2 years ago it was my company's corporate helicopter that crashed into the river in NYC. I was on my honeymoon, we came back from the beach to clean up a 4pm. They had NYC news and i said that helicopter looks awfully familiar.
imagine being a nyc ff and getting this call
today is 10/11
If it was terrorist, you'd like to think they'd hit a more prestigious target.
My commute is going to suck suck suck.

And use something more destructive than a single engine, fixed-wing aircraft.
Some people are apparently reporting that the plane is registered to Cory Lidle.
today is 10/11
10/11/6 is 9/11/01 upside down
PANIC
The only way I could see this as a terrorist attack would be if it were some type of distraction to draw medical, police, and fire attention to that area, then strike somewhere else.
No word whether or not Lidle was actually on the plane.
911 upside down is 116
1/16 = .0625
06/25/50 was the day the Korean War started...
WHAT!!!!
and RIP Cory Lidle
Yeah, word is he was reportedly on the plane.

Ha. Corey Lidle was clearly an Al Qaida operative. Very low level.
Beat me by 26 seconds. farger.

or, you just copied his joke really quick.
I wonder how close Arthur Rhodes lives to where he crashed.
Now Lidle can throw pitches to Thurman Munson in the afterlife, which for Yankees we have to assume to be Hell.

Not an argument, just an observation.
RIP Cory Lidle. This really sucks. :'(
sucks no more or less than any other average guy that has millions of dollars from playing a game, has 6 months off a year and nothing better to do with his time.
or sucks no more or less when someone dies on the street because they had to go outside to smoke a cigarette and get cought in a crossfire.
In the perspective of life, his life doesn't have more or less value than anyone else, but it sucks more because Cory was a pitcher of a baseball team that I am a fan of. So it obviously is sadder than if some stranger on a street dies in a car wreck.
good for nothing yankee fan

Very weird
Even in his dieing hours, he didn't have any control.
It's a damn shame. Thoughts and prayers for his family.

From what I heard, sounds like a combination of mechanical failure, bad weather and inexperience.
And ice cream. Don't forget the ice cream.
Like wingspan i really thought you fargers were joking around about Lidle being the pilot. As was said at least his family will be well taken care of. Back in the beginning of the season the Daily News had an article about him getting his pilots license and how he wasnt worried about any problems with his contract over doing something dangerous.

Good point. I wonder if any smokers got injured by the debris.
I heard Lidle got traded to the Angels yesterday.
yep...for a savior to be named later and cash.
