I've had handicapping and betting lines explained to me I don't know how many times and I still don't get it.  But that's probably because I really don't give crap.

It's simple, Sassy

If odds are given:

Team A
Team B -8.5

Then Team B has to win  by nine or more for a bet on Team B to pay out.  Etc.

That makes me feel good.

I usually only ask whenever the conversation turns to betting (like here) but don't care enough to retain the info because I don't gamble on sports.....at least nothing more than a wager with a friend on a particular game.  But there's no spread or anything involved.....just a straight up bet.

Interesting line changes:

Carolina at Minnesota is now a "PK" on most sites (was Carolina -2 earlier in the week).
Pittsburgh at Jacksonville is now Pit -1.5 on most sites (was a PK earlier this week).

Made my parlay plays tonight.  Usually, I hate the double-digit favorites, but this week seemed extra tempting.  I'm sure I'll be proven a loser.

7 Team Teaser first:
Baltimore -8.5
Cincy -6.5
Buffalo +10
Tampa Bay +9
Seattle -3.5
Kansas City +14.5
Dallas -3.5

Pays 21 - 1

3 team regular:
Balt -12
Cincy -10
Green Bay +2

Pays 6-1

If Baltimore wins by exactly 8, I'll laugh a lot.  Likewise if Cincy wins by 6.

New England -6
Kansas City +10.5

These are my picks from earlier this week, updated with any changes in spread in bold.  BTW, the Steelers and Vikings are now ~2 point favorites.  I also like the Bills to win outright against the Dolphins, but I wouldn't bet on it.
