Exactly who are your posts for then? When you post here you are opening yourself up for criticism from anyone else who posts here. If you can't handle that then try writing them down in a notebook........on a plane........headed to France........on a quarter tank of fuel.

Troy will come back! He'll be our nickle back!
Mark Eckel's journalistic juices must be flaring up. He doesn't get to write about Kevin Johnson but his second favorite person is available now...

Trust me, I can handle the criticism. And my comment saying my "posts are not for you" was a sarchastic response to Diomedes post.
Thank you for your support.
Nice spelling there moats.....
This guy goes on other eagles boards and does the same idiotic questions. Its actually funny watching him getting wrecked on more than one board.

Before you refer to someone as "idiotic", check yourself first. This topic's heading is "Troy Vincent done for the year, maybe his career". That is not a question.

All kidding aside, I'd take him back for veteran depth in a heartbeat.
me too
Actually, anyone who wouldn't want him back might be semi-retarded.
Let's see, we have next to nothing in terms of depth in the secondary, one of our starting corners is out indefinately, and a veteran leader guy with local ties might become available who happens to know our defense and is versitile enough to play some corner or safety. Yeah, that's a tough call.
If the Bills can't use him, I'd say anyone that does want him back is semi-retarded.
That makes no sense. The Bills don't want him as their starting safety...and they want to get the Rookie in. They're going nowhere this year. The team wants him around. I didn't say I want him as a starter, but he can clearly still perform as a role-player. Troy Vincent today is better than Dexter Wynn will ever be. That's ridiculously clear.
You know for a fact he's 100% healthy, then? Good to know.
Did I seriously have to say that "If he's healthy in a few weeks"? That's sort of one of those, "go without saying" sort of things, don't you think?
Last reports I read said he'd realistically be ready to play in four weeks. I'm sort of counting on any team that thinks about signing him to do a little in the way of due dilligence.
So, he'll be healthy around the same time as Lito. That's inconvenient.
Actually, it doesn't matter. We still need the depth. Lito seems somehow more injury-prone than Westbrook. We need the insurance policy. And it's not like Dawk is getting any younger. Having some flexible depth in that defensive backfield, for a team with playoff aspirations, isn't a bad thing.
Are you suggesting that they should cut Joselio?!? For shame!
I'm quite sure he's the second coming...
...but count me in for wanting a guy with legitimate big-game experience in a pinch, if at all possible.
Get Vincent, cut Wynn..give return duties to Mahe.
And since it appears that I have to spell the obvious out for FF...all of this assumes that he even shakes loose from the Bills IR.
Yeah, God forbid I question the "genius" of bringing in an injured 35-year-old for secondary depth.
Where exactly did I say genius? Let me ask you this. It's the NFC Championship game, and Lito goes down with an injury. Hood moves over to start. Would you seriously want Hanson over Vincent on the field?

If Vincent is not 100% healthy and hasn't been playing enough to be in game shape? Hanson.
I thought we went throught that "it goes without saying" bit. Assuming Vincent is healthy and has been since at least Week 5.

He's still 35, then.
All I'm saying is that the "semi-retarded" comment was overdone. I'm not saying which decision I'd make if in that position, only that it's not as simple as you're claiming, considering his age and the Bills' willingness to possibly part with him.

Jesus farg, someone get a Kleenex for
FF, stat!
I really don't think it was. You either want veteran depth, or you don't. And not wanting it would be pretty stupid. The Bills reportedly don't want him because he has so much influence in the locker room, not because of his play. That's why the veteran players are upset.
Moreover, we're talking about someone who knows the defense and would bring experience on the cheap. That's the kind of thing the Eagles like.
Bringing Hugh back for veteran depth was genius.
Actually, I don't think that worked out too horrendously. Pretty much what was expected; maybe a little less. That said, I was happy to have him around. And Troy has shown more recently than Hugh had at that point. But keep on trying.

I don't have to try to point out that 35 years old is far past anyone's prime.
Well that's a shame, because clearly Zanshin thinks the Eagles should sign and start Vincent asap.
Totally, totally saying that. ;)
It's way easier to argue against that than it is the reality that Vincent, if healthy enough, would be nice to have in our back pocket on the cheap for a playoff run. Way easier.
If we had Sean Taylor and Urrlackerz!!11!!@!! we could cut everyone.
Anyone still think Vincent as a reserve safety and fourth corner would be a bad idea? Defense looked AWESOME with Wynn and Hanson in important roles...Awesome, I say.
I don't see why. I'm reading the title of this thread, though, so...
Get him back in here. For real.
His shriveled old injured ass right now is better than both Hanson and Wynn. farg.
Wynn at least did alright on special teams, but he shouldn't be on the field against real receivers.
Isn't he still on the Bills? :CF's going to get charged with tampering!
Sshhhhuuuuutuuuuuppp....
What about Bobby Taylor? Obviously im kidding, but did he officially retire?
Frankly the Bills could use a little tampering.

Not that I know of.
And its funny you bring up Bobby's name...
He'll be in Trenton tomorrow for a charity dinner with Dawk, Akers, Sheldon and some others.
That charity dinner will be like a funeral.
Not really. They'll be over it by tomorrow. Dawk even said they have 14 to go and this ain't no late season collapse so it doesn't hurt as much as it would say...you know, in January at home against the Panthers.
It's good to get those season collapses out of the way early.
