tad betterbut... Do they miss Frerotte that much? Jeez.
Josh Brown made a FG off of BOTH uprights. :o
Neil Rackers ain't got shtein on him.
LJ got the penalty for pulling Polamalu up off the ground by his hair, not the tackle. My mistake.
Someone tackled Ricky Williams by his dreads a while back and it was discussed. The verdict was, it's part of the uniform, hence legal. Guys like Polamalu are offering an extra handle to anyone who might need to grab them.
If I were a coach, I'd require that hair be short, or covered entirely by the helmet so that no one can use it to his advantage.

For a RB, TE or WR I can understand if a coach wanted the guy's hair to be shorter. In a defensive player's case though, how many times are they actually running with the ball throughout the season? For a guy like Polomalu, say anywhere between 5 and 10? Point is, that about 98% of the time he's on the field he will be the tackler, not the tackle-ee.
If a player picked off a ball on the final minute of a Superbowl and was tackled by his hair while going down the sidelines for a game winning TD, then that player would forever be hated in that town.
Unless it was a town like Arizona who couldn't give a shtein about football.
it's legal so quit yer bitchin. smart play by LJ. Hey that mop could get caught at any point and anytime, in a helmet, hands, whatever. you want long hair in the NFL, well then expect to pay by it. plain and simple.
Exactly. No one should be bitching about it. It was 100% legal. The Steelers had no right to complain.
I don't care how infrequently it might come into play, it's an advantage to the opposing team that you can prevent. Get a haircut, hippy.
I think Lamont Thompson has the longest hair I've ever seen on an NFL player...

WHAT?!?!?
YEAH!!
OKAY!
Did someone skeet skeet skeet on his hat hat hat?
:-D
That damn Haynesworth did it!
It probably won't last, but Leinart looks good against the blitz so far.
I'd like to see an upset tonight. GO CARDS!
Where's CardTrader?
Hell yes, I'm with you on that! GO AZ!
It would help the Eagles if the Bears lost this game. Go Cards...
TD for ex-Nit Bryant Johnson!!
He's on my $$$ team too. :yay
What a drive. They just shoved it down the throat of the Bears D.
Now time for the Cards to collapse... :-X
Cards totally dominating, 14-0.
The gunslinger Grossman throws what should of been his 3rd INT of the game.
TD AZ!
The collapse will come, just wait :-D
I've given up the television media station to the old lady tonight, so I'm not watching. In fact, I didn't watch any football this week.
Leinart is doing alright tho, eh?
Ahhhhhhhhhh, 2 TD's on 2 drive against the most dominant D in the league...yea, he's doing well.
I've never seen a Cards crowd rock like this one, somewhere a douchebag named Card_Trader is smiling.
That new stadium is amazing
Some of the wisdom of Theismann: Don't lose yards.
sexy rexy is killing me here
Grossman is horrible tonight. 2nd INT for Arizona, which is pretty incredible considering that Cards DBs have dropped two as well.
this was bound to happen. grossman sucks. whenever i see his face. i want to crush it.

Even though it looks like a Roomba
Rackers misses wide left after the latest INT. meh...
Cut Rackers! So the Eagles can pick him up.
Grossman stripped of the ball. When do the Bears bench him?
17 attempts already, and though he's not doing much yet, Edge is going to get the ball plenty tonight. His line may not be much, but he's no slouch himself. If Chicago doesn't score, he'll eventually hurt them.
Edge has been sustaining Cardinal drives all night. He looks good out there, finally.
Grossman lost the ball again! What the farg is going on? :o
I wasn't going to watch this game because I was expecting a blow out, but after checking gamecenter and seeing 14-0 I'm enthralled by this game. Go Cards!
Barkley (and Theismann) needs to shut the farg up. The Cards are beating the snot out of the Bears right now. Beating them at their own game (so far).
19 for 38 doesn't look great, but if you're telling me that his gains amongst those numbers have been for first downs, then my post is more right than I thought. I haven't paid close enough attention to see where his gains have happened.
They need to keep passing (the Cards) the Bears are stuffing the run - keying on it - and daring Leinart to beat them with his arm, which he has been. The TDs have all come from passes, not runs. They need to keep passing the ball.

Looking at the play-by-play, it seems like the Bears have adapted to him. He was doing much better earlier in the night. He's actually gained about 50 yards but has had some big negative yardage runs.
So which is it, he's gained 39, or he's gained 51 (and lost 12)?

Looks like he's gained 49 and lost 10.
So much for Matt Leinart not being able to contribute much.
I wonder how many Hall of Famers were taken after Mario Williams this year. Way to go Texans!
ugh...fumbled, recovered by the Bears for a TD. 23-10 after 3
That one's totally on the right tackle.
this game is the most absolutely perfect game for my fantasy teams, i was down to IGY by 5 points, and Anderson's sack w/ forced fumble just gave me 6 and the win.
that along with Boldin and Rackers nights led me to victory in another league that i was down by 15 points in, coming into tonight's game
I wonder what Grossman's QB rating is. He has 4 picks, 2 fumbles recovered by the Cards, and at least two other passes that went through the hands of Arizona players.
Unbelievably, the Bears D is keeping them in this game with two touchdowns.
This is sickening, the Bears are winning, and their offense has only scored 3 points.
farging Rackers blows the game. Bears win. :'(
Rackers gets into FG range again....AND CHOKES AGAIN :boom :boom :boom :boom
Rackers shanked the game winning field goal.
The Bears are not the team that everyone says they are, they just have an incredibly weak schedule.
Wow, amazing game. Gonna be fun going into Soldier for the NFCCG and beating them.
It takes one hell of a game to make me feel sorry for a rich, famous, pretty boy who has been sucked off in the press for years.

Agreed. Their average at best offense got exposed tonight too. Grossman blows.
Man the Cards choked that game away. Two runs right up the gut to James when they could have gone PA and gotten an easy first. I feel bad for Lienart because he deserved to win (and be drafted by a competent organization) but the team let him down. That punt return was inexxcusable.
The Bears are over rated. They play in the weakest division in the NFC (Like the Pats do in the AFC) and have no real competition and they've played the Bills (who lost to the winless Lions) the Seahawks without Alexander and the Cardinals. They shoul dhave lost his game. The Cardinals ineptitude let them steal a W.
Rackers choked 2 weeks in a row now.
Holy shtein.
Devin Hester's PR was clutch.
Denny Green just LOST IT on ESPNews. Dropped the BS bomb on live TV and was screaming like crazy.

Damn, someone's gotta put that up on the Internet.
There's a new curse.. the curse of appearing in lame NFL fantasy football commercials. Rackers appears in one this year about being an automatic kicker, and has now choked two games in a row. Simms appears in one... and we know how that one ended as well...

Edgerrin James;
36 carries
55 yards
1.5 YPC
1 fumble lost
Great game!
Why would the Cardinals even punt to Hester at that point in the game?
If that was Dirk Johnson, Andy Reid and John Harbaugh would've been CRUCIFIED on this board. But when other teams coaches make dumb decisions no one brings it up.
I love Green's meltdown. I still dig Mora's "Playoffs" PC better though.
Denny starting calm and gradually getting louder and louder and culminating in the podium/mic slap is great.
Too bad they choked that game away.
However - Rex Grossman looked like a pile o' shtein. Mike Lupica, the little weasel that he is, smoked his hog on Sports Reporters yesterday as MVP too. It'll be interesting to see if their offense was a fluke tonight or a fluke early on putting up big #'s.
Go Denny Green.
I fargin new they were going to choke. Pathetic.
I hate coaches when they call their team "a team of destiny" like Smith did. Win a playoff game first, Lovie, and then talk.
QuoteRavens | Fassel released as offensive coordinator
Tue, 17 Oct 2006 08:30:48 -0700
WNST 1570 SportsTalk of Baltimore reports the Baltimore Ravens have released Jim Fassel as the team's offensive coordinator. The Ravens will hold a 12:00 p.m. EST press conference to make the announcement.
OHMYGODJIMFASSEL :crazy
Billick's just trying to save his ass. This is the last year for the self appointed offensive genius.
His offenses have been downright terrible in Baltimore. He's had no QB stability up until this year when he got McNair. And now even Steve can't help that team. They have good WRs, they have a solid TE but they still eat ass on offense.
They need Randy Moss.
Billick sucks as a head coach. I don't care if he won a Superbowl either. He had the best defense ever to carry his incompetent ass.
Koren Robinson, gone for a year
