Updates will be posted here, as long as the board is up.
Won't play tomorrow:
McDougle
Walker
Westbrook
Gocong
Reno Mahe
Game-time decision:
Baskett (slightly sprained ankle)
K. Marshall (illness)
Hasn't decided if Donte' or A.J. will play tomorrow yet. Garcia and Chang would split the game if A.J. isn't ready.
2's and 3's will play the whole game.
Two words.
Baited. Breath.
Parry will not play because he is a starter.
So its all on Tapeh to have a great game and beat his ass out.
No starters will play, even the new starters like McCoy and J. Jackson.
I'm happy to hear that Tapeh will have every opportunity to break a leg.
McCoy should be playing the entire game.

guess Shawn Barbers gonna get a ton of reps along with Gaither. Hope Gaither gets time at the OLB slots
Buckhalter will be penciled in to play, but might not play at all and certainly won't play a lot.
Greg Lewis and Reggie Brown will not play at all. He "knows what Greg can do".
Greg Lewis and Reggie Brown will not play either.
Bunkley has a shot to play.
Hey Andy - youcut the roster down already. Who IS going to play?
I hope McCants has a great game. Get Mr. Softee outtttaaaaa hereeeee.

All the guys on the bubble will play - the Jabar Gaffneys and the Darnerien McCants and the Dedrick Ropers will all get their chance to shine.
I can't wait for the replay of this matchup on NFLN. Go "Birds"!
Press conference over. Chris McPherson's going to run "Eagles Live" for a while.
A.J. Feeley press conference coming up.
If someone were to guess the script for this A.J. conference before-hand, it would be almost exact.
No questions or mentions of Heather Mitts yet. C'mon, Press Corps!
He actually said, "Yeah, I'd be happy to let Dio have an hour and a half with Heather in a hotel room, but only if he brings along his bisexual girlfriend and a pile of cocaine too."
Dave has a gay contest going on where he says there is one guy currently on the roster that he is surprised is still on the team, even at this point. First person to guess correctly wins some sort of signed memorabilia (edit: an autographed hat).
It's not Bruce Perry or Darrell Lee. Also not Sampy, Gasperson, or Matt Ware.
Dhani.
Stefan Rodgers.
dont know why he would be surprised about anyone .. they need a lot of scrub fodder to play this last preseason game.
Jonas Crafts
who the hell is this guy. i noticed in a fantasy draft yesterday that this guy is listed in yahoo as TE for the Eagles. i have nver heard of him.
Dave is strongly hinting that the team will keep Gaffney.
His reasoning:
--Gaffney has been improving and playing well in practice, while McCants has been declining
--If they cut McCants, he would probably still be "on the streets" if they needed him back, whereas that probably wouldn't be the case with Gaffney.
--Baskett, Avant, and Lewis can all play special teams, so not a big deal that Gaffney really doesn't.
WR's: Brown, Stallworth, Gaffney, Avant, Baskett, Lewis - there we are
MOTHERfargER! I was right! BITCH.
Gimme my shtein Dave!
PhillyPhaninDC is teh winnar.

He never showed up at Lehigh. They had him on the roster along with Corey Peoples and Jeremy Caudill for awhile but they never practiced at all. Then they just disappeared from the roster.
You should draft him though. Excellent prospect.
What does he win? A hat? Signed by who? Stefan Rogers?
Really smart of Dave to give the phone number and directions to claim the prize live.
I'm sure the actual winner will be the only guy to call. Ha!
By mid-season Avant is going to make Gaffney very expendable. There is no way Gaffney gets extended. I think by seasons end it'll be:
Brown
Stallworth
Avant
Baskett
Lewis
Agreed. Avant was drafted to be the tough guy in the slot for years to come.
I don't think they ever had any delusions about Avant playing the outside. His strength is his toughness, route-running, and hands. He's not tall and he's not fast in a straight line.
Fraley will be traded before the season starts. Probably to the Browns. You can tell by how hard Spads in sucking his knob. Dude's history.

Fraley for Reuben Droughns and a conditional 5th rounder. They're hard up for a center. Make them pay.
They're not gonna trade their starting RB with Green and Suggs as their only options.
Good point. Let's sweeten the pot by giving them Marty Johnson.

No, but they are really desperate for a serviceable center. They could definitely get one of their RBs and a nice draft pick for honey buns for sure.
If they trade Hank - they're idiots.
I doubt they will. Hank is now the top backup at LG-C-RG
I agree, Phreak.
BTW, folks... Jerome Harrison is now the #2 RB in Cleveland. Suggs will almost certainly be cut.

I'd take a flyer on Suggs. Not via trade, but if he's cut.
Suggs > Reno
Obviously Suggs is brittle like Buck so that's a risk. But he was solid at VaTech.
I thought Jon Harris went to Billy Mac U.?
Fraley ain't going anywhere.

OT from Lambuth College.
Same school as ex-Giants WR ROn Dixon. He's the schmoe who gave us all a heart attack against the Jints in 2001 when he almost took it to the house on that lateral play.

What kind of injuries has Suggs had? I know he had a knee operation in college, but that didn't seem to slow him down in college. Last year he had a broken thumb that made him miss like 7-8 games. I am not sure if he has the same kind of serious injuries that C-Buck has had...

I would honestly rather have Reno than Suggs. Without Reno, expect a lot of fumbled punt returns.

Not one person has ever given me a good reason for the team to have anyone other than Westbrook returning punts.
Well, you know he's not gonna get the hand off on the first down play following a decent punt return..is that good enough reason?
No.
Because if Reno isn't back there then there's no reason for a pass-heavy team to keep 4 RBs.
It's alright with you if, because Westbrook is on the sideline catching his wind, the opposing D knows the Eagles aren't going to run??

Says the guy who calls him an injury prone small RB...
Well Jesus Christ, he IS an injury prone small RB.
I know why THEY don't want him back there. He's made out of pretzeled bread and gets hurt a lot as it is. They don't want to risk him being injured further.
But I don't buy the whole 'do you want him on the sidelines on first down, letting the opponent know that you going to be passing?' thing for two reasons:
1. This team is always passing on first down anyway. If the other team doesn't know that by now they deserve to lose.
2. Reid has always worked more than one RB into the offense. Put the other dude in if wittle Bwian is too tired.
And Mahe is the picture of health?
Yeah, I totally said that.

because Reno Mahe led the NFL in punt return average last year. :-D
the sad part about that is its so true, and thats what the coaches have their eye on--the fact that he did that in a half season = JOB SECURITY
I'm coming around on Reno. Maybe the whole trick is we all have to accept him for him to actually be cut.
BTW, one thing Spadaro mentioned is that when Ritchie and Parry were competing for the FB job, Ritchie sat out the final pre-season game and the general assumption was that this meant Ritchie was likely the starter... but he ended up being cut in favor of Parry. Tomorrow night, Parry will sit while Tapeh will play. Intriguing... sort of.
Tapeh got a whole five snaps at fullback in games and he's going to be the starter?
I did an analysist of the FB's in the Raiders game for my upcoming website and it was obvious that Parry is a much much better lead blocker than Tapeh at this point in time. Tapeh has a better background in running ala Alstott so it depends on what type of player Reid is looking for.

He gave a very non-committal answer to that question.
Interesting theory about Reid holding Greg Lewis out of tomorrow night's game:
After showing some speed/skills against the Steelers, the Reid/Heckert are actively trying to trade Lewis so that they can keep both McCants and Gaffney... so, they need to make sure he doesn't get injured tomorrow and also want his performance against the Steelers "fresh" in the memory of other GM's.
If they can get anyone to give them anything for Lewis they should be crowned Teh Most Biggestest Geniuses Evar!!
Seriously, he has less value than Pinkston. Who had no value.
Interesting, but trade for what?
What could we get for Greg Lewis that could possibly be more vaulable to us than Greg is himself? Greg isn't the greatest receiver in the world, but if Baskett struggles, then Greg is our #3 guy.
Either Gaffney or Avant is the #3 guy. Greg Lewis sucks in the slot.
Lewis has more value than Pinkston right now. Sadly.
He does have more value than Pinkston, #1 because he has heels
Lewis could be Az-Azir Hakim like trade bait. A guy that has very good speed, coveted by teams, very inconsistent and makes a big play here and there
hurry up
Lewis's value will never be higher than it is now. Before the Steelers game, I considered him almost certain to be cut... but with his 2004 playoffs and half-acceptable stats in 2005, he now has value.
Look, Simoneau ended up being a key part of a big deal. Did you see that coming?
why Lewis would ever get the right to sit, regardless if Reid wants the others to play more is beyond me.
I mean, when your the 4th receiver on a team, that tells me you still have work to do.
Like your thinking FF--ya neva know
