By CHRIS McPHERSON
The Eagles filled out their eight-man practice squad Monday by signing linebacker Torrance Daniels, tight end Tim Day, safety Dustin Fox, wide receivers Michael Gasperson and Bill Sampy, center Jasper Harvey and fullback Zach Tuiasosopo.
They will join defensive end Christian Mohr, two-time All-NFL Europe selection, who was signed to the practice squad for the 2006 season as part of the NFL's International Development Practice Squad program.
Daniels, Gasperson and Sampy played with the Eagles through training camp.
Day and Harvey were both rookie free agents in 2006. Day was originally signed by the Chicago Bears after catching 86 passes for 1,008 yards and 13 touchdowns in 48 games at the University of Oregon. Harvey, a college teammate of linebacker Matt McCoy at San Diego State, was in the Washington taterskins' training camp.
Fox and Tuiasosopo both join the Eagles with some NFL experience under their belts. Many know the name Tuiasosopo because of Zach's older brother, Marques, who is a quarterback with the Oakland Raiders. The 6-2, 245-pound fullback was a member of the Raiders and Steelers' practice squads last season. Tuiasosopo was a linebacker who converted to fullback while at the University of Washington.
Fox was a third-round pick of the Vikings in 2005, but he was on the injured reserve list with a broken arm. Fox was a former standout at Ohio State.
Members of the practice squad can participate in practices, but do not dress for games. They can be signed by another team at any time.
Interesting that Mike Gasperson makes it.
Only 3/7 of the guys are people who were in camp.
I like the addition of Tim Day and Zach Tuiasosopo.
The final spot will be a QB, I bet.
Well, the final spot is still Mohr for now.
I believe that he is an exemption because he's part of the NFL Exchange program.
Spads just said that they added only 7 and still have a spot open.
I liked Tim Day in the draft before the Eagles signed Matt Schobel. He has good hands and pretty decent speed, but I was worried about his production. He didnt have a TD in his senior year until their bowl game.

I heard that also, but I don't trust the correctness of it, and neither should you.
According to Dallas Morning News Cowboys beat writer;
QuoteThe Cowboys can put nine players on the practice squad, including NFL Europe linebacker Carl-Johan Bjork, and hope several of those they cut make it through waivers.
They have an exchange player too and can keep 9.
Timmy Chang can't get no love?
so, when can the eagles officially sign davenport, ponder, etc?

I'm pretty sure Davenport wasn't subject to waivers, and I'm pretty sure the Eagles aren't interested.
Don't think they want Ponder either.
P.S. Hahahaha - RazorGator commercial on Eagles Live
Injury Update: Only Reno didn't practice.
Fox is an interesting pickup. 3rd round pick last year.
Lito would return punts Sunday if Reno can't play.
Andy seems a little excited about putting Nick Cole in as a FB in goalline situations.
Also, he's talking about Dawkins playing LB in certain dime packages.
dawkins is probably the 2nd best lb on the roster.

Cracking peoples ribs. Shocked that Saint Joe and Gentle Andy would allow such riff-raff on their teams!

Two things:
1. Now that he's been touched by the angel of coaching, of course he'll be a model citizen.
2.
QuoteThe alleged victim, Troy Patrick Owens Jr.
Harvey heard the guy's name was "T. Owens" and he wanted to beat him senseless. He'll fit right in.
Ha! Good catch, bro. I missed that part.

It is always a bonus to have a guy on your team that has the name Tank.

daddy very sad :'(
Why don't you know by now he sucks?
I am part of the masses in Hawaii who refuse to believe the obvious - he was a product of June Jones system, in which my mother would flourish.

That made me laugh.

Not so fast...
Someone on Spads' forum pointed out that Marshall appears to have been waiver/NFI'd. The NFI is for "non-football injury list".
And if you recall he missed the Jets game with an "illness".
Players on the NFI list (ala Steve Foley in SD) do not get paid. But if they spend the entire year on the list the team retains their rights. So theoretically he could sit there all year and then be taken off the list next year and be back in camp.
Interesting.
Yes!
Dedrick Roper fills out the practice squad.
Very good.

With the addition of linebacker Dedrick Roper on Tuesday, the Eagles have completed their practice squad for the 2006 season.
The Eagles signed seven players Monday - linebacker Torrance Daniels, tight end Tim Day, safety Dustin Fox, wide receivers Michael Gasperson and Bill Sampy, center Jasper Harvey and fullback Zach Tuiasosopo.
Those eight players will join defensive end Christian Mohr, two-time All-NFL Europe selection, who was signed to the practice squad for the 2006 season as part of the NFL's International Development Practice Squad program.
Roper was first acquired by the Eagles in November of last season and played in 6 games, notching 11 special teams tackles. Roper was originally signed as a rookie free agent by the Steelers in 2004 out of Division II Northwood University. Roper was on the Steelers practice squad prior to joining the Eagles last season.
Daniels, Gasperson, Roper and Sampy all played with the Eagles through training camp.
Day and Harvey were both rookie free agents in 2006. Day was originally signed by the Chicago Bears after catching 86 passes for 1,008 yards and 13 touchdowns in 48 games at the University of Oregon. Andy'll never learn, will he?
I also like Dustin Fox as much as I hate to show any love for Ohio State guys.
