Title: How does my money league team look?
Post by: mpmcgraw on August 31, 2006, 07:36:41 PM

Palmer, Carson QB CIN
Brown, Ronnie RB MIA
Johnson, Larry RB KC
Walker, Javon WR DEN
Williams, Roy WR DET   SEA
Cooley, Chris TE WAS
Kasay, John K CAR
Panthers D

-----------------------------
Collins, Kerry QB TEN
McNair, Steve QB BAL
Bell, Mike RB DEN @STL
Droughns, Reuben RB CLE
Burleson, Nate WR SEA
Wilford, Ernest WR JAC
Lewis, Marcedes TE JAC
Brown, Josh K SEA
Patriots D

I think I pretty much raped everyone in the draft.  Now I am just trying to turn Mike Bell + a reciever into an elite reciever.

It would be better if it weren't obviously a 4-team league.

10 team league.

At least half of the people there had never played fantasy football before.

One guy took Willie Parker in the first round, another guy took Randy Moss with the fifth pick in the draft.

And I have Javon Walker and Mike Bell for Anquan Boldin on the table right now.

Its real alright.  There is only about 2 other teams that even remotely resemble a solid team.

Cant, have to carry 3 QB's, 4 RB's, 4 WR's, 2 TE's, 2 K's, and 2 Defenses.

Cut Roy Williams?

no, keep Roy Williams..no doubt.

Kitna will be on point with this offense and they will pass alot being down games this year. Hes  a nice #1 lions receiver this year barring injury

You just guaranteed him a debilitating injury in week 2.  Congrats.

Well yeah, scratch what I said about Wiliams.  I get their recievers confused.  I kick ass in fantasy football, too.

Somebody offered me Donald Driver for Mike Bell and I'm thinking about it.

I have no depth at WR and Laurence Maroney is still a FA.  Thoughts?

If your league is 10+ teams, Maroney should not be a FA.

And I also should not have been able to draft Ronnie Brown with the 20th pick in the draft.

So, would you do that trade with Maroney still available?

Probably not.  Driver sucks.

Yea I am probably going to sit on Bell for a while.  Hopefully someone's running back gets hurt and they panic.

Did somebody in your league say they were going to draft TJ Whosyourmomma?

Palmer, Carson QB CIN
Brown, Ronnie RB MIA
Johnson, Larry RB KC
Torry Holt WR STL
Williams, Roy WR DET   SEA
Cooley, Chris TE WAS
Kasay, John K CAR

Kevin Jones RB DET
Droughns, Reuben RB CLE
Drew Bennet WR TEN
Wilford, Ernest WR JAC

Some retards dropped Kevin Jones and Jake Plummer so I picked them up.   I just traded the Chargers D and Javon Walker for Torry Holt.  Pretty good day.

Nothing special.

Carrying three QBs, 2 Ds, and 2Ks is ludicrous.  You need to cut Brown, Bills D, and Plummer, and add backup runningbacks.  Fill the D and K position off the waiver wire the week you need it.  By keeping three positions full you give yourself no shot at owning a guy who blows up.

imho

Roster restrictions.  3 QB, 4 RB, 2 K's, etc....

I dont think my team could get much better.  Still looking to upgrade over Cooley though.

3 QB requirement?  2 K requirement?  Glad I'm not in your league.

Dilemna of the Week for me.  I am in a very thin league -- 12 teams, but no bench spots.  Each team has 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF.  You can "hold" a player on your team in reserve bench for bye or injury, but you can keep the replacement only one week at a time.

My team:
QB: Hasselback
RB: R. Brown
RB: K. jones
RB (Injured Bench): R. Droughns
WR (Bye Bench): Ward
WR: Owens
WR: Branch
WR Mason
TE: LJ Smith
K: Akers
DEF: Jax

I am supposed to drop Mason this week because he was replacing Owens on a bye week.  I think I would like to pick up Braylon Edwards, because he is catching alot, as Cleveland is always behind.

My question:  Should I completly drop either Ward or Branch, and pick up Edwards?  Or, knowing that Owens is on the injury report this week, pick up Edwards to replace him while he is injured, but having to drop him once Owens is off the injury report?  The risk is that if I pick up Edwards as a replacement, my waiver priority will go from #1 to #12...  If I pick him up as a regular roster spot (dropping either Ward, Owens, or Branch), I keep my waiver priority which could help down the road?

Help?

If you're going to protect your waiver position by dropping anyone, make it Branch.  He's in the mix with a lot of guys...too many to count on him getting steady looks week in and out.
