So I'm 3-2 against the spread. When do I get my show on ESPN?
Wish I saw this earlier. But I did well on my three team parlay:
Eagles - 5.5
Baltimore +3
Jax money line....
Yay me.....
I was 1 for 5, and the 1 was close.

Let's hope not as that would only encourage him to keep posting here.

I've had handicapping and betting lines explained to me I don't know how many times and I still don't get it. But that's probably because I really don't give crap.
Seattle -7
St. Louis -3
New York (Giants)+3
Detroit +8.5
Tampa Bay +5.5
It's simple, Sassy.
If odds are given:
Team A
Team B -8.5
Then Team B has to win by nine or more for a bet on Team B to pay out. Etc.

That makes me feel good.
I usually only ask whenever the conversation turns to betting (like here) but don't care enough to retain the info because I don't gamble on sports.....at least nothing more than a wager with a friend on a particular game. But there's no spread or anything involved.....just a straight up bet.

Cool. Thanks for explaining that.
EDIT: Ah... quick on the ol' edit button, I see.
:-D Ya caught that one huh. Not exactly sure how the hell that happened. Clearly a board malfunction.
San Fran +3
Tampa +5.5
Carolina -1.5
Chargers -11.5
Lions +9.5
Cheater. The Lions are getting 8.5.
Different sites have different lines.

What's your farging point?
I've realized my mistake. I apologize, everyone.
I withdraw.
I'm telling you guys... with one wing.
One wing isn't even going to get off the ground.

Much like his posts.
Interesting line changes:
Carolina at Minnesota is now a "PK" on most sites (was Carolina -2 earlier in the week).
Pittsburgh at Jacksonville is now Pit -1.5 on most sites (was a PK earlier this week).
I like:
Indy
Carolina
Seattle
St. Louis
New England
I added Carolina to my picks. I like them minus the points this week quite a bit.
Made my parlay plays tonight. Usually, I hate the double-digit favorites, but this week seemed extra tempting. I'm sure I'll be proven a loser.
7 Team Teaser first:
Baltimore -8.5
Cincy -6.5
Buffalo +10
Tampa Bay +9
Seattle -3.5
Kansas City +14.5
Dallas -3.5
Pays 21 - 1
3 team regular:
Balt -12
Cincy -10
Green Bay +2
Pays 6-1
If Baltimore wins by exactly 8, I'll laugh a lot. Likewise if Cincy wins by 6.

Chicago -8
Tampa Bay +5.5
New England -6
Kansas City +10.5
Washington +6.5
These are my picks from earlier this week, updated with any changes in spread in
bold. BTW, the Steelers and Vikings are now ~2 point favorites. I also like the Bills to win outright against the Dolphins, but I wouldn't bet on it.
Oakland
Baltimore -11.5
Buffalo
Miami -6.5
New Orleans -2
Green Bay
St. Louis -3
San Francisco
New England -6
New York (Jets)

:-D 2-3 this week.
So my show would be on ESPN. :D
Bucs, Packers.
Those two farging Bay teams cost me my parlays.
I went 3 for 5, plus my bonus outright upset pick of Buffalo over Miami.
Get me my own show now!
I got 4 out of 5 right... so I guess I was too accurate to qualify for an ESPN show.
3 for 5 on the handicapping.
Week 3:
Jets at Bills -5.5
Bengals at Steelers -1
Jaguars at Colts -7
Titans at Dolphins -11
taterskins at Texans +4
Bears at Vikings +3
Panthers at Bucs +3
Packers at Lions -6.5
Ravens at Browns +6.5
Rams at Cardinals -4.5
Giants at Seahawks -3.5
Eagles at 49ers +6
Broncos at Patriots -7
