Some good games today...
Vince Young making his first start
Cowboys #1 draft pick Carpenter inactive again...
Washington to get shtein on by Jacksonville...
Cincy - NE
Travis Henry inactive - Chris Brown starting
Wali Lundy has dropped like a bad stock...hes inactive too.
Pennington was hit and fumbled on his first play. Indy picked up the ball and a few plays later, Dominic Rhodes took the ball in for a TD.
I benched Rhodes in one of my fantasy leagues. :-\
I benched him in my money league in favor of Addai.
any update on chris henry? they say he might be inactive but no official word.
Just in got in to see Vanderjerk miss a chip shot. Nice.
Anyone see Adrian Wilson's 99 yard INT return for a TD?
No, FOX decided to cover half the replay at halftime with tickers and banners. I did see a lot of red and white, but I couldnt' tell who had the ball until he was in the endzone.

Yeah, Vick rolled right and threw across his body to Mike Jenkins. Wilson jumped in front and took off.
Jets hanging with the Colts...
49ers getting whupped by Damon Huard and KC - Frank Gore fumbled again. 24-0 now.
Panthers still struggling. Steve Smith took a low blow to his leg from Fujita - looked intentional but no news on it since. Must not be serious but he looked hurt at the moment it happened.
Vanderjagt missing a 26yder. Parcells was pissed.
TO has 3-73 but Terry Glenn is scoring the TDs. Vince Young looks OK.
My fantasy team is getting killed because Miami sucks.
Albert Haynesworth was kicked out of the DAL/TEN game and the FOX announcers are disgusted with him. On Dallas' last TD, Haynesworth walked past Andre Gurode while Gurode was on the ground in the pile, used his foot to knock Gurode's helmet off, then stomped on Gurode's face with his spikes....

That was a despicable thing to do but since it was against the Cowboys I tip my hat to him....
While Moose and Goose were describing how the league should slap him with a major suspension, who thinks that he might be arrested for assault? Because that's clearly what it was, he deliberately drove his foot down the side of his head, spikes out.

I see where you're coming from, but due to the fact that Guorode wasn't seriously injured the way Steve Moore was after Bertuzzi suckered him or the way Brashear was when McCsorley sticked him to the head I doubt they'd pursue it.
I am in a similiar situation Dillen.

Larry Johnson

Does the extent of an injury dictate if his actions are punishable by law or not? If you shot at someone with a gun and missed or just grazed them would it be ok?

I knew they were a major sleeper and didnt understand why people didnt take them. So far today they have allowed 10 points, 3 sacks, 1 FR, INT, and a TD.
And Chambers just scored a TD.
One can only imagine what Joe Buck's reaction would've been to what Haynesworth did. I mean, if a fake mooning gets him all up in arms what does a swift kick in the face do?
And Moose made a good point - they're playing on a grass field so they have long spikes in the shoes.

Matt Leinart in for the Cards and pulls a Warner and fumbles on his 2nd snap.

Jets try a hook and lateral that is similar to the one in the Saints/Jags game a few years ago. Damn near everyone on the Jets ended up with the ball. Of course, they didn't score so the Colts win. And I think Coles got hurt. Not sure if it was him though because they immediately cut to SD/Bal.
Dallas hardly looked impressive today. That game is going to be a cakewalk next week.
Carolina still isn't impressing. They are merely average.

I only saw bits and pieces while flipping around but Charlie Frye is the DUMBEST quarterback in the NFL. Two weeks in a row he threw an INT in the endzone on a play where he had no business throwing the ball.
Today he ran all the way to the right sideline...planted on his back foot and threw all the way across his body into the middle of the endzone from about the 15 yard line.

I was thinking that too...I'm like - how does KC shut those dudes out and they look good against the Eagles? And how does KC get a shutout when the Eagles haven't had one in TEN YEARS?
Schottenheimer even took a safety on purpose too. Took it from 13-7 to 13-9.
He's such a Hoyda of a head coach. Yes, I'm aware that Phillip Rivers is starting. But come on, they move the ball fairly easily on the Ravens in the first half and don't make much of an effort to score at all in the second. What a joke.

The Eagles had trouble with the Niners? It was 24-3 at halftime and they got a TD with like 10 seconds left to make the score look more respectable. The third quarter and lack of running in the 4th sucked but the Niners didn't give the Eagles "trouble". If it weren't for questionable play calling the game would have mimiced last year.

Is he asking how Bob did like Chad?
Speaking of Chad - he's sucked this year.
I was at a bar near Austin today watching all of the early games. There was a large table full of Buffalo Bills fans there one of them was a 250lb chick that was wearing an OJ Simpson jersey. They had to be the dumbest group of fans of any team that I have ever had the misfortune to be around. They would cheer obnoxiously after any play for positive yards, it could be for 2 or 3 yards and they would go apeshtein. I will never root for the Bills in any game ever again unless it is against a NFC East rival.
A large percentage of Bills fans had severe mental breakdowns in the early 1990s. They haven't been quite the same since.
They're also from Buffalo. That surely can't help one's mental state.

Quote]According the EPSN's Ed Werder, Gurode took nearly two dozen stitches to close seven separate facial cuts, but his eyes were not injured
(http://espn-ak.starwave.com/photo/2006/1001/nfl_ap_haynesworth_195.jpg)
Haynesworth should have his head cut open and be suspended at least one game.
I'd agree to that. But if he doesn't get his head cut open, then I would like to see him kicked out for the rest of the season. What he did was awful.
I would suspend him for more than one game. Goodell needs to send a message. One game won't really help. But then Upshaw and his NFLPA cronies will cry.
The good thing here is that Gurode didn't lose an eye.
And the better thig here, even though Gurode sucks, is that his backup sucks even more. Al Johnson stinks and will be playing in Philly if Gurode can't play this week.
I bet Gurode plays.
I'd rather Gurode is 100% and plays than reap any benefit from Haynesworth pulling a Marcus Vick.

Yeah, and they're beating them too.
I'm still not that impressed by the Bears. They look good tonight but Seattle is obviously lousy without Alexander. Chicago does have good receivers and their size and speed would certainly pose an enormous challenge for our feeble secondary. Chicago always seems like that team that puts up a gaudy record in the regular season but will get their teeth kicked in once the playoffs roll around.

Skins win..
Colts win...
Cowboys win..
Panthers win..
Falcons win..
It's like an unholy alignment of stars is bringing forth the dark ones. Not a good football Sunday for me. :P :P :P
Plus whoever wins tonight will be 4-0 and stay at least a game up on the Eagles...
At this point, I'd be happy to just see them alive in the NFCE. Until I see them excel against some good teams, I'm not even thinking about the NFC as a whole.
This half, the Seahawks haven't even put up the pretense of attempting to win. They've been punting it away on every 4th down, including 4th and 1. I can see TMQ bitching about it already.
Other than the first half last week the Seahawks haven't been impressive at all. Didn't score a TD in week one and didn't dominate the Cardinals nearly enough in week 2. They are great in the first half against the Giants last week(who isn't?) then stink it up in the second half and get blown out tonight.
Someone tell Eskin to get a haircut. Fruitcake.
Some things of note from week 4:
1. In the Miami/Houston game, Miami went for an onsides kick and #57 on Miami falls on it only to have the ball Michael Lewis on him and get fumbled by a Houston player then fall out of bounds. Well that #57 happened to be ex-Eagle Keith Adams. Good job Bullet.
2. In the same game Mario Williams finally got his first career sack(s). 1.5 sacks for the game on the same defensive series I believe.
3. Mike Furrey on Detroit who had a breakout game played safety for the Rams the last few seasons. He played receiver for them in 2003 though, but was moved to safety. Now he is with Detroit and is again a receiver. Good game.
Week 4 observations:
1. This Raiders team could truly be an 0-16 team. They are that bad. Not only are they bad, but they have terrible coaching and just don't give a shtein about playing.
2. Miami still sucks. Culpepper isn't the only reason either, but he is a huge part of it.
3. The Pats stomped the shtein out of Cinci in every which way. Maroney is a future pro bowler. Brady is Brady. Just when you want to count out the Pats, Brady pulls them back with a win over who I considered the best team in football going into this week.
4. Chicago has a very good defense as expected. Their offense seems to be much improved, but I don't know. I'm not going to buy into it completely yet. Everyone knows they can run the ball though.
5. Dallas sucks.
6. Washington got lucky and still suck.
7. The Jets are much better than I thought they'd be. The Colts had to scratch and claw for every win this season except Houston. Their undefeated status won't last long. They clearly aren't as good as last season. On either side of the ball. Not that they'd contend for a Superbowl anyway. We all know the deal come the playoffs.
8. Jerious Norwood can farging fly.
9. For a 4-0 team, the Ravens aren't impressing me.

JR Reed just fumbled the kickoff on the goal-line, and then recovered it. Ran straight up the middle, and tripped over his foot at the 13.
This made me laugh. He can't feel his dead foot.
How often do you think someone just walks up behind him and barks?

They're missing 1/3 of their starting defense, haven't had a healthy Vinatieri yet, and Addai is not Edgerrin.
Addai may not be Edgerrin, but he looks pretty damn good so far.
Addai looks better than Edgerrin. The OL makes the back.
pft (http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm) has a good post about the Haynesworth attack, including a link to the Nashville PD "report a crime" site. I submitted to it, making up lawyerly speak for fun.
QuoteOn Sunday, Oct. 1st 2006 I witnessed, via live television broadcast, Albert Haynesworth, Defensive Tackle for Tennessee Titans, standing upright, intentionally and maliciously stomp/kick the unprotected head of Andre Gurode, Offensive Guard for the Dallas Cowboys, lying prone, with his spike/cleated shoes, opening a severe gash in the victim's head. Blood was clearly visible in the broadcast, running down Gurodes face and dripping off his nose into the turf.
There are plenty of people I would love to do this to myself, but if I were to actually carry out this type of behaviour in your town (or any other), the police would arrest and charge me with assualt, and rightfully so.
Please consider bringing criminal charges against Mr. Haynesworth for this outrageous attack.
Thank you,
Dio

I signed my real name, and clicked that I would testify. Ha.

Reding that really hurt.
Oh, and that last play of the IND-Jets game was awesome.

I'd think you could spell "Reading".

Yes. Its beauty was only exceeded by its uselessness.
Please ban me, I have nothing to contribute..

Yeah, pretty much. They definitely are missing some key guys.
